I passed my test four months ago, couple of weeks after the first comment. No longer lost on the roundabouts. Now I perform a donut on the roundabout every time I see a learner driver. 😜
Thank you so much, this question has been on my mind, searched if I could find a video on it but couldn’t find such and i woke up this morning to see you have posted a video to answer the question, God bless you.
This is exactly what I experienced this evening when I indicated to leave the roundabout there was a van came from nowhere behind me. Now I know where it came from. My instructor told me to speed up and use the right lane to leave.
@@user-qj5pc4pj9k Some exits only have one lane so you have to merge over. In a real situation - not worried about test scores - just ease off, let the moron go ahead, or, if safer (depends where moron is), speed up. If you can't do either safely, there is absolutely nothing wrong with carrying on around the roundabout again, rather than taking a random wrong exit. I've done that when I was in the right lane and realised I should have been in the left one.

This is a good video again thank you for it. Sometimes I have to do a full circle and I can go out from the roundabout just second time but it's an uncommon occasion.
nice explanation in all your videos. if i seen your videos in the first place I would pass my test without many attempts. your videos really helped me a lot as a new driver.
Would like to see video on Staples Corner roundabout turning right from Edgeware Rd North to A406 East during the rush hour with traffic lights on red before exiting and traffic blocking the exit. Three lanes on the roundabout and two lanes at the exit. Good luck!
Thank you. Why do you recommend taking the next exit as opposed to going all the way round again in order to re-attempt the original one? Won't that irritate the Examiner in the test as he has to recalculate the route and everything?
It’s risky if you’re taking the wrong direction on your test. You won’t fail for taking the wrong route as long as you do it safely but it could irritate the examiner and they might be more inclined to judge you more harshly for your driving faults. It’s not ideal to take the wrong direction for that reason.
Thank you very much. Great explanation. Can you also please explain understanding of exits. For example if one missed their intended exit then how do they know next safe exit as they feel lost and confused and prone to make grave mistakes out of nervousness. They might be taking a wrong exit for the lane they are in. Please explain this. A video explaination if this would be great!!! Thank you.
Me too thinks the same. Is it okay to go in a right lane in this scenario? I am having test in 2 weeks. It will help me a lot, pls answer. Last time I failed because of lane change in roundabouts 😔
@@abubakkartajudeen9818 If there is NO car following u, u'd better take the left lane on exit, if not, u can exit on the right lane to avoid the car following u and get back to left lane later.
Where I am from people don't know how to use a round a bout, if you could please verify. There is a 4 way yield, one lane round about with one side having the larger amount of traffic into the subdivision. Those entering, follow the leader with no yielding. The 3 other sides are waiting for the traffic to clear. My question is are they suppose to yield before entering the round about so the other 3 sides have a chance to enter?
Can I still leave from the 3rd exit right lane ? If the car on my left came from my 1st exit and was on its left lane, it should go to its left or staright ahead... if it goes to its left(my 2nd), I can do the mirror, signal, spiral out to my left and leave from my 3rd exit in the left lane... if it continues to its straight ahead (my 3rd), it should be on the left lane... so can I leave from the right lane ??? (Since both of us are taking the same exit)
I like your video. Please share a video for blind spot check on the roundabout. Recently I failed because I nearly hit the kerb on a roundabout while checking the blind spot. Thank you
This has confused me, my driving instructor told me if the round about has 2 lanes at the exit and I can't safely move into the left lane because another car I should exit on the right lane and move over to the left lane as soon as possible!
That's fine Cally, but if there is a car then the danger is WHAT IF THE CAR CARRIES ON TO THE NEXT EXIT? So you have to be extra careful even if you exit on the right-lane. The reason you need to get back to the left lane is because everyone knows you are leaving. You are making it clear to everyone. Staying on the right lane gives an impression that you will or might go to the next exit and that is the problem. So what your instructor said Cally is correct, but the danger remains.
