- It took a lot of sprites editing especially on the ride armor part and near the end but still I enjoyed doing it. This took a long time because it has higher frame rate than the first one. Some effects and animation were made by me.
Things I wanted to happen on the vid.
1. True to both characters.
2. There are no other game influences or anime like DBZ etc. even though I use some DBZ sound effects and Metal Slug Sprites. Anyway, What I meant is that you feel this is 100% Megaman X.
3. This gets a lot of views and good comments.
I use X's unlimited potential as seen on OVA Day of Sigma.

When i get free of my final paper, i'm planing to start working on doing an HD 1080p version of this (puting new sprites and effects in the same position of the sprites used in the vid).
At last im expecting to start this on 2021 january 3th / end this version till 4 out 2021.
X still let's his friendship shine through even in the heat of battle. As amazing in 2020 as it was all those years ago.

@@mr_lemon9349 X misses the shot on purpose because in the end when he has a clear shot to Zero's head, he regrets it, his friendship towards Zero is stronger. Some people will say that Zero pushes up the X-Buster, but it's false, you can't ignore all the Lore of the games and X's background has a character, X is more human, that's because he hesitate all the time when he fights Mavericks and it's the same against Zero, X can destroy him but he didn't want to, plus Zero being his best friend.
If people pay attention to the Lore and the background then it is obvious than X hesitate when he knew he is about to kill his friend, the author of the video gives you the answer too through the images and the dialogue in the background, those are there for a reason, but some people (Zero fanboys) prefer to ignore it, specially the dialogue between Sigma and X, the same with the images that reminds you of the strong friendship between X and Zero, how when X can obtain the victory by killing his unconscious friend, he prefers to miss the shot.
I love both characters and how they contrast each other, my opinion it's based on my knowledge of the games and the characters, so I can say X in a serious battle with no morals, will defeat Zero anytime, but X is like Superman, he will keep holding back, specially against his best friend.

Still watching this again in 2022. This video truly captures how epic that fight was supposed to be. The part at the end when X catches the wheel attack with his hand is still the ultimate highlight.
Fun fact: That's actually X using his Variable Weapons System to copy Awakened Zero's charged shot, as you can see X firing that same shot at Zero a few seconds later!

@@mychannelisdiedbyyoutube9632 Both. X uses the Blade Armor and Shadow Armor in this fight when he only obtained them in X6. This fight happens in X5, meaning X couldn't possibly have those armors yet.
He even uses Special Weapons from X6, like Commander Yammark's dragonflies and the charged version of Metal Shark Player's weapon.

The way this captures everything about X and Zero down to them giving it their all till the very end to X showing mercy on his friend when he clearly had the battle won (because who are we kidding? X could never kill his friend if given a choice in the matter) is just awesome.
Especially when X and Zero just abandon all notion of defense and X goes into unlimited potential and begins to fight with his bare fucking hands? Even Zero wouldn’t have expected X to draw himself into melee where Zero excels and take it to him.
These two are, without question, the ultimate duo both in friendship and rivalry and anyone who knows their story completely knows what next level kind of hell this fight put X through. A fight he had to fight but never wanted to fight and a choice he had to make he never wanted to make
Zero is my favorite character but in terms of character development I respect the writer on how he made these two so relatable.

That One Gai Actually X didn’t win. Because remember in the aftermath the fight they’re both down and they’re both badly damaged. So the fight was a draw technically.

That One Gai Where is the proof in that? They were equally matched. Zero could have killed him too. So X didn’t really have an advantage.
John Reeves the proof is in the final scene. X had Zero dead to rights but instead he shot up instead of wasting Zero. He couldn’t because that’s his friend, he could never do that. Yes the fight was close but if he hadn’t shot up Zero wouldn’t have cut his arm off and the fight wouldn’t have ended the way it did.
The reason why it ended in a lethal draw is because that’s literally the only way this fight could end for the both of them realistically speaking. X could never bring himself to kill his friend but has to to free him. Zero only wants to kill him because he’s been taken over by the virus but he’d never do so willingly.
5:45 X reached peak performance, by fighting to death with his best friend he evolved into the ultimate warrior, his only flaw was his compassion

This is honestly a video that started off slow, but god damn, by the end of it, it’d ramped up enough that it felt timeless, like it wasn’t made in 2010, but instead was something recent. I especially loved the way you had X using his X Finger (the attack that scarred Sigma), as barely anyone has him use that attack.
Overall, this is amazing.

Notice how X could have killed Zero in 6:03 with a direct shot at the head but at the last second he hold it back.
It really gives out that at the end X is holding back against Zero despite how X himself despises mavericks and told Zero to kill him if he were ever to turn into one.
Even 7 years have passed, but in 2018 this still being the best X vs Zero animation ever made.

Nick Name yes you can, by exploiting Heatnix saber attack and Scharavich rock mid air or by using jumper and hyper dash parts you can skip that gap in Gate 2, also in Gate 1 you can use Wolfang ice to create a mini platform to jump the wall of spikes using the jumper part

Really, in my opinion, Zero is stronger than X in battle because of this: Zero doesn't throw away his shots. X does. X may have more potential but he wastes it by being this merciful fighter.

Seriously this whole thing still makes me geek out after all these years. The end part even changed my idea of how the whole variable "X" concept that the series likes to repeatedly show us works. Of course, "X is a variable representing limitless potential because X could be anything" we all know that but i never realized that one of those things that X can be is... Zero! X can also represent the number 0! Its so simple, how did i never think of it? The video captures that perfectly after X absorbs and returns Shingetsurin (Awakened Zero's charged shot -seriously thats the official name, how badass!). His fighting style even switches to include more close ranged combat with his "Shining Finger" and more Z-Saber attacks. The ending is more poignant when, even though he can become more like Zero in combat, he can only ever truly be X, true to his feelings and hesitating to shoot his best friend at a crucial moment.
Friggin incredible video. I'll still be watching this when i'm old and senile.

Anyone noticed how X and Zero are the oposite in every way? Let me explain:
Zero has a "Spiky" body while X's is kinda "round".
Their colors are the opposite as well.
Zero is good with the saber and bad with the buster while X is good with the buster and bad with the saber.
Zero has no potential, he's always at his top power, while X's limitless potential grants him the posibility to become as strong as he wants as he fights.
Zero doesnt hesitate to kill something, while X does. (In this video is clear how X was about to shot Zero's head clean off, but he ended up shooting upwards because he didnt want to, however he killed hin anyways, with both ending up dead)
X was made by Light and Zero by Willy with totally different purposes.
It's just genious how they made this chatacters.
Don't also forget that X is the reason why there are reploids in the first place. His discovery from Dr. Cain is the reason they multiplied, and Zero's Zero virus is what causes the massive nosedive of reploid losses in X5.
X helped the creation of the reploids. The infinite number to multiply
while Zero causes the destruction of them. The lowest number of them all.

2021... OH MY GOD! All these years, and it still gives me goosebumps! While I can now see the age of the animation, I think it's still very high quality, and portrays the point of the game's story incredibly well! This one's still among my faves! One more for the road?

6 years later and still this is one of the best sprite animations I've seen. Love how it all picks up and you don't show your awesome spritemanships right off the bat. First minute is like "Oh, just run of mill sprite anim" then it goes "Oh, that's creative use of the sprites" and then "Holy shit, dat's some awesome shit", "Look at dem mastercrafted custom sprites!"

While I haven't heard much about their status lately (A few years ago, I read that they were almost out of money, but that could have changed by now), that's neither a good or bad thing. It's good, because it means they are still around. It's bad because they haven't done anything really note worthy that people liked.
... I still wonder WTF happened between Inafune and Capcom, though. It all really began with that debacle, and since then, about three Megaman games were cancelled (one being a pretty cool looking reimagining of the X series), RE6 being trash (from what I've heard, at any rate), DmC: DMC (although I think the game would have done much better if it had a different title, but that's opening a new can of worms), etc.

+Commander Convoy Technically speaking, it already is, it's just that the sprites are seriously enlarged (or he just zoomed in really far) so X and Zero themselves look... poor quality but if you look at some of their attack and the ride armours, not to mention the moon, they actually look pretty good.

5:45 a 5:55 Iniciando 2020 y esa parte, esa parte aun me hace sentir muchas cosas, la mejor escena del mundo, el background de "soy la esperanza de todos" con imágenes de los caidos por las guerras mavericks, esa parte musical que hasta siento que llora por ver como X y Zero intentan matarse, el Doc Light al fondo haciendo referencia al legado que le dejo a X, X cansado y sin armadura mostrando su verdadero poder contra su amigo.

It's been so long since I watched this and this still feels so damn epic. The music and animation near the end made tears fall. Damn these ninjas cutting onions.
If you also look at 06:03 x was charging his buster but he refused to kill his friend so he shot up, and also if you look at zero he did not want to Hurt x but in a moment of despair he cut off x's arm. Meaning that x didn't want to kill zero neither zero wanted to kill x because they're friend's

This video is 6 years old, and is to this day, still my favorite animation. I've done an animation but it's still nothing compared to yours. 101/10 Would watch forever!
