Yeah because Zero was originally intended to be the top reploid of destruction, but even then wily can't defeat his own past, I heard here ans there that wily wanted to create robots to be heroes at first. So even his wicked desires couldn't beat the true wish and dream he had even after evil corrupted him. In a way, Zero accomplished his creator's forgotten and deep intentions and fought against his ultimate corrupted creation and the destiny he wanted for Zero.

One example of a similar situation I can point to is Captain Ginyu from DBZ when he succeeds in stealing Goku's body but couldn't figure out how to use Goku's powers. However, Ginyu could still use his body-stealing technique, and Goku used that against Ginyu to turn Ginyu into a frog.

I think that sprite animation is immortal in the eyes of Mega Man fans, and your mash-up was a really cool remix for it overall. Beautiful stuff. When we think Zero, we think of the man who embodies his virtues, not that empty shell.

From what I remember some early early concepts of Omega did show him having a body that was more like X's Zero. It's hard to make out but I think even when you see his silhouette stepping out of one of the old concepts for the Omega shell (his outer body looked more like a coffin there) you can vaguely see that his arm looks more like a cannon instead of holding a gun like Zero's Zero does and his legs are a lot more thick and blocky looking.

I wish there were more games, movies, shows, etc. with similar ideas to Omega Zero. Like, the “powerful clone of yourself” type character, but the protagonist is the clone and the one they fight is the original. The only game series I can think of with a similar idea is Metal Gear with the Snakes.
TV Tropes calls it the "Morally Superior Copy" and it's more common than you may think. One of the biggest and most common examples I've seen is taking Adolf Hitler and making a clone free from all the sin of the original. I've also seen one with Pablo Escobar.
I am only just now seeing this, and this is honestly the single best remix of this theme I have ever heard. Reminds me of the chills I got first time playing this fight, and of course you paired it with the best part of ultimatemaverickx's animation too. Outstanding work.
