Hey man, I'm seeing this video a little late, but at 8:13 minutes in on this video, that was me and my older brother, so just thought it was cool seeing this now. You were really cool and kind to us when we met you, hope your doing well
Defiantly try leadville mx. I know its a bit of a drive but totally worth it. Also try two rivers in Milliken they're open Sundays only though fyi. Best track in the state is sweeny cycle park and they are only open a few weekends out of the year. They usually post on their instagram when they will have a ride day.
Awesome! I really enjoyed the video a lot! That triple jump sent me to the ER one time! I ride an '03 RM 125, and one day I got a little too confident on it and decided to go for that triple. I got good distance but didn't quite get the height, so I ended up landing on the upside of the triple landing and cased it hard. Thankfully, I didn't fall off the bike, but the impact folded my legs and slammed me down onto the bike. As a result, I ended up with Vertebral Compression Fractures! I've definitely learned my lesson now. Haha, I don't have the technique to get enough out of the 125 to clear that triple.
This was cool. I just started on dirt last year so learning it compared to street is so different. This track looks like one I could grow into a bit. Appreciate your explanation of technique here.
Hey welcome to the dirt bike life, lots of fun and definitely some risk but arguably "safer" than the road! Haha. IMI is a fun track and the fact that they're open 7 days a week is a great perk. See you out there!
they tamed the landing down on that triple a lot since i've been. it used to be a lot taller and probably 3 bike lengths long so it had major consequence if you came up short or oj'd
I’ve been terrified of the same triple you were talking about at imi. I’ve seen a few people f-up big on it and it’s scared me enough to not even attempt it.
For the most part, yes, however the weather is pretty sporadic around here so it's hard to plan ride days in advance. Thankfully, snow typically melts in a few days after falling and then it's just a matter of how active the tracks are in clearing the sludge and grooming.
Thanks for the input...I've ridden Milliken, it was fun, I definitely need to go back! As for Brush, my plan is to try and do the RMRA race out there in May. I'll look into the others too.
Hmm...your ability to clear that jump will really be contingent on how much speed you can carry around the corner. If the corner is well-formed, I'd imagine you can hit the jump in 3rd, but you'll need to be on the gas hard to get over it. Would be great if you could grab 4th, but im not sure if the 125 would pull it.
Well bro I hit the triple in 5th pinned on my 250f. I game around the corner in 4th and shifted into 5th because if I hit it in 4th pinned I’d still come up short
@@tannerantles5317 the one in the middle of the track. I feel like I could hit it in 4th but the track was crazy dry so there was no traction going into or coming out of the corner. If it would’ve been better I probably could’ve carried more speed around the corner and hit it in fourth.
Hey there - Depends on the bike you're riding, but on my 450 I'm in 4th gear for the triple in the middle of the track and 3rd gear for the one that's more of a triple step up
@@tannerantles5317 I have a 450 also, I've now hit the middle in 4th. thanks for the input. Are you seat bouncing the triple step up or are you standing?
@@Zackdean86 Awesome man, glad to hear it! For the other triple, I stand up on the approach. I do this because the approach can get kind of rough and also because seat bouncing could launch you a little too high and also compress too much on the launch (which could be sketchy). As long as you're on the gas in 3rd you should be good to go!

Thanks dude, you guys were great! Let's ride again soon...maybe hit IMI or Thunder Valley on a Saturday!

Whoa thanks for sharing...thats wild and I'm sorry to hear that happened to you! Definitely a big pull on the ol 125 haha
Dude, same here. I'm on a '00 RM 125. I can double that thing all day and wouldn't dream of getting over that triple on the 125. Hope all is well!
Love this imi track!!!

Hey there, that's super understandable. I can imagine that jump with a peaky landing and I'm not sure how I'd feel about it lol
It was so much better before the tamed it down
awesome video!
Thanks!
Sick going riding on a work day 🤣 epic. In Australia we call it having a sickie paid day off when you call in sick but you're not.

I did a race there recently and the first lap we were hitting it like 3 bikes - wide and I think I held my breath for like a minute straight haha
Can you ride year round in Denver? I might be moving there in the future

You need to check out Watkins, Aztec, Brush, and Milliken in 2023.

I never touch 4th on the track. 3rd on my 450 never gets rapped out.
What gear do you think I need to clear the big triple step over I am on a 2022 ktm 125sx

@@tannerantles5317 he could easily clear that triple with the 125. I’ve seen kids clear it on a 65 😂
