I’m heading to mammoth this week. I always get confused where I’m going when I know where I want to go. This was a great tour of where and how to go. Thank you so much!
Thanks for this! I hadn’t been to Mammoth in the summer in a while, and this was super helpful. Twilight and Boomerang/Shotgun were my favorites, and I might not have found everything without this video.
I was just in mammoth and this is a great review. You make some of the features look easy, some less experienced riders might have more difficulty riding. Go Pro does do any justice to some of the drops and features. Overall excellent review of the mountain and runs.
So I recommended this to Sam pilgrim, and ideally you should segment it on difficulty. So all green (downtown), blue, black, double, and pro. I like how you give direction on how to get to the trail head.
Awesome review. Very thorough and descriptive. We are usually up there skiing but my boys and I are looking forward to our first time at the bike park next week.
Thanks man, I totally agree. As far as double blacks go it's quite tame. I think they do that just to scare some people away and keep the traffic down. So stoked that you enjoyed it!
Tanner this was actually awesome. I like to add commentary in my vids as well. I think it helps describe the trails, the area, I speak to the lifts, the parking, food, the hours of operation etc. I didn't start doing this until I saw people within the comments were asking about all these things. I just got back from Telluride and have only released 1 of 6 vids from tat trip. I took the entire month of Sept off from work where mid month I'll be at Mammoth cutting vid. I you're in the are around the 15th I could use a guide, collaborate on vids.
Thanks for the positive feedback, much appreciated. I'm glad to hear that you're also filming these sorts of videos because they're helpful for me as well! Unfortunately I don't think I'll be back at Mammoth until the 29th of August, but always looking to meet new people in the community and do some collabs!
Obviously the DH is going to be golden for some of the rougher trails like Velocity, and some of the Pro Lines, but i actually prefer my enduro bike at Mammoth. Especially for some of the traverses. I ride a 29in YT Capra. It still handles the gnarlier stuff just fine.
@@tannerantles5317 I'll have three bikes with me as I've got multiple parks/areas to ride during that 30 days. I'll keep the Firebird handy when I arrive at Mammoth. I subscribed and will be watching. Don't hesitate to provide any input on my vids, I'm always looking for new content & fresh ideas. TTL
+1 for more content of pro lines! I am there next week - you mentioned that chair 2 is running? I haven’t seen it up on their lift status page. Do you know if it’s just weekends?
Awesome, ill be back at the end of August to film all the pro lines (or die trying haha)! You're gonna have a great time! To answer your question, I believe chair 2 is only running on the weekends.
Hi Tanner...thanks for doing this. Headed up to Mammoth end of August. Which of the black diamond trails would you say are closer to intermediate than to double diamonds. And I'm assuming a full face helmet is highly recommended?
Hey there, you're very welcome! Boomerang is a fun diamond trail, and same thing with White Bark. You can truly roll all of the features while maintaining a bit of a challenge. Shotgun is definitely a true diamond trail though and is tougher than the others. If you have a full face helmet, I'd recommend it...better safe than sorry!
Thanks! Yes, E-Bikes are allowed on all of the mountain trails. They even have a new trail that's sponsored by Boesch that was built specifically for E-bikes!
Great video and narrations. Thanks and be safe out there!

Super helpful! I appreciate your honesty about the trails and your riding experience on them!
My pleasure, thanks for the kind words!
Great vid.....thanks for posting. Love the commentary. Going there next week!
Thanks! Have an awesome time on the trails, can't wait to get back up there myself!

Dude I didn't know you have a channel - nice edit I'm hitting Mammoth this weekend!
Right on Jesse! Let me know how it is...we need to ride together sometime 🤘

Thank you! Y'all are going to love it. Ski season is always incredible but Mammoth and the surrounding area sure are awesome in the summer!
Great analysis! This is super helpful
Looks incredible
It truly is! This season got cut unfortunately short with all of wildfires, so they already started to do some work to make the park even better!
pipeline is a double black but does not seem like it I did it and I love it reall great vid!

Pipeline is like a green and one of my favorite trails
It’s a double black but it feels like a green

I hit smooth operator on opening weekend and that 40
Foot step down I went for it and landed on the knuckle and broke my foot on impact
Oh crap dude, thats awful! Ya...i really don't think the gopro does it justice!
Tanner Antles it definitely doesn’t. That jump is HUGE
if you like riding in cat litter...Mammoth is for you.
