This show is so great. The actors are awesome and the writing is awesome. There are a few cameos and guests on the show that are throw backs from classic Sci Fi shows, which makes it fun.

If anyone ever deserve an acting award it is Alan Tudyk for Resident Alien. No one else I can think of could have pulled off his role. Can't wait for more.
Well, let's be frank: he's a barely-convincing human. I say this as a giant fan; he has this weird kind of energy that's more at home in an extraterrestrial out of water than a human being a human.

I love the part where he goes to the kids room and tells him he's gonna kill him. Then he hides under the bed and the parents won't believe Max he's there.. Harry's looking from underneath giving him the finger. That had me laughing really hard.
Found this show tonight, totally by accident, and I’m already hooked. It’s Monk, Twin Peaks, and V, rolled up in one. Man, I laughed so hard, that I was literally on the floor w tears🤣🤣; no joke. The writing, acting and production, are absolutely fantastic. This is a must get on Blue Ray; can’t wait.
It northern exposure except the protagonist is actually likeable. So many copied details, the deer, native receptionist, doctor who thinks he's smarter than everyone and more. I tried watching NE last year and it was intolerable, he's arrogant and condescending through. Major improvement.

I convinced my wife to watch this show with me and we are both so hooked now. Alan Trudyk is astonishing in this and the entire cast is great. The interactions between everyone are so real and funny. I am getting this on Blu-Ray when it hits and I have recommended it to all of my friends. Must watch TV in a time when there are no must watch TV shows left. Please don't cancel this show or my wife will come to SYFY and murder someone. Really. True story. Straight up murder.
My family loved this show. Tudyk is a genius. He brings everything he does to life and is just so astonishingly believable. His inability to assimilate makes Harry (alien) the ultimate human, especially when the one thing he gets right is his frustration and swearing, while Harry (corpse) provides more insight into the human condition than most living people. The combination of a great cast, mystery, trying to fit in, maladjusted people, humor, existential crisis and unsettling yet hilarious situations makes this a worthy replacement for what we lost in Firefly. Move of K2-SO, your new incarnation can dance like everybody is watching and he still doesn't care. If Harry (alien) had money he could fire a Tesla into space.
This show is perhaps the best show in a decade. The sheriff freaking rocks, Alan Tudyk's performance is perfect and of course Ms Twelvetrees is so damn hot it makes me tremor.
That’s the thing. To fans of Alan, he is a star. Yet, I didn’t really know his name when I saw his face during the Pilot. I thought, "Oh, the pirate guy from the Dodgeball movie has his own show now.” This could be his breakout role. I looked him up and didn’t realize he’s the guy behind so many voices. Moana, Star Wars, and I am thinking who is this guy?!? Haha. So, if there are more people out there like myself that are now more familiar with Alan Tudyk, then yes, indeed, this could be the show to help his name recognition at the least. Maybe not quite what BBC’s Sherlock did for Benedict Cumberbatch, but this show clearly has potential, and people are responding positively to it!

Alan was born to this roll. What I also like is character development, they are not one dimensional. Harry struggling with his original mission & then finding his humanity, much to his dismay, is hysterical as he struggles to find his place.

I’d been DVRing this show from its start and I just binged watched it last Sunday, it was amazing. I’m not big on comedy shows but this one is a keeper, my favorite episode, which honestly they all are but the 1st bar scene of Harry getting wasted and finding his groove dancing was the best and then the 2nd bar scene when the newest doctor came to town was hilarious, Harry being jealous was priceless. This show is so entertaining and I’ve been telling my family and friends to watch bc we all love things alien related, we watch Ancient Aliens and other various alien Bigfoot strange evidence shows etc bc I and my brothers believe in other life forms for sure. Can’t wait for more episodes and seasons to come♥️
