Great review, we have a SUP so this a site which would definitely be interested in and a couple of dogs, so one to add to the list.

Thanks! A SUP would be great on this stretch of the River Loue. Thanks for watching and getting in touch. Cheers JT

Thank you JT. Question, are dogs allowed on the site and if so are they allowed in the river? Cheers.

Hi, yes dogs were allowed on the site and there did not appear to be any restrictions for them going in to the river. Thanks for watching, cheers JT

Hi JT i am considering whether i should buy a drive away awning, or just get a tent to pitch next to my camper. So can i ask you how did you decide many thanks Dave.

Hi Dave, thanks for watching and getting in touch. We purchased and tried a drive away awning when we had our previous VW transporter Camper conversion. But, we couldn’t get on with it. We found that you had to be perfectly aligned for it to link up with the van. It was too much of a phaff for us so we sold it after a short while and bought a tent. This is the set up we currently use and as a family camping, works well for us. Everyone is different and part of the fun is tweaking your setup!
There are a couple of videos on the channel with our set up in More detail, check them out for some ideas. Cheers JT

We have always camped huttopia but never been east. Campsite seems similar to beaulieu. Just worry its very remote.

We have always camped Huttopia, but not done the West coast …yet …! We have used La Plage Blanche on several occasions as a stop off to or from the Alps. Every time we have enjoyed our stay, longest has been 4 nights. It is quite rural, but the towns of Dijon, Beaune, Dole and Arbois are all worth a visit. If you like cycling, there are many nice quiet and safe roads for families to explore, and of course the river right by the campsite for kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming. Switzerland is also only about 90 mins away by car over the Jura mountains. The campsite has a charm to it that we really like, but we probably wouldn’t spend 2 weeks there. Thanks for watching and getting in touch ! Cheers JT

On your review of this campsite we came here. I can't understand why this is one of your favourites this place is an absolute dive. The toilet/shower blocks are filthy have block twice whilst being here this week and are filthy and never have loo roll. The pool area is covered in moss which then gets into the pool and stinks off wee. Most of the toilets don't have a loo seat. Only two disabled toilets and one doesn't have a ramp, the shower is hanging on the floor with no holder. The site is filthy pot holes everywhere my husband is registered blind and couldn't get around without help. Wasted a ton of money to stay here camping what a waste and ended up being the worst campsite we have ever stayed at. Don't bother coming here it's not worth it

I am really to sorry to hear this. We have stayed here on 3 occasions, each time had a great experience. Our overall experience of Huttopia sites is excellent which is why we keep going back. Some times French toilets do without a seat, not unusual, but a bit different to what we are used to in the UK. Also sorry to hear that the disabled facilities were compromised. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience for others to read. JT

@@CampervanJourney thanks for the reply. Yeah we can live without a toilet seat but a pool stinking of wee around it and how unclean it is was a real disappointment. If we could swim in the lake the pool wouldn't have been much of a problem but they have blue green algae at the mo so not allowed
