    Today we revisit our best finds and set the mood for relaxation! To help that along, we have included a longer than ever jewellery making section and an extended section where we stop talking, we turn the music off and let the ocean be heard in all its beauty!
    Please let us know what you think of these changes in comments... we will adjust the Sunday videos over the next week or two, until we are sure things are where they belong.
    We hope you enjoyed today's video... Thank you so much!

    The crafting sections are always inspiring viewing for us. Great idea to calve them off to a separate vid, or channel, so they don't have to be edited down to fit your usual timeframes. We think they deserve a bit more air. And the sights and sounds of the beach section was awesome. So relaxing. Maybe a 5-7 min stand alone vid of that on a regular basis would be well appreciated by your viewers. Things like that are especially valuable in these tough times....Great work guys, keep filming and posting, we love it.

    I really love this video!
    The jewellery that Nicole makes (never knew it takes 10 minutes to drill a pebble) is gorgeous! 😍 It amazes me every time what you make with your finds!
    And the sound of the sea is never boring! So the long "beach time" on this video is a real plus.
    I found it quite astonishing that it was so quiet on the beach. Only the sound of the sea, no screaming seagulls. Here in the Netherlands, you can hear them all the time when you're at the sea.
    Thank you for this second video, hope it's a keeper. 😉

      Many thanks!
      No, that's not at all harsh - well intentioned cretinism is a great thing and it is most welcome. The weight of comments have been very positive about that section, so, we plan on keeping a section like that in those Sunday videos. We created that section in response to many requests over the months.
      We will certainly continue to cover craft and jewellery making, though we have seldom really done tutorials, though we might have a closer look at tools and such.
      Thank you so much, best wishes, Nicole & Craig xo

    Do you wear a mask while drilling the hole. Or is the water enough to keep you protected?

      We use a rotary tool, fitted with a multi-chuck, and, a dimond tipped drill bit. We cover all the details in the video linked! :D Thank you so much, best wishes, Nicole & Craig xo

    Is your bails that you use in rock to run thr necklace threw real silver or silver plated I have heard silver can be to soft to hold heavy things like rocks

    • @scottishmudlarking
      @scottishmudlarking  3 роки тому

      Thanks so much Rose! The bails are sterling silver. Silver on its own is indeed a very soft material, sterling silver is an alloy with added materials ( its 92.5% silver) so it’s harder. I drilled the pebbles so they are attached just like sea glass or pottery and they weigh about the same 😃
