Love Adam Rupp & his insane talent. He is the best out there in my opinion. He simulates the sounds of a drum perfectly. Many drummers have commented on how good he is. He sounds so realistic. His breath control must be crazy. I heard he makes the sounds both while inhaling & exhaling. This was a few years ago & hard to believe but he is even better now. Adam is the glue that holds Home Free together. He is their secret weapon which other a cappella groups can't match.
The vocal range he needs in order to emulate all those instruments is often unrecognized, too.
Every so often you'll hear what sounds like a gasp for air. I always took it to be an inhale while still sounding drum beats. This guy is the master!

They recently dropped a cover the Doobie Brothers first hit single Listen to the Music. And a few years back the covered The O Jay's song Love Train. You both will love both songs.
Adam Rupp is just incredible. Got to see Home Free live last October. Great time. Best wishes to you both.

My wife and I saw Home Free in concert about 2 months ago in Grand Rapids, MI. It was INcredible, as I knew it would be. Thry have many great tunes on UA-cam. Truly something for everyone. Shawn & Mel, I hope you will explore them further. I really enjoyed seeing you hear it for the first time!

The incredible talent and skills of Adam Rupp will forever put me in a state of awe, but the same goes for all of his brothers in Home Free. They all amaze me with what they do, how they constantly evolve and who they are as human beings. This was in April 7 years ago and Adam has not rested on what he knew then, he's constantly blowing us away with his ever expanding tool box of sounds most of us never believed a human could make.

I saw Home Free in concert a week ago today. I sat in the 2nd row and spent half the show with my mouth hanging open in shock. Video doesn’t do them justice. Adam Rupp is seriously a freak of nature and I swear he barely takes breaths.
Awesome reaction...speechless...that's what I like to see...there are just no words as to how great he is! He does this routine at every show! I've seen it live and its absolutely amazing! This is an older video and he has gotten even better...there are many newer videos of him on YT that you could check out to see how he's improved!

Home Free is outstanding. Everyone, including Adam, has a beautiful unique voice. However , Adam is usually too busy beat boxing to sing except for Home Free 's more serious music. One song that shows Austin sharing Adam's beat boxing for a brief period is "Children,Go Where I Send Thee" with Kenny Rodgers. Kenny Rodgers thought highly of them. Diana Ross is also a fan. She had them to perform for her seventy fifth birthday. Evidently she watches them on YT.

That was Adam Rupp, the beatboxer for Home Free. That’s why we say you don’t miss instruments when you watch Home Free because Adam can do most anything. He’s amazing and the other guys can beatbox to a degree too. They’re wonderful. He uses a looper now live which is so cool and probably saves his voice but I love this version. Good reaction!🥰

When my family went to see HOME FREE in 2019, Tim talked about the skeptics in the audience and then told everyone to ask the front row, which my family was in, cause we've all been showered. LoL

For the record, he is a trumpet player. Adam Rupp taught himself to play the drums AFTER he learned to beatbox.
Part of the reason he makes it sound so realistic is he really plays the drums

1st Home Free concert I went to, 2016, my jaw was on the floor the whole time, in amazement at his performance. I still don’t understand how he breathes, he’s going so fast. I know it’s that some beats are make while inhaling, but it still is a mystery to me.

I wish he would have done his harmonica as well, like he did in Man of Constant Sorrows. That's one of the best instruments he does!

It helps that he actually can really play drums as well so he knows the sounds but also the music theory behind the beats he puts in for the acapella backing for the songs.

Adam is a phenomenal beatboxer and actually didn't want to, but his brother Chris was persistent so he could form the a capella group Home Free & as they say, the rest is history. I just found Home Free on You Tube a few weeks ago & I am seriously addicted to them. Everyone in the group is unbelievably talented and seem like super nice, fun loving guys. Adam is the beat boxer extraordinaire and also sings, Austin does high tenor and is the flirt of the group, Rob is tenor with an amazing voice and is the teddy bear of the group, Chance can sing baritone and bass and seems to be the shy, quiet one, Tim (my heart just fluttered) sings bass and has been known to blow speakers with his deep notes. but can also sing really high, too. He is a sexy beast that has a great sense of humor. They have lots of great music and you can't go wrong reacting to any of it. Love them!

In college he majored in music, playing the trumpet, so he’s pretty good at circular breathing.
Adam Rupp is the worlds best beatboxer. He is a human drum kit. This is why Home Free always sounds like they have instruments but they are all him.
