First off... Thank you! My husband is a veteran and has difficulty going out in public. He's asked me to learn how to fade his hair and your videos are really thorough! I'm getting better and better! ❤
I worked as an amateur hairdresser for about 20 years. I opened my own business a few days ago. I watched many instructional videos. But you explained it very simply and professionally and thank you. I went and bought your udemy training set. Thank you very much. ❤️ I hope to shave you one day.
Okay I am cutting hair at home because I have three boys and my husband! Now I am in loooove with your videos! I started cutting at home because well, we are on a budget! Thank you so much for these videos so I can make it easier on my family!
I just cut my husband’s hair and I really am excited to keep cutting the families hair! It was a lot of fun and it looks good except I messed the crown up I didn’t pulI back enough but it looks fine. I do need help with a high and tight still and not brave enough to try that one.
Thank you so much for your videos I have 2 autistic sons and they won't go to a barber and I started doing their hair myself I learn so much from you i appreciate it very much
I'm happy to know the videos help. The more you do it the better you will get and hopefully the boys will eventually become comfortable enough to go to the barber
Fantastic cut. I'm going to try it on my partner now. He wants something edgy and sharp I believe I can nail it. Thanks to your tutorial I'm going for it with some confidence in my approach, surely my partner will notice and appreciate. You did an excellent job describing each step. And Owen such an angel model! Thank You both ~Sunny
I'm a hairdresser who graduated 2020 after missing our last 6 months of training and being rushed through final exams.... now I'm trying to teach myself 😂❤ x thank you for these videos ! ❤🎉
(cosmetology grad. & self-taught, at-home barber here..) I rarely see barbers with next level sheer skills & technique but…Bravo! 👏 Love to see it & learn something new. Thank you, sir. 🫡
I graduated in 2020 and it is so interesting how many ways there are to fade. I have been in three shops and through out school everyone had a different way to do it. I would say to someone new that fading is a feeling you have to develop yourself with your technique. I is just knowing your clipper and the guards and how much each one is gonna take off. You just have to feel it out through trial and error and find something that works for you.
I'm coming up on a whole year being at great clips and THANKS to your videos , you have helped me so much!!! I graduated 12 years ago from cosmo school and did a huge career change and here I am a year later! Your videos have made it so easy for me to understand and not too mention I love your accent!! Haha thank you Sir!!
Great video! I have watched a handful of videos on similar content and yours is by far the best, explanation as well as cut style. I'm just learning to save money on my 10yo son's haircuts- they've been costing us $40USD each time and he needs them every 2 weeks to not look sloppy. 🤑 I appreciate you taking the time to explain your tools so that I can compare what I have and adjust if needed.
I graduated from barbering school in 2022. I work at a shop called sport clips! And I can honestly say I’ve evolved, but I learned something new everyday.
Just want to say that I’m a big fan of your video’s and they are very helpful. I have yet to start my course as the next course doesn’t start till September. However, I am learning a lot already from yourself.
Great to hear! I would love to hear how you get on with your course as you progress, feel free to drop me a message on instagram and I will follow you back
You're cuts are fantastic! I'm halfway thru school for hairdressing but I feel like clipper cuts are where I'm least comfortable still! I really enjoy giving a nice razor cut, maybe you could do a video on a razor cut? They seem to be gaining popularity with men and women alike....
I am new to barbering. Do you have any videos on cutting thinning hair (@ top), with a whirl @ the crown area. If you do, would you mind directing me to the specific video? I struggle with seeing the guide with fine thinning hair. With regard to the whorl, I understand that I need to leave it a bit longer so it does not stand up. I would like to see how I can execute this. Hope you read my comment and thank you for the informative material. I love them and look forward to future postings. ;)
Unfortunately I don’t have any videos on thinning hair. I get asked this a lot but have never made one as it means asking someone to let me cut their thinning hair as an example for UA-cam. A lot of men are self conscious about this subject so I just veré away from it. It might be worth checking out the @regalgentleman channel as I’m sure he has managed to get a couple of videos out on thinning hair. Re the crown area. I have a video coming out hopefully this week where I will show how to cut the crown area. Tune in for it as I think it’s the cutting technique that would suit your needs.
I just finished my barbering program and still love learning your techniques. Currently in the process of getting my license 🪪. Love that your videos are very straight to the point 👌
Hi, I enjoyed this video. I’m a hairstylist of 39 years. However I struggle with fades that are lower than a #2 guard. I can’t seem to get that nice arched look below the peripheral edge. Thank you!
Hi Michael, Thanks for the videos. Since you'd been asking: I would love if you could do a video showing how to thinning out the sides of the head with the thinning scissors - especially if I want to keep a certain length at the upper sides but like to have it flat(ter). Cheers!
Great suggestion! This is a common practice in many shops however it can be overused. You have to be careful not to go too deep in on the side with the thinning shears. If it’s too close there will be poppers in the regrowth which will either stick through the haircut or puff the rest of the hair up because they are too short to lay flat.
I’m a stylist who does basic men’s cut. My question is will there always be that weighted shadow line? I find I keep trying to blend the line until I get into trouble lol. Thank you for your work
Good question! Sometimes you will get that, but most of the time you should be able to get the line out. I have a community for learner barbers where there a lot of stylists and cosmotologists, you'd be more than welcome to join and it is free www.skool.com/one-minute-barber-academy/about

Is it better to start the cut on top from the back vs the front? I always start at the front so the client can tell me how much to cutoff
Both ways are completely fine. As long as you have a plan for covering the whole head then the start point can be wherever you want it to be.

Does the blade type matter once a guard is placed on it?? Taper vs faper blade...
No not at all. The blade type is only useful when the blade is bare.
which clipper has the best cutting power among the clippers you have?
The Tpob Goblin is the fastest and most powerful, the wahl senior comes second although deals with coarse hair better

My wife has been cutting my hair for the last five or six years or more and I heard it cost thirty five dollars to get a haircut that's outrageous.
That’s pretty standard now where I live. It would be almost impossible to run a business for less than that in my area.
At 10:40 when cutting the sides, you say "don't cut it like this if they're not going to style their hair".
So what way should you cut the sides if they aren't going to style their hair?
