    I quite like the look of these trains at the front as they have the 3 part window similar to the Class 319's but without the external door at the ends.

    Back when I used to regularly commute on that line I much preferred a networker over the horrible 376s.
    The seat on the 376 are the worst I've ever experienced.
    There's also less of them, and the "perches" are somehow even less comfortable still.
    The doors don't seal properly and rattle around a lot while the train is in motion.
    When the 700s came along everyone complained about the seats on those but clearly those complainers have never ridden a 376!
    700 seats are luxury compared to 376 seats.
    I've never ridden the 707 so I can't comment on them.
    Of course the cep, cig and vep seats were much better than anything you'll get today (in metro, at least) .

    I’ve been on Southeastern before from Victoria to Bromley South on a Blue Pole class 465 and class 377 ex-Southern and I was happy

    There were rumors that the 376's were supposed to go to Southern when the 455/8's retired which would explain why they haven't been refurbished yet. And with the arrival of the 707's and the announcement that even newer trains are due to replace the 465's and 466's, you could say that the future of these trains is uncertain.

    Hugh, out of all the TfL Three, you're definitely the 'brains' of the outfit.
    You very much remind me of my late neighbour Christopher Stone who, like yourself, was very much a Railway buff.
    Being that much older though, he was all about Steam, having several scale models in his home and, at one time, producing a club newsletter from his spare room on his old Amstrad CPC-464.
    His other absolute passion was Coal Mines and Mining, and even took myself and family to Wales on holiday one year.
    The way you speak, and some of your mannerisms remind me of him a lot, and it's nice for me that the memory of him lives on.
    I think if he was still around, and you'd ever met, you'd have got on like a house on fire. 😃

      I have noticed how well done Hugh's videos for the three are, even if they might need an occasional correction or two!

      @@thetflthree the blue pole class 465 does stoppable journeys and can do massive journeys but the thing is that orange pole class 465 does ultimate journeys and do longer range services and also they go more further alongside the class 375/377 and 395 trains

    Honestly I enjoyed my runs on the 376s last October whilst they were short hops between Cannon Street and London Bridge I must say I like them and would like to see them on TSC as we now have a route that covers most of the SE Network on the workshop

    I have been on the Class 376 and I should think that Southeastern should refurbish them with a new blue livery identical to the Class 375, Class 377/5 and Class 707.

    The 376 has better acceleration and braking than the 375/377, but a slower top speed. They are also maintained at Ramsgate & have to be taken there from the London depots

    Great vid Hugh! I can't stand the 376s for some reason - just really outdated like you suggest (with their odd seats and weird window alignments in the vestibules) - but it's cool that they still retain their Connex interior... for now - and they are just different trains in a different style which we don't see anywhere else on the network. Nice little brief summary of Connex though and thanks for linking my video!!!

    I've never been on a 376 but I've seen a few on the Hayes line, but unfortunately I've only ever ridden the awful Networkers there. Even though they lack air conditioning I'm confident that they are indeed better to ride than the 465s.

      At least the seats on the Networkers are padded, and they have toilets. The 376s are *awful* imho.
