    If you were to add stretching along with weight lifting over a course of a month you'll double your vertical for sure with these workouts. Ja's bounce was crazy his senior year of high school, but what we seem to forget is he was in a d1 school. which means he had a program layed out to help him get bouncy and he does his workouts it got insane after that. love this content makes me want to work out right now.

    If we’re getting a couple of rest days we’re can forsure get a couple More inches on your vertical approach. Muscles are tight which is great for the triple extension and stretch shortening cycle but we don’t want to muscle to be to tight to where our body can’t handle it, with jumping we want our bodies to be like rubber bands Bc the harder we pull that rubber band the harder it will snap. So I would of recommend some rest and practice technique. I’m telling you it’s FAX if you just work on technique that in it’s self will help your vertical. Can push punch to right left, working on diving and pushing into pin-ultimate steps torso up right and block step, learn how to break and get use to your weight and momentum upper body see if your a hinge jumper or a knee dominate, I can talk about this all the time Bc there so much I can do to Help you, but have any questions follow my strength and conditioning page on @Webers_Workouts if your looking to add inches

  • @fubbesibiz
    @fubbesibiz 3 роки тому +8

    Banded jumping exercises and squatting will help 100% more cause your muscle and cognitive system will adapt to the resistance. It’s basically like you would jump with 30Ibs more body weight for a period of time and then losing that weight your body would need to move less mass up. Box jumps only increasing your agility/endurance

    In the pre testing dunks I could see that your jump preparations are ruining your vert. Your run up looked out of balance and near the end there was to many unnecessary and small steps taken. Once you find your perfect spot to take them two large gather steps that will increase all the power in your jump and also don’t forget to use your arms as well. Swing them like you a bird or something idk how to describe it. Just remember the build up is more important than the actual jump I promise. If you watch a pro dunker and then look at your dunks I bet you’ll see the differences as well. Keep working dawg love and respect

I asking him to build up 4 sets of 12-15 jumps with a 3 minute rest after each set. Ask your self the question, how many times do you jump in each quarter. strength training is also involved.

Ja didn't just wake up one day and start doing 800, but I'm not even talking about him either. I'm talking about casual athletes who watch this video and try to jump to the same exercise routine as a career athlete in his prime. That's like me, a guy with no boxing training, saying I'm going to do a week straight of training like Mike Tyson did in his prime. I would hurt myself and be exhausted.

    This workout is also promoted by Nelson Chan from channel Hoop and Life to increase your vertical. I researched a lot of vertical jump programs and only Nelson Chan and Ja Morant mention this workout to increase vertical leap. This type of workout goes against common sense. Because it is an endurance workout therefore should increase your endurance not your max vertical jump. However it worked for Nelson Chan also. Jordan Killigan also believes overtraining is a myth and does not hurt your progress in making higher vertical gains. The down side this type of workout may make you sprint slower.

      If you can't afford to play travel ball, especially on the shoe circuits (Nike, Adidas, Under Armour), it will be hard to be noticed. You'll probably have to be on a high school team that makes the state playoffs and your performance will have to be noteworthy. Then scouts will go back and look at the tape from the rest of the season and start to evaluate.
