There was some artwork going around years ago that showed off some preliminary ideas for season 2 Power Rangers with updated Dinozords. They ended up going with the next Sentai show and we got the Thundermegazord instead. This doesn't look exactly like the artwork, but I feel like it's a very cool evolution of that art work. Great video, as always. Happy to hear you love it.
I heard there was an issue with the shoulder if the shoulder pads weren't raised. The arm gets locked in position if you try to raise it above shoulder height, so it's important to make sure the shoulder pad is elevated. I believe that was what it was mentioning in the instructions.
I love the look of this Megazord but I'm sad they didn't include an option to remove the tail, especially since it's so expensive. I also love the quality and size on this guy but Lucky Cat's Micro Megazord has a better transformation, especially for the pterodactyl.
The locking mechanism on trex's back was actually meant to extend the body a little bit higher 15:18, and for the question of the day: 1 for the main megazord and 2 for individual zords ❤
Oh, wow. That's way bigger than I thought it would be. If I could id grab 3. One to keep as megazord, one to keep as separate zords, and one to keep new in box. Absolutely magnificent. Really need to pick one up!
Totally with you. That's how I would say a perfect modernization should look like. And now I'm curious what they would do with the other Zords and Megazords.
Not a figure I'm interested in personally (or can afford), but that does look extremely well-made. When you were showing off the guns that can go on its back, I was really impressed by the detail in finish and colours, with the bronze/gold contrasting with the silver, and it even has little (painted) blue energy lights running along the sides. They didn't skimp on details like that; really good stuff.
I'm ok with Stylized versions (but hopefully, the original versions are also available). This reminds me of the Bandai Metal Build line - stylized, awesome details, and very expensive
Yeah I think this thing looks absolutely amazing. There are plenty of other figures at various prices and levels of quality, that use the classic design, so why not have a bad ass super stylized version that is outside of the average collectors price range. Personally I have been in war with myself on whether or not to get it.
I got mine yesterday, it is the coolest and best megazord and I can’t wait for the dragonzord and I’m looking forward to dragonzord in battle mode. Love this figure as is…
Love your mecha toys review, especially high-end ones. Hopefully you will do more mecha toys review in the future😊. I remembered someone or some youtube video mentioned if you didn't lift up the shoulder armor beforehand, the arms will be stuck when you raise them too far.
This is the same price as the Sentinel, and yet it looks like something made for adults. The metallics look so good that you could convince me it's diecast. This is way out of my price range, but I'd probably display it in Megazord mode exclusively. And I think at this price point, they should have given a separate sword accessory. That way it wouldn't have big hinge right next to the hilt. And maybe a second Mastodon head that is exclusively the shield. You would have the extra Zord parts that wouldn't contribute to the transformation (which was the gimmick of the original) but I think that's worth it, especially since this isn't a kid's toy.
you can attach the sword to the clip of the tail when it’s not in use. Amazing detail. And you can also store the canons at the back of each yellow and blue zords using the special clip for that too.
I really like how this looks. I'm fine with stylisation as long as it looks cool and this, I agree, is the best Dino Megazord I've seen. This reminds me of Bandai's Metal Build line with high quality plastic, die-cast and stylised proportions of Gundams.
It has torso rotation. That body lock you’re talking about unlock it so you can raise it and it moves. The lock is right under the tail if you angle it down. You raise the little tab and then pull up on the torso.
@@AnthonysCustomsI admit mine was very tight, but I was able to get it to rotate both ways. I was afraid it was going to break, but I saw a few reviews from Japan where they were turning the torso…so I gave it a good twist lol I’d send a picture…but I guess I’m one of those crazies that has them in Dino Zord mode😂
oh my god i need this. i love this hyper anime style and its also the best looking and most ARTICULATED megazord. i hope they make more megazords. i want and need a Thunder Megazord just because i know they would make a awesome Red Dragon Thunder Zord.
I love the stylization, in fact that’s the reason I have one preordered on Amazon. I already own a SoC which I consider to be the definitive Megazord (as well as a SoC Dragonzord) so I wasn’t in the market for a new Megazord, but this is just different enough to look great on my shelf alongside them
Thanks so much for the great review! I'm a fan of stylized versions like this in general, and this guy looks amazing! The individual zords also look great, and I think I would give them some display time too. But the combined megazord definitely steals the show. :)
I love the design of this Dino Megazord figure, that should be an awesome concept a POWER RANGERS Reboot, and should keep the wing and tail, even though it is around $400.00 expensive, at least it a really cool figure, Pretty EPIC, if I might say.🤖
13:24 Anthony, come on, that's super easy to understand. Do a half circle then press the A button. The real problem is what controller you're supposed to use, SNES, arcade stick? Idk

I love the style of the figure and l9ve unique takes on Megazords that go hard into their themes. Makes me wish we can see a Shogun Megazord with a similar lean to its Japanese Castle theme.
I had the same issues as you. In fact, basically anything that involved little tabs, I either spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to work out what they're trying to tell me do or I just never worked it out, but like you, it seemed to transform anyways. Otherwise, it's a fantastic Megazord.
@@AnthonysCustoms No, I don't think so, but I think there is a tab or something I have possibly missed, as I think I saw the waist twisting in another video I watched of it. I'll have another look at mine when I get a chance though.
Interesting on the metallic rose gold and metallic pink but if I was to display this figure it would display i would swap between robot mode and animals I cause of the engineering the vehicle modes don't I don't care for to much but also I am a big fan of the stylised looks
I think it looks interesting for something like an “evil megazord” design/display though calling it stylized feels like putting it mildly as it’s more anime/kaiju inspired fan art but it is kinda cool looking. The price however is ridiculous as by comparison not too long ago the soul of chogokin megazord and Dragonzord two pack sold for cheaper than this guy is going for. If I’m being blunt while it’s supposed to be die-cast and everything it doesn’t look that high quality to me, at least not $400+ worth.
I've got a question for you Anthony and your viewers. Would you buy this Megazord, with everything the same but it's not a combiner and for half the price?
I “might” for half the price but even then I’m not sure. While I can’t truly answer for him he does say in the video that you should buy it to see it combined and that he doesn’t think it was meant to be displayed individually so I presume he’d buy it as one, non-combing piece.
This redesign is a vast improvement over the original Megazord, IMO. I never liked how the backside of the OG Megazord seemed so bare, I always thought it needed wings. I also disliked how Pink's colors completely disappeared once fully transformed & she became just an extension of Red. This new design fixes my issues with lack of wings & Pink's representation.

Nope. for an "original" MMPR fan (meaning I watched it when it aired as a 7 year old kid), I find this reimagination of the Dino Megazord design terrible. Looks like it would fit more in Devilman than MMPR. I'm good with my vintage brick of a toy.
This is what the movie version should have been
couldnt agree more, this is how you modernize something without destroying its legacy.

its a nice megazord but that price is crazy. Wish they did a non transforming megazord at a cheaper price.
Like ThreeZero does with their MDLX Transformers line. Not the same, but they also do hyper stylized figures like Flame Toys
Their non transforming transformers are still 400 plus

Comparing the transformation isn't really fair since it's an entirely different look. That is a good figure though
Shelf dive precautions, putting prone figures AKA expensive and top heavy with loose ankles on deeper and lower shelves.
Yeah, this version is too awesome! My favorite would be the OG Megazord.
Now I wish we have a Power Rangers anime-akin to the Netflix Voltron one-with this megazord as its design.
The ninja 🥷 Falcon Megazord is the greatest Megazord of all time
The pterodactyl wings look like a champagne gold 👌🏻👌🏻
