A Beautiful World I beg to differ when humans have ruined their way on the earth by Pollution and the Savagery and Rape of our home, and we have nowhere else to go
Who would dislike this video?? this is wonderful!! we all need to live from the land and the sea, more fresh, natural foods and less processed crap. No wonder most of the world is plagued with cancer!! Thank you for sharing. Cheers from sunny FL :-)
Really enjoyed that, the way of life seems quite devoid of the woes one would find in general society and provides valuable insight as to how communities can be much closer to one another. Ordered a big batch of Kelp as I watched, gonna get my chef's hat on.
guys thanks alot for these documentries helping me to cope with lockdown and learn alot of things which we should know anyway specially one common problem we chase money and jobs and carrers all life then die after watching these documentries i have learnt i can be happy with alot less just by living simple life style thanks again guys much appreciate all the work
I am crying, this feels like home to me. I am in American born and raised but Ireland is my home, this island, this sea. I don’t know why. I also love Ireland and Japanese food, and I tell people who wanna go to Dublin and eat potatoes that something doesn’t feel right.❤ The English kinda pushed Irish people to have that potato reputation ? I’m not a historian but I feel like it was a kind day because it’s time to share with the world the real Ireland again, before poverty. I’m nobody but I have a heart for Ireland. Éire í mo chroí❤ ❤ If you need a semi-professional lyrical mezzo-soprano to sing to your seaweed too let me know 😂
I would definitely love to live there I love how everyone gets along and help each other out, there is always something to do, living there is peaceful and being happy growing your own food eating very healthy and living your own good loving life there, it's like no crime nor the bullshit like in the city and hood.. Just beautiful 😊⛺✨
I read about two months ago that Arranmore island off of mainland Ireland actually is inviting people to come and live there. There are about 700 people there now. You may want to look into it, if you are serious.
It's a bit strange to hear that Ireland has no history with seaweed. Dulaman was a saving grace back when other things were scarce. Love seeing kelp and the like back in these recipes. Such beauty and flavor.
Seaweed is well known in the South East of Ireland . And you can buy at local store's . Especially seaside area's as Tramore ,Annestown, Dunmore East all in County Waterford Ireland 2/6/2020
If some people can eat kelp, I think it can be used as animal feed as well, I think pig and chicken can eat everything. Why not using kelp to feed chicken or pig, the chicken and pig then convert it to protein that human nowadays are familiar with.
Unfortunately kelp was the food of the poorest of the poor in the old days , and only now is it's potential as a renewable resource beginning to be appreciated . We need to be more open to the opportunities for new resources and need to look to the past to find the old ways that have been abandoned, to renew our economy and take advantage of what surrounds us.
There are many seaweed farms in Japan which you can learn. It's not that difficult to grow them, and they're very sustainable. The only enemy of seaweeds is the sea urchins since they're like locusts for the seaweeds, which they eat a lot of seaweed. On the bright side, you can sell that sea urchin roe to the Asian market, and they are not cheap in the market. As I've seen in this video, they used the method in which they seeded a long line of rope with kelp seed. They collect the microscopic kelp seed and grow them in a nursery with the string, so the seeds can attach themselves on the long cord. Once they're mature enough, the long cord is set to the open ocean and let it grow. Certain seasons are ideal for growing and harvest time, mostly to avoid stormy seasons since it can damage the crops. The only things needed to worry when growing them are location, water temperature, seasonal weather, and sea urchins.
I adore it in Japanese cuisine in the form of nori and it adds seafood flavor to any dish as a substitute for flesh...but with all food pros and cons come with the earthly environment at question.
Enjoyed this, but...if the guy is a carpenter, why, oh, why doesn't he make himself a taller table??? That's got to be killing his back, being so tall.
You said Rathlin was in the northwest of Northern Ireland it is actually to the East of Northern Ireland which has an Eastern Coast and Northern Coast its western side is totally landlocked with the Irish Republic.
But is it organic? And GMO free? And free ranging? And allowed to go where it wants? And not invasive? And harboring lots of tiny sea critters? And asymbiotic? And not uptaking all the oil spills?
Yes, it's free range, yes GMO free, it is attached to a rope so not free ranging 🤣, It is a native species and we take the spores from local seaweed. No oil spills here thankfully. All the best Phil .
This looks like the perfect place to live. Sharing and helping each other, what a nice community.

Stuck here in America and I'm jealous
People are dying to live in America 😄

The trick is to grow it in harsh dry, hot conditions.
I could loss a lot of weight eating with this bunch.
Mung beans? Aren't those edamame beans.........
Yes, edamame a.k.a. green soya beans
Yeah mung beans were smaller and pretty hard you cant eat them raw
definetly edamame
Different term for same beans
I was gonna say the same thing..i live in Japan before and that is called edamame
are the kelp noodle made out of raw seaweed?
Can someone invite me to come there? I want to live there huhuhu..
The main problem is that fish is Unfit for Human Consumption as humans have been using the seas as both a Larder and a Sewer.
Seaweed .I really love that.
yo i wanna live there so bad
❤
😍😍😍👍🏻
I want to learn how to grow the seaweed. We live in America in the pacific north west and we are not using this important vegetable.

An Irish Burrito.
Why are they all red?
Environment and genes do the work, same question why some are colored.
@@xinghuali2842 ohhh okay. Makes sense now.
They play holi everyday
THEY DON;T USE SALT?
ever drank a gollup of seawater? thats the saltyness of the weed since it grows in it...ergo you dont need salt
