FINALLY. SOMEONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO DO GRABS. I've been looking for demos of ACTUAL gameplay from anyone with any intelligence that could figure out the controls to get a good sense of how the game actually flows. Thank you for being that person, it looks fun.

I totally agree! I was getting sick of seeing everyone just doing flat spins. I wasn't even sure you could do grabs and corked rotations in this game until after watching this video.

Skate 3 had tons of copyrighted music but you could adjust what would actually play in settings, I imagine they'll do something similar here.

I played the alpha, and actually just suggested this to Ubisoft that they implement natural triggers like avalanches. Hope they are able to incorporate it :D
I actually did as well, haha.
I believe one of the skiers they had featured in part of this game later died in an avalanche [citation needed] so don't expect them to be incorporated

it'd be really cool if one of the mountains had a resort with guests, a park, could take a gondola or chairlift, mess with ski patrol etc
It's the alps, I don't think it's a ski resort, just a mountain

IGN was great years ago, it's just that all the talent left to work at different sites or to build their own shows.

Look up Infinite Air, it's a new snowboarding game thats being developed that is supposed to feel like skate 3 (and has park building).

thank you so much I am a big fan of realistic games like skate and shawn white snowboarding and after seeing this comment I have been addicted to finding out more and I have another game to look forward to aswell as steep and snow (kinda if they don't do a dayZ)
_2U_ Forget who is developing it. Look up "Infinite Air gameplay" and there is a short video talking about it. It is still in very early stages but it looks good so far.
Brandon L. when u say its gonna be a downgrade u must take into account that its a completely different studio and director compared to the other ubisoft game and all the downgrades in their games are by the same developers
this looks awesome! i hope they make the landing impacts heavier though and more powder flying around please! some places you shouldnt even be able to see your dude haha

All the more reason to voice our opinions so things get fixed :)
Having played the early access I can say that the landings do have impact feel now. I can also see that a lot of the landings in this video seem weightless because people are not aware of the steepness of the terrain (it is easier to get a feel of when you are playing yourself). So, on steep landings you hardly feel any impact, but on flat landings you do! You easily get back weight and sit on your ski tails etc, even in the air you can get back weight and the character responds to it as you see him visually losing balance. It's really well made to be honest!

At first i saw the trailer from E3 and thought "what a boring EXTREME sports game..." and now i'm watching this and im thinking this is the most epic RELAXING sport game ever !
From wingsuit to skiing, all looks like a great time to hang out, even the races are not really competitive, they're just relaxing fun to goof around.

I'm not a great fan of winter sport but this game truly stunned me with beautiful graphics and diverse gameplay ! I'll pay this one ! ;)
looks amazing, the snowboarding reminds me a lot about amped
yeah but in amped the rail slides looked way more realistic. also the impacts after every stunt are cheesy in steep. idk what the guys at ubisoft were thinking. amped is over 10 years old and it feels like you had more abilities to do stunts because of the grinds. but theres one positiv thing. the rotations and grabs are sexy.

Just started playing this as it was on sale on the ps store last month, not really interested in extreme sports but I'm trying to play games outside my usual box and so far I'm really enjoying it.
Now we need a platinum playthrough. This is na easy platinum if you like these style of games

Kinda wish there was a ski lounge as a hub at the bottom of a mountain or something, where everyone could meet up, maybe have NPCs that give challenges/ community events. It wont really change anything gameplay wise, but it would help give it that living, open world feel.

Ghostyy when getting near a mountain you catch wind and go up...its pretty easy ingame
Ghostyy fly pass mountain walls for a lift and don't push your stick forward then you have better control of the parachute 🖒
If you actually ski it makes this game sound so much better

dang finally someone good on the game throwing down and landing tricks. looks mega but i still feel its a little too sfx and should scale down the jumps to really embrace the feel of riding. Once your happy with just landing a method they have nailed it in my eyes.
This game has terrific sound design.
This game had so much potential unreal amount. They should've kept working on this for another year or so. Great game can't lie bout that but if they waited and workerd on it more like the graphics and motion and added terrain parks.... Imagine that :000

Reminds me a lot of Amped 3, you could do a lot more than just snowboard like hang gliders, snowmobiles and sledding so I hope those are added in down the road.

They must've shown this off poorly at E3, cuz at E3 this looked boring as shit but here it looks really fun.
At e3 show they focused more on showing off the graphics and the paragliding(parachuting?) and the replay system then just playing the game.

I hate how people are loving this game saying its the skate 3 for snowboarding but it looks so arcadey. This game is crazy unrealistic but people are accepting it as a "sim" like skate 3. The graphics might be better but I feel like Infinite Air is gonna be much more realistic and simulation like. Infinite Air is open world, custom mountains, and the ability to add your own features. This just reminds me of a toned down shaun white snowboarding.

Snowboarding gameplay feels the same like SWS, with a bit smoother rotations and flips, which is good, and without this "OMG here comes the ground" slams type of landing which was the worse thing in SWS. The game looks arcade for sure but I think will be better than SWS atleast. Something that really catch my eye here are the turns, they seems to be fun to do and you can get more advanced with them if you want
