Hotline Miami and The binding of Isaac are my current pickup and goes. All the games you've mentioned are solid though. Keep it up with the videos man, you're keeping the Vita alive!
I gotta go with Darkest Dungeon. One of the easiest pickup and play games out there. Simple and not-too-difficult combat with a lighthearted story. Something that's great for audiences of all ages. It's on par with Paper Mario.
Senran Kagura Bon Appetite would be my choice for pick up and play. Also Kawaii Deathu Desu. Probably any Ratalaika platformer/adventure like Milo's Quest or Paradox Soul.

Lumines: Electronic Symphony is my favorite pick up and play on the Vita! You can even customize a Playlist and save a bunch for any given scenario you might find yourself in.
It's good to see UPPERS on this channel! This beat-em-up is an underrated timekiller that I enjoyed and I do recommend you try it if you wanna pick up a Vita game and jump right into action.
The Edmund McMillan Duologu is a PlayStation Vita classic They not only make great pick up and play games, but also have an interesting history on the platform, Super meat boy was meant to be the final physical release on the Vita (though that didn't really work out) and The Binding of Isaac was supposed to come out physically too, but it just... Didn't... Until some Sony employee just drops off a ton of not-for-resale copies at the store, making for one of the rarest Vita games of all time
Yeah who would have thought things would have turned out that way, especially for The Binding of Isaac, a game we didn't even know to exist up until recently. And now resellers are asking crazy amounts for it. 😭

Dude, the senran kagura games(sv and ev) are my pick-up and play in my collection. Most of my playtime is spent while cooking rice! I can't play them for long durations as the combat can get repetitive fast. Other games that I play in short bursts include soul sacrifice delta, dragon's crown, disgaea 3, and disgaea 4. In contrast, ys 8 is a game that I usually play from full to empty battery.🤣
I used to got bored with the Kagura series until I made all my characters and enemies wearing bikinis (minus two of the characters due to well, the obvious).

Man, I love that game, I even get a physical copy from a japanese digital store and downloaded the fan made english translation but I have to say that it's perfectly playable in japanese. @@PSVitaat2am No i have one ,, the OLED vita and i couldn't mod it with CFW because it didn't came with an internal memory ( not like the 2000 model ) ,, so i ordered the official 8GB Sony memory card from Amazon because it was the cheapest one i could find ( the 4 GB isn't available anywhere ) and i modded my vita just to be able to use the ( SD2VITA ) adapter that allows me to use any MicroSD card from the cartridge slot and use it like an official PS vita memory card ,, you can use up to 256GB MicroSD card with your vita with it 😁 now i order an 128GB MicroSD card from amazon for 17.99$ only while the official 8GB memory cost me 34.99$ 😂 ,,

They are somehow the lame yet absolutely cool at the same time🤣 Also I know the story for p4d isn't a grand adventure but it's nice seeing what goes on after the main game and spend time with the characters again. I would say superbeat xonic is a good pick up and play game if you like rhythm games. Turn on the game and load up Freeplay mode and you are set! I played it on the bus all the time
Gotta mention Gem Legends again. It's a fun gem game when you don't have a lot of time. On the PSP side of things, I recommend Sega Genesis Collection. There's a lot of games on there that are easy to just pick up and play.
Uppers was coming to PS4 but got canned by Sony due censorship crap. Funny because it came out on a Sony platform (Vita) only in Japan. A Switch version was announced but haven't heard from that in a while. It was released on Steam and just like the Vita version is also uncensored.
Thank you James, I gotta Say 'Russian Subway dog' suit well my train trips ..controls are tight : you can juggle and all that with ease when mastered, worthy purchase ! that and 'mine sweeper' or picross for relaxing times.
For me, probably Need for Speed: Most Wanted (the open world allows you to just chill out and cruise for a few minutes), Dead or Alive 5 Plus (arcade mode with most, if not all, characters and stages already unlocked with adjustable difficulty), and I've honestly been picking up the Ratchet and Clank Collection off and on for a while now playing for about 10-15 minutes at a time. I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of anything else right now. Sly 2 and 3 are great to screw around in if you have a completed (or close to completed) save file.
I would say a fighting game, maybe because I always remember the arcade days where you have to pay for play and I already just played a couple rounds at the time, so I would say something like Guilty Gear or Dead or Alive 5, yeah DOA5 in public becuase everything is tamer compared to the Senran Kagura games, and the DOA Xtreme series too.
I really like the recent game i received from Play Asia that I always play quickly on the go when I get the itch. That game is Brother Hood United; such a fun run quick play run and gum game. Another great feature to this game as well is you can play it co-op. 🤘😎🎮
Persona Dancing games seem very fun in general, I've only played P3D, but mainly cuz I still didn't finished P4G. I'll surely give a try to P4D and P5D on my Vita when I manage to finish their respective OG versions.
My pick is Plant vs zombies. To this day, I always come back to pvz (classic) and terraria. I'll pick terraria, but a quick session usually turns into a whole day... My alternate pick is Catherine Full Body. While the vita port is Japan only, the game is quite import friendly.
@@aidandrotzur6006 it's a definitely a good pick up. It's worth pointing out that the vita port got an overall downgrade compared to its counter ports. Also it's not really necessary, but the vita and ps4 port does not come with the dlc, so you'll have to purchase them separately if you so choose.

I played the official localized Steam version of Uppers and I LOVE IT! Shame the PSVita (and PS4 version to add even more salt to the wound) never came to the West despite XSEED Games' good intentions. Reminds me of the original Fighting Force on PS1, just with a sometimes janky camera. :P While the Persona 3 and 5 Dancing games are... good, they pale in comparison to P4 Dancing All Night. If only ATLUS and SEGA weren't too greedy with both of them, they could have surpassed it content-wise. The remix soundtrack of P3D was great... not so much for P5D though (hell, P5's entire soundtrack was lackluster, change my mind lol).
No I actually agree 100% with you regarding Persona 5 soundtrack. I think if they were to make a dancing game now with Royal and Strikers out there would be enough songs to create decent content, however when that game first came out only Persona 5 existed and yeah a lot of soundtracks were just instrumental. So it didn't have the same flare as the others.

any Bomberman available on the system. Don't think there was a Bomberman Vita, but there's a couple of pcengine 'ages' releases, the psp one, the psx ones. Now to think about it... most of my vita games are pcengine or psx games...
On its own I would agree it was okay, but coming after the epic and engrossing storyline that was P4G it just didn't live up to it, at least in my opinion.

Duck Souls was a fun playthrough. Each level was short and sweet with an appropriate level of challenge.

I think if they were to make a dancing game now with Royal and Strikers out there would be enough songs to create decent content, however when that game first came out only Persona 5 existed and yeah a lot of soundtracks were just instrumental. So it didn't have the same flare as the others.

@@PSVitaat2am well it is in the Brazilian store. I bought it when Sony announced that the store would be closed. Luckily it wasn't, but I couldn't miss this one on the Vita. But I'm curious to know if it's available at other countries also.

any Bomberman available on the system. Don't think there was a Bomberman Vita, but there's a couple of pcengine 'ages' releases, the psp one, the psx ones.
Now to think about it... most of my vita games are pcengine or psx games...
Check out a game called Explosive Jake, it's essentially a Bomberman clone on vita. :)

On its own I would agree it was okay, but coming after the epic and engrossing storyline that was P4G it just didn't live up to it, at least in my opinion.

Is there any language barrier to Uppers? Can you play an import version without much trouble?
I have uppers easy game to play. Use translate for objectives and u are set.
I would say you would really only need it for the actual storyline. The gameplay itself is very easy to learn without a translation.
