Can I just say you are a true queen!? You do such an amazing job ❤️ I recently subscribed to your channel and I love all of your videos. They are very relatable (I too suffer from extreme anxiety and depression and have two kids of my own) the chores over power me most of the time and to see I’m not alone boosts me up . Thank you so much for letting us all in to view your home and family and messes. Appreciating you and the journey you’ve been going through all these years. Also my fans are ALWAYS dusty! Lol we have many animals so all the hair and dander are always caked on since our fans are usually always on all over the house haha.

Wow, you worked your butt off! Everything looks so lovely! I am going thru my house and getting rid of tons of stuff. Something has finally snapped, and lots of things I was keeping just out of guilt, are going. It is a great feeling. When my husband goes on an errand in the area of the charity, he drops off the boxes for me. I have also thrown out a lot. I am retired, and I want my house to be lighter, airier, and easy to keep clean. I am sure you know what I mean. You are doing a wonderful job taking care of your family, and you should be so proud of yourself!!!

I just found your channel today and oh my goodness, I can’t stop watching! I’m a married mom of two and I also suffer from anxiety and depression and have cleaning ocd. It’s so refreshing to see someone as nice and down to earth as you showing actual real life’s ups and downs. I so know what it’s like to want a perfectly clean house but not be able to get off the couch sometimes for days… Thank you for sharing!

Girl I am right there with you we have been on this journey since March 2021 this year we have downsize our house by more than 75% 90% of that downsizing went to donations the other 10% to the trash it is making my house so much easier to organize keep clean and I can clean my house so much faster I’m super excited we’ve got a few more things to do and we are in the homestretch now thanks that I continue to keep that I need in stock downstairs in my prepper pantry I put into see-through containers and labeled them everything has a spot everything has a place and I’m literally container rising my entire basement all personal care items are in bins and marked same with what I need in my prepper pantry downstairs thank you so much for the motivation you are amazing

I started my declutter life after a bad time of depression. My children were at school my husband was at home I looked around our bedroom and thought I don't want to live another day with all this stuff. I had my husband help me remove every single thing that was in that room we piled it into the family room. I got started went online and reserved paint, curtains and new bedding while my husband went to pick it up I got to washing walls, paintwork windows. We painted the whole room had to sleep on the sofas that night, next day was when we only put back the pieces that looked nice we cleared out every pieces of clothing that we never wore or liked it fitted into one dressed and a closet the transformation is stunning the bedroom is so easy to keep clean it's always fresh looking. We are doing the same to each room in the house I can't believe how beautiful and big our home is becoming I'm feeling a lot better. Sorry for going on so long I get excited to see others on the same journey as me, your transformation is beautiful congratulations.

Hi that's another one of my problems you know I get it all looking good and then when I come in the house you know whatever is empty or whatever I put something down on it and I leave it in the next thing you know and I'll keep on doing it so lately I've been going through all the things that I put all the stuff in and I'm starting to collect like I got a thing with little boxes I don't know why but so I'm starting like find my empty Little boxes now so but I do got a few of the bigger wicker so I'm going to start finding the ones that have the handles where I could put them in my closet like that and do better for myself cuz I love all my stuff that I can't see so let's do this!!

    • @jaynebrandon7184
      @jaynebrandon7184 2 роки тому

You know that's what I thought I liked watching your videos because we have a lot in common with our hoarding mess messes where we put things away a whole bunch of things and then everything is sitting out I finally admit it a couple months back that I have that hoarding to that to that extreme not like that one on TV either I mean my own cuz I like pretty stuff but then I can't see it cuz it's probably put in a box because I you know got to put put it away somewhere so what the way you you're doing it it works for me it makes sense it makes me really think about actually that I can do it so I'm glad I came across your videos even though they're 7 months or whatever still they still work but I'm curious on how the spots look that you have already did like that bathroom now that was a good makeover for real so I mean are you going back in between these videos and keeping them clean or something are still going through and limiting more getting rid of it that I think that's a pretty good question I hope you can answer it see you??

I am not sure if you know this but I went to nursing school and worked as a CNA at University of Chicago hospitals and cared for Cancer patients for 4 years. It is very hard to live with that and my patients encouraged me to quit smoking at that time. I haven't smoked a cigarette in 20 years! Best choice I ever made! And yes Marika we will get control back little by little! I am working on complete disaster video to out hopefully by this weekend! Its some good cleaning motivation for holiday prep! "I don't have to fill every space in my home". This speaks to me so much! Growing up, we lived in a trailer, and my parents were always "yeah, I'll take that, I'm sure I can find a use for it." If there was an open space, I saw opportunity and would fill it. Rather than just enjoying the open space. Now that I'm older and have my own home, and sometimes feel like it's going to cave in on top of me, I crave simplicity and NOT having things along every wall.

Just a tip to keep things quite tidy. At the end of each week, on Friday get the kids to tidy the rooms with you. Quickly grab stuff under couches and beds, put any clutter away. Chuck things into a trash bag to donate if you find things. We do this every Friday after school and it helps you keep on top of things. Because you do it each week there is not too much to do.

For leftover tape adhesive on the floor try mayonnaise, apply directly on adhesive , let it stay few minutes, than scrub with toothbrush, than wipe with microfiber cloth dipped in warm water and wring it.

Missed your content. Glad you're back and sorry to hear ya had some nasty sickness. My husband and I had the flu bug several weeks back. We had gotten the flu shot from our local military installation around mid Oct and we both felt yucky and couldn't eat things without feeling nauseated. He called his local doctor and described both our symptoms and turned out it was part of the normal flu bug. Several folks around the city we live in caught it. We took extra precautions and had Door Dash deliver Walgreens type meds and soups and plenty of water. Had them leave it on the porch, then I took Lysol to really ensure all was ok. I then sprayed our house and washed all our sheets and clothing. Once we got better, I did a huge deep clean of all things to really ensure disinfectant. We're good now too. Happy to hear you guys did not get ill from "that" virus.
Wanted to share some thoughts with you. I totally agree with your breakdown of refreshing a space. My husband is military, and we've been renting every house we lived in for about 10 years. Now he's close to retirement, and we've bought our first and possibly forever home. As our things finally arrived from our overseas previous base, I slowly started revamping things. It's little things that were on my mind weighing me down. Door knobs that were old, kitchen drawer with broken hinge thing, back screen door with mesh broken, etc. Nothing major or huge, just small things that bothered me. So, I wrote down projects and slowly tackled one thing at a time. Same thing with my wardrobe. I watched some fellow UA-cam folks and they helped keep my mind right. If I have not worn things in 6 months to a year, stop holding onto to things. If you're not in the season of life to wear it or use it, get rid of it. And my anxiety level really dropped. I have more room and feel much better knowing someone else who is able to use or wear something can enjoy it. Thank you for these videos you provide and thank you for sharing your thoughts and deeper feelings on issues. ❤️❤️

I really appreciate hearing you speak about simplifying your home by decreasing how much you have, keep and store. I have been doing this step-by-step for awhile with good results. It has also broadened my philosophical idea by helping me to define more closely what is high priority and what is not. What items enhance my and my family's life and what does not. What I am keeping for reasons that do not matter, like what others may think, and how to express my values in my home maintenance chores. I get a super good feeling when I watch you explain your process as it validates what I hold dear in my own transformation. Thank you so much.

I’m currently living at home with my parents and sister, and none of them ever clean the house (or do many chores). The clutter has gotten to the point where most flat surfaces are unusable, including much of the kitchen counter, and sections of the house are just abandoned. Plates and cutlery are scattered throughout my parents’ and sister’s rooms, so it’s a struggle for me to keep enough dishes clean to eat/drink with. Absolutely none of the items in the clutter are mine. None of them are even communal items that I know how to put away, so it’s become impossible for me to reduce the mess, and the others just aren’t motivated to help. I have anxiety and autism, so keeping control of my surrounding is super important for my peace of mind. My house, the way it is right now, is absolutely suffocating. I’m so living vicariously through this video right now, and I can’t wait until I can move out and create a minimalist living space of my own.

This was a truly great video to see again. and very relaxing music to boot. I had just started renovating my living room as well in October since both of my cats have passed on this summer and in the beginning of October was the last one. So that gave me a time to do this. It hasn't had a makerover since we moved in 21 years ago. Especially to get it painted for the first time other than the precoat the painters do before moving in. we are now in the process of waiting for the carpet to come in and be laid which won't be until January because of the delay in the carpet itself. We ordered it in October. One room at a time though. All of the carpet in the house needs to be replaced (21 years). Our kids have been moved out for over 5 years now (that i when our youngest has been gone). So this is making me feel wonderful too, just like you. I have depression too and anxiety as well. So this was a good video to watch.

We live across the country from the rest of our family and I have two daughters (4 & 2 1/2) have suffered from postpartum with both of them. Buying our first home when I was six months postpartum. Going through and fixing up a house that was very dated and not in great condition. And when I am not having postpartum depression, I already had anxiety and depression. Ok, I’m typically a lurker and don’t leave comments- but holy crap how relatable your tape on the floor story is!!! So often I find myself looking at little stuff like that just thinking… yup, need to do that still! I bet it feels amazing to finally have that crossed off the to do list!!

🤦‍♀️ I hate to have to admit this truth but it did take that long. And yes it feels good to finally get it done!! I encourage you to do that one simple thing you need done and get ahead in your life too.😂 That dawn powerwash works wonders on everything and anything! Thanks for being here and making me laugh!🤎💪🙏🦋

I had to smile as I watched you attempt to use your own body to make the rug lay down the way you wanted it to! You are very determined! You likely know that, over time, the rug will relax (the fibers will flatten as the kink of being rolled up dissipates) and it will not require the weight of furniture to hold it in place.

When I clean my fans I use an old pillow case wet it and just put one blade into the pillow case and slide it through, the dust goes stays inside the case while it’s cleaning it because it’s wet! I hope that makes sense. Lol

Your place is starting to look even better these days, and losing the stress mess is such a pleasure, I currently found a way to recycle old broken toys but it's unfortunately 3 hours away from where I live but I have a trips planned that way. But where still chipping away to having less too. I love being able to not just toss stuff into dumps, just hate the fact it piles up till I have enough to fill a bag to make a trip, but we're getting there

@@MightyMama you're welcome! I've missed your videos. So glad you're back! I watch a few different channels, but I love how you show true life. Some other channels with cleaning motivation seem so "perfect", you know what I mean, mostly tidy houses with regular daily chores to do. I am a mom of two little girls that love to play and make messes. I really love how you show true life messes, I can relate to you most. Thanks for the inspiration! Keep up the great work! 💪

Hey hun. Have missed you. Wana share a cleaning hack with you for your ceiling fans I loved when I saw. Use an old pillow case. Wipe the blades off inside the pillow case. Then just dump wash n good for next cleaning. Glad you are back and doing well.

Hi Stacy! Thanks for that tip. I have seen that but if only I can get past my ocd of putting dust in a pillow case and then having to wash it with other linens. 😂 This always deters me from doing so. Maybe one of these days I will try it and when I do I will be thinking of you.🤎 thanks for being here.🙏

I would recommend changing or cleaning your furnace filter once a month for awhile to let the air circulate. With kids and pets it can get pretty dusty. I would also recommend hav8ng your ductwork cleaned in spring. It makes such a difference!
