Tony is exactly right! When younger, I allowed myself to be duped several times. These are the kind of tricks they'd use. By the time the mask fell, I was too in love to leave. I finally learned my lesson. You have to learn to truly love yourself first and to be content on your own. Then, maybe you're ready for a relationship. At this point, I'd rather not be in one. ( Sidenote- my father died when I was 8, and my mother never remarried. So I had no male role models.)

Exactly put your kids first. I raised my three boys and my life was consumed with work, school, and everything my kids had going on. I remember thinking I didn’t have a life but I didn’t have a choice. My kids needed me. Now two of my three boys are grown, stay on their own and take care of their business. Now I have more time than I ever had before. I still have my youngest son, couple of more years till he is an adult, but I’m still pushing. Men came and went but I stayed on my course. I didn’t have too much time to give a man because I was always busy with my sons, and raising three Kings. God will bless you and give you the strength to push through. It was worth it!

I had a family member tell me that they were so "distraught", after hearing that I had ended a relationship with a grown boy, because he was "so nice". I told her he was also a selfish, inconsiderate, financially irresponsible, unreliable, gambling addicted, drug using, lying, cheater.

Tony is exactly right! When younger, I allowed myself to be duped several times. These are the kind of tricks they'd use. By the time the mask fell, I was too in love to leave. I finally learned my lesson. You have to learn to truly love yourself first and to be content on your own. Then, maybe you're ready for a relationship. At this point, I'd rather not be in one. ( Sidenote- my father died when I was 8, and my mother never remarried. So I had no male role models.)
My ex waited to act a fool after 3 years I left and he got mad it was crazy people want you to stay after they misuse you..smh!

Exactly put your kids first. I raised my three boys and my life was consumed with work, school, and everything my kids had going on. I remember thinking I didn’t have a life but I didn’t have a choice. My kids needed me. Now two of my three boys are grown, stay on their own and take care of their business. Now I have more time than I ever had before. I still have my youngest son, couple of more years till he is an adult, but I’m still pushing. Men came and went but I stayed on my course. I didn’t have too much time to give a man because I was always busy with my sons, and raising three Kings. God will bless you and give you the strength to push through. It was worth it!
