I started watching this channel during COVID-19 when I took up this new hobby. I had a plane and place to fly, but no teacher. Brian's maneuver around 24:40 was the first one I dared to try, inspired by his frequent demonstrations on the channel. It looked manageable for a beginner like me and I confidently pulled it off (with a Carbon Cub S2 back then). I never crashed with this move. This maneuver remains my favorite for any flying session. With the Carbon S Cub, Z Cub or any other plane. The heavier the plane, the better it feels. Why? Because that simple maneuver is absolutely beautiful and elegant. It features a full-throttle flyby and a steep climb. (Take a dive before if you want.) That climb is followed by a magical weightless moment with a 180-degree turn, where the plane presents itself to you like a peacock its feathers or a high diver his form before he jumps. Then, nose down, comes that zero-throttle, gravity-infused powerful dive and - if you want - silent sailing. A low-throttle OR full throttle&full flaps flyby for your fans to finish it... and then pushing it again. Love it so much. I don't really need many other tricks. Thanks, Brian & CameraCrew! Love from Germany.
Yay!!! The pond maiden!! So glad I found this episode. I've seen many since, but you know how UA-cam works 😅😂 So very cool. I can't wait to see how the property develops and am so happy for you
Been watching you for about two years now Brian, will have to say, you and cam-crew have some of the best RC content UA-cam has to offer, just something about watching your videos is satisfying, and it makes you wanna keep coming back to check out the reviews, I hope you have sponsors from these companies from these perfect reviews. A big reason I got into RC Aviation was because I was recommended one of your videos two years back. Never stop making these videos Brian, love from your fan base man. Can’t wait for the new content for this summer! Your success was amazing to watch when I became a fan and to see you guys grow to where you’re at now.
Brian, Megan...So happy to see your dreams coming true. Can't hardly wait to see it in person. Got a plan of action getting set up for my better half towards a path for healing. Praying it all works out so we can venture out more. Take care my friends. I wish the best for you and family too. :-)
Thanks Brad, and can't wait to hear the positive results for your better half, and we'll be praying for you and her. Can't wait to share this spot with you, in person some time soon!!! P.S. Hi again, congratulations to you both, what a marvelous asset to your property. I also have the CZ Cub on floats so I know how much you were enjoying flying it. Great job Brian. Enjoy those long summer evenings.
Your (and camera crew) enthusiasm for the hobby is infectious.. Makes me want every plane you demo, LOL.. Im just re-entering the hobby after over 10 year break.. Enjoying the Electric stuff and tech very much.. Thx for sharing.. and from a fellow N. Iowan, Stay warm. Thx for the video! I also got confused on the installation of the Floats on this Carbon-Z Cub, although I put all of my planes on floats because I only fly on floats. Now my Cub is ready for maiden flight. Enjoy the Cub on floats!
Congratulations! The gratification watching this video is amazing , I can only imagine how you guys are feeling , looking forward to loads of great fun flights from this new perspective well done and every best wish for the future.
You folks have serious motivation and drive. You really deserve this awesomeness! Now then, my first experience with Brian Phillips RC was the twin timber. I'm thinking that is the perfect second plane to show on this pond.
Brian that was the best video I've ever seen one thing your pond needs you need you a boat I had my pond built-in 89 it's about 500 ft from my house I wound up buying me a camper and spent most of my free time down at my pond then I got me a boat that really made a big difference it made it look more complete. I will bel ooking for your next video

I’ve said it before but make zero doubt, this cat can fly!! You’re talking a plane this large ripping around trees standing on a wingtip in a very tight area despite the size of the pond. Well done! Pond looks great!

Hello, with the honeysuckle. Pick a complete blossom. Turn it around with the stem portion towards you. Get a grip of the rear of the blossom including the stem portion. Pull out the end of the blossom from the rest. There should be a little clear droplet of moisture collected upon the stamen of the pulled-out portion. Suck this droplet off the stamen. Pick another blossom and repeat. I hope I explained this well enough. It is good. We did not plant honeysuckle in our back yard, but we had some. It is a blessing.

Incredible
Nice dam runway!!
CONGRATULATIONS! Work hard, play hard! I wonder if there's enough room for a meaningful full-scale runway. My first plane was a 1973 Skyhawk that I flew with family even IFR in IMC for some seven years. Of the earlier years, the "M" model was the best, especially with long-range tanks. For that plane, A 2,000' paved runway would be the minimum I'd recommend.
Nice take-off and flight
Awesome 🎉
We came there too soon! Reminds me of Jones Beach in May. It’s a bit more crowded in June…
Love the floats on the CarbonZ Cub! Looks great! So glad it flies nice, too.
I'll be "moist maidening" my Maule while on vacation in the Adirondacks, NY in a couple weeks. Super stoked about it.
Noticed 2 planes on my HH wishlist are on sale right now. I'm really struggling deciding on either Draco (only 5 Hundo) or the 1.2m BNF P47 ($70 off). I love warbirds. And my wife probably won't murder me in my sleep if I get the P47 for myself for father's day. But, Draco... I mean- that's the bees knees right there. No chance it's ever on sale like this again. Ugh. I'm so torn.

PS- I've got to link a new credit union account to PayPal which has been a huge pain. I'll get it straightened out and order a Baby Draco stand from your little child labor camp in the basement (😂) soon.

Congratulations on your beautiful new pond! So excited to see it all taking shape! * Thank you both for sharing!
Can you put a rudder(s) on the floats? That would solve the steering problem :)
i just got mine couple weeks ago cant wait to get it on water
They say that behind every good man, there's a great woman! Here's looking at you camera crew!
🔥🔥Awesome 🔥🔥
Is there a flexible clearcoat or something you can spray foam airplanes to make them much more durable from paint peeling or hanger rash? I know it will add weight but I’m just not a fan of a foam finish.
Thin laminating film is one way. Floor polish is another.
You gotta dig the Twin Timber out of your basement and put 'er on floats. Crank up the differential thrust level too. Its the ultimate on floats!!! Pond is awesome!
If you give it more thrust it will help overcome the wind pushing the plane around on the water. Sometimes I will 'burp' the throttle fairly high (like 70-80%) repeatedly while full rudder to get the plane to rotate.
Brill work well done so any chance sticking a cam on that plane? Sure would help you plan further flight plans etc etc God Bless you both!!
Thanks Brian - We don't usually do any FPV since there's a bit of a wrinkle in the FAA rules...and don't want to get into it, but it would require some additional fiery hoops to be compliant, so we just don't share that footage, if we get it.
