In honesty, what puts me off of the MU is having to give the game complete and constant focus for 20 minutes. Adding more time is not going to encourage me to go there more often.
Isn't it always they way you are 10 minutes in MU and guaranteed the other half will want us to do something....and saying '10 mins honey' isn't an acceptable answer. They already barely tolerate the time we spend in game, and 'normal' grinding can dip in and out. I cant have a 20 minute bathroom visit.....
@@smithge4ukExcept it isn't just 20 minutes because you have Silent, Xindi 1 and 2, Gorn, Freebooters, actual Faction ships for weekly credit bonus over 40. You also have to setup your mining and if you need 4*,5*,6* you have fog of war BS to deal with so you can't just send to a node and forget about it.
I haven't even got to the older loops like Voyager, Amalgam, Mantis, Botany Bay, Stella, Vi'dar/Talios, D'Vor, Fesha, Meridian, Discovery, Franklin, Missions, Oh! And dailies.
I might get an hour a day I try to get as much of the first group as I can. The second group, with the exception of events, are ignore until I get tired of having to ignore necessary refines and maybe get enough for two days a quarter.
I just realized that I forgot about 4 more things that aren't in either list that I don't get to.
This "game" has gotten to the point that if you are caught up it's a +40 hour week. If you are behind, +60 easy for a month.
How is that any different than waves.. I think it's the new trend

I haven't touched any of the mirror universe once the battle pass ended.
we've come so far in power creep that now they are selling more and more things to negate the bonuses they already sold.
The problem with the mirror universe is the game is too unstable to have a timed mechanic. There is nothing you can do to fix this. When you are spending 20 secs sometimes just locking onto a target and 60-90 secs moving between system and having the game lock up and crash 10-15 times while you are under the clock eatting up 30 to 40% of the clock. Then sometimes coming back after the crash having been attacked by someone because the game took 2 or more mins to reload and a bunch of time to reload the system you were in
A building to fix the bad design of last month. Skip the building and its packs and just fix it? Naaa let's monetize it. Well it looks like an adult pay to play location so I guess that checks out.
Its a common design choice. Make the problem, Sell the fix.
Its disgusting but as long as people keep buying it and people keep shilling for it they'll keep doing it.

As a lvl 34 soon to be 35 player i find all this frustrating because they want me to gain another six levels to even participate….if they want us to get there they need to give us a little help….
@heathergarner6285 quite before you spend money. I literally can't quite due to how much i spent at the beginning. It would be like throwing money away. I knowni know I already did by spending on a game I don't physically own
Adding more time to MU isn't going to make me want to do it anymore than the 1 trip I have made since it came out. If this is the main feature for this month its already an F for me. Maybe other people have time to add this loop into their game play, I do not.
I do it like maybe once a week. and only if I remember.
Putting a extraction game mode into this game is a mistake and rather than fix it they'll sell a "fix" thats not really a fix.
The players dont want more in game time. They missed the mark couldve accomplished the same thing with an impulse speed mining and loot boosts rather than force more time on us as the "fix"
Exactly. All they needed to do was speed up the nodes a little bit and add instant impulse once you get in and that would have solved everything instead of adding a new building.
It's good to have info on new things ahead of time. Gives everyone a chance to prepare
More advanced information actually gets people excited and willing to participate early. WoW has done this for years. I don't understand why Scopely has all of this secrecy.
Per Beks video it takes trillium d to upgrade the building? Which if so doesn’t seem great and negates the daily drip.
Happy they're testing it. Until they split it, I'll continue to camp at 50.

You can purchase a pack that includes a 30 day shield for a Ben Franklin.
Its crazy to not have the G5 and G6 split. Its one of the reasons I'm camping at 50 because its blatantly unfair to try and compete with the g6 players. If I moved to 51 I wouldn't bother spending anything anymore on brackets considering the scores the g6 are easily able to get.
The Bonus refinery needs tweaking. I get better pulls from the regular refinery

At lvl 40 we could get a ten minute bonus, if we pay to upgrade.
I think that quitting is on the horizon. More is more until it is too much. I hate the MU mechanic design
Scopely just needs to make 60+ SLBs cross servers of 2 or more depending on the target population size, etc. This solves the 60+ issue for them.
All I'm hearing is more grind for ever decreasing benefits. I''ll keep doing the loops and grinds I have time for, and maybe some day I'll start on the Mirror Universe.
We need to reuse the Mirror Universe Jellyfish for this content. Let's do something that helps the players instead of screwing us over. 😮😮

I pretty much ignore mirror universe, I don't have time for it and the rewards haven't convinced me yet. I fight there about once a week.

I guess I’m one of the minority. I like the mirror universe content. It definitely needs a big time review of the daily rewards AND material upgrade requirements though.
Seems like fixing all the clicks was too hard so we get an extra building
Why can't they just put out a good product? Instead of rolling out something that is meh at best and breaks their promises of "less screen time, less grind, more quality and less quantity."
The whole selling solutions to problems they created is just bad form.

Seems like it might be a nice update to a horrid feature set. I'm not sure why someone would look at a game set in space and think "you know what is missing in this game, a dungeon crawl." Anything to make the dungeon crawl less of a dungeon would be greatly appreciated.

Looks good on paper. So there will be a stinker in the design. Prolly won't be as slow to upgrade as war room but I'm expecting somewhere close. Consider me unconvinced.
I know we mentioned it quickly, but I hadn't seen this video yet... How bad is the event disparity going to be for G3 (20-39) vs G4+ (40-70). When there's an event store, with greatly reduced loot, how will G3 ever catch up?
so another building that will end up being a slow progression and possibly forgotten about like the war room which now only gets an event once a month and pay almost nothing. Why not bring a fix for the ridiculous navigation model and allow faster movement through rifts without the need to pay for premium rift tokens. no fix to mining speeds, oh, but we do get another 10 minutes in MU space so now we can waste 30 minutes grinding for small payouts on top of all the grind in the game. Please fix issues like lag by, oh I don't know maybe getting rid of dead content like worms or the thousands of items in the inventory which surely takes a lot of server space over the entire player base. in short fix the existing before adding more

Instead of giving us ability to jump from an 'entry' MU system to a deep system, paying the same net cost in rift keys, they give us more time to watch our ship march across the systems with pointless & WASTED time.

Welp i haven't done the Mu since the last sms and feel no drive to do it. If they really want me to do this it's going to have to be worth my while unlike silent hostiles and doing faction hunt is a complete waste of time

The strongest player in the game right now is about 6,500,000,000 overall power (player power). Players up there "generally" have spent 6digits (or more).

Just finished getting to Ops 39, so this is just another thing to look forward to when I finally get to Ops 40.

I never advise rushing for content, so no. Level up when you're ready (if you've completed all your goals, sure, go 40+)

That doesn't make sense for how the player levels are structures/different throughout servers. keep in mind they're having to make SLBs and events for 150+ servers.

More MU time and entry vouchers is not what we need. The other daily claim stuff is ok, beside that is yet another daily claim. Daily claims are all over the place, it takes a quarter of my gametime to do daily claims these days 😑
Pvp part is good I think, although I don't bother with pvp since Lorca.
We need an arc where they don't add anything new and take time to fix shit. And just run reruns if they must have something happening

More 40+ content... I remember the days when they would introduce stuff that started at 34, 36, 38. I'm 39 now. There are SO MANY THINGS that are 40+ that I don't even know if I will catch them all once I hit it.

G6 should have their brackets be XSLB until the server hits whatever minimums scopeley decide

How about instead, G5 has their own bracket with ALL lower tiers so they can experience the whining from people who think they'll "win" when the brackets are split but instead are going to end up top 20 instead of top 50 because they're not as big as they think they are.

That's an excellent solution. So simple. They'll never do it.
G6 don't like XSLBs either, so then they don't spend. Of course, that's because Scopely doesn't listen and do it correctly. If they want a minimum of say 50 players in G6 before they split it, all they have to do is pick two servers with 25 G6 players and pair them in XSLB. No more than that. Not the stupid all server things they tried. It's really not that difficult to figure this stuff out.
Why don’t they just fix all the problems the game already has before adding more problems?
New content is how the game makes/sustains revenue. hence why every month is something "new"

The need to clearly hire new programmers I hope tueor not pay the current ones much money as they keep giving us shit. I've play other games similar to this and blno where near the bugs this game has. And they don't put new content out monthly. More like every 3 months some it's every 6 months and they are still around and thriving after 15yrs

The only thing about the building I care for is the daily pull, the buffs do not really matter much.
The testing of splitting the brackets are good, but only doing it for some servers makes it effect the the value of the content quite a bit. If I was a G5 player, I would not be happy about selective testing like this.
Explain how you would test with insufficient number of players.
If you just test on servers with high G6 populations, you won't get data on how that could potentially negatively effect you on servers with low G6 populations.
For a responsible evaluation, you would need data from different populations. That is unless you have a specific goal of more imbalance between servers.
more pvp crit reduction is bad... when I hit a higher player and my crits do about 20% of the damage of normal hits makes the whole mechanic seem pointless. Crits should be big hits not clever ways to make them weaker than normal hits.
Remember to do your critical floor favor in ex borg!

I dont understand MU. They did a terrible job explaining how it works. How did you do that second refine? Where do you find the stuff. Why are thete two keys and why do I need to spend to go backwards? None of it makes sense.

Not pleased about the increase of inventory management and added clicks. I do more inventory management then anything else. Increased Chit damage reduction keeps making pvp more and more of a pay Wall. its feeling pay up or blow up. I am good on blowing up nothing more to learn about that mechanic of pvp.

I think the MU is horrible. The MU refinery has a horrible rate and the best this update is going to do is make the MU up to 50% more horrible. I still pull the MU refinery daily and have gotten exactly 10 premium keys just one time which means I still have to go thru 6 systems which requires constant baby sitting to get to someplace so I can grind for maybe 12 minutes. If Scopely would just fix the drops in their normal MU refinery then maybe it would be slightly less horrible.

@@RevDeuce 5 years on server 34. We have a bunch of ops 50s and 60s guys now. This will please that crowd. I have just been sort of trying to hold back. Work and being an Admiral take priority to my game play. Believe it or not? Ops 39.🐢 vs 🐇
I understand if you have priorities in RL and elsewhere that you have to spend time focused on, or want to stay at the top of the 30s bracket for SLBs, but it's definitely possible to progress with low/no spending. Currently OPs 49 on a 3 year old account having spent around $300CAD.
Got a North Star and 1 build & research queue when I started, made a regrettable half disco purchase in my first year, got the federation ship xp $5 pack, and then the rest went to a few battle passes that I thought had good value each year up until the Carol one. Since then I have decided to go completely F2P and haven't seen tooo much of a difference in my game.
I've put a good bit of time into learning how to play as efficiently as possible, and regularly save mats/hold off on upgrades for months at a time until there is an event I think is really worth going for. Could push into the 50s already but would rather catch up on key research and ship upgrades.
Also my alliance has been ~10th in our server since I joined 2+ years ago, with an infrequently participating ops 54 as our strongest. I sit around 3-5 in our power rankings, so no whales carrying us through alliance content.

@@WALTERBROADDUS I totally get how it can feel like that, but it is possible if you are super stingy with your mats at a good camping spot and skip some SLBs. I didn't pick up any of the new SNW officers over the past few months because I didn't think most of em were very good/game changing, and didn't push hard for the officers before them either.
That and only doing research upgrades that didn't cost any uncommon+ mats outside of spend events, which is more doable now especially in the 40s with all of the specialty research trees, allowed me to save up enough mats to come 2nd in the Mirror Picard SLB last month and hopefully place similarly in this month's for Kira.
Waiting for the 2nd week of SLBs also usually helps because most months the spenders come out in force for the 1st week's SLB so the score is higher in that one on average.
It's definitely annoying at times not spending throughout the rest of the month, especially when they add SMSs like the one that had Premium Mirror Dust and stuff in the past couple weeks. Usually my patience pays off though because not to many other people are as willing to hold mats, and most of the big spenders are well above ops 50 by now.
There was someone around my level who I know from doing the math spent 1000s on the Mirror dust SLB, but nobody in our level range is doing that consistently without blowing past us in ops level eventually.
Or I can ignore this new content until Dople works out all the bugs js
