I DID IT🙀It didn’t hurt or anything and I can’t even feel it! I’ve always envied people who wore tampons and could go swimming, not have a pad show through leggings, not feel like their wearing a wet diaper all day. This video helped me soooo much, I really wanted to learn how to use a tampon since I have lots of trips planned for this summer that involve swimming, and there are also more convenient and clean. I did it my first try and all it took was breath breaths and to go slowly, and if the tampon got stuck I shifted the angle a little and kept going! Anyone who is scared but wants to try, just hype yourself up! I gaslighted myself to believing I already wear tampons and that it wasn’t my first time 🤷♀️ lmaoo, you’ve got this!!!🙌🏻
@@Sky02-x2l Try to put it in on a day with a really heavy flow so it can go in easier, also have the smallest size, then by putting a very light amount of pressure find the hole, then find the right angle that it glides smoothly, this may sound weird but it might take a while to get the tampon into the hole so make sure the hole is open and just keep slightly moving the tampon around till it goes in, also make sure to put it in all the way before you start taking the applicator out. (if you are using one with an applicator) I hope this helps! You’ve got this😁
Literally as a 14 y/o girl I have been dreading it because i thought i would have needed to get help, or ask someone and im super shy and that would have been weird for me. but you actually made it sound easier than I was in my head, so thank you so freaking much. I was literally psyching myself out over this but you helped me realize it's not as big of a deal as i was making it out to be in my head.
i’m 14 too! i just did it for my first time and feel so relieved! she gave a little more detail than other people and was very chill. she talked it down almost, saying it’s not as severe as you think. that’s genuinely what helped me.
fr I’m in marching band so I know I have to use them at some point for my own convenience for example parades with mostly black uniforms in 90 degree heat is not a good mix with pads.
@user-es1hy8rq2syou leave the string hanging out, don’t push the string in with the tampon. You use the string to take the tampon out after a few hours
The best part about being a mom now is I can give books, show websites, and of course UA-cam videos to my kids! Then they asked any questions they had after. There's SO MUCH info to pass on about everything that it is very normal for us to forget things. That's why videos like this are so helpful.

I'm 14 and have 2 older sisters and both my parents are nurses. I've never been big on asking people for advice, especially on stuff like this. I tried putting in a tampon multiple times and failed. I realized that I would be on period during our beach vacation. Desperate not to ask anyone, I searched this video. You literally walked me through the whole process, me on the toilet with you playing in front of me. You should've seen my face when I finished. OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH LITERALLY LIFE SAVER. i’m going swimming and I knew I couldn’t wear a pad but i’ve never worn a tampon before and I was so scared and didn’t know exactly how to put it in, but this helped so much and it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I think i’ll start wearing them
I personally never had a problem with tampons, it has always been super easy for me to use them, but I know many people who struggle with them, so thank you so much for doing this video, I know it'll help lot's of people with vaginas ❤ Edit: A tip for beginners, use a mirror while inserting the tampon, that way you can know and understand better what you're doing and how it works. This helped me a lot the first time I used one. Good luck to anyone trying tampons!

I’m 14 years old and this is the last video I wanna be watching at 1 am, but i’m also a swimmer, so I have to learn. I despise tampons and I will only wear them in the water just because i’ve had so many anxiety attacks while trying to put one in. This video helped a lot because my mother didn’t go into much depth about it as she did. I’ll come back to edit my comment if I succeed. Edit: I succeeded on my third try and I don’t even feel it!
so im 14 and have just had my period for about 6 months. when i first got it i did a LOT of research because i barely knew anything about periods and wanted to be prepared. i learned about tampons and decided that they may be the best option for me. after a few weeks of trying to get my moms PERMISSION to let me try tampons, i finally tried them on my 3rd period and its safe to say im never going back to pads. my mom still gives me a dirty look whenever i buy tampons and she uses the fact that she "allowed" me to use tampons in arguments, but i cant do anything to chance her mind so i just try to deal with it. as i said earlier i did a lot of research regarding my period so you can imagine how much research i did about tampons. i can safley say you covered all of my research into this one video. great job!

Best video about tampons that I've seen! TSS is very rare by the way so don't worry guys🤍 If you are having trouble taking the tampon out using the string, then I recommend wrapping the string around your finger like once or twice and then tugging slowly.

THIS IS LITERALLY ME! I hate only wearing pads! I don't like having to stand up and feel the blood flow out. I always feel like I will leak, but I never do. Tampons are just there and you don't have to worry about standing up and feeling the flow. They scared me a bit at first, but as you said, THEY AREN'T SCARY AT ALL TO US, WE ARE SCARY TO THE TAMPON! I love that I will be able to go to school and change a tampon so much faster and quieter than a pad (since the packaging is smaller). Right?? So glad that Sharon is here to help us❤❤ I do still like wearing pads, (just in case, right?) and I'm glad that i always do with tampons because there's always that chance I can't change it in time, so I can just leak into my pad and without worry!😊

I just wanna thank Sharon for educating not only people with periods but people who some point in their life will have one. I got my period when i was 11 years old, and I was in the fifth grade and no one else had their period. My friends had no supplies and I was too embarrassed to go to the teacher to ask for a pad or help, and our school nurse was a boy. I ended up bleeding in my underwear but luckily I was wearing black tights so no one saw it. I finally told my mom when I got home and she told me how to wear a pad, I was too scared to try and use a tampon because I didn’t like the idea of shoving things up there. This video help me a lot I’m currently not on my period but it’s coming soon so I will definitely try and build up the courage to try this
I tried them this week and if it helps ease your mind I felt no pain whatsoever . It went up so well and I couldn't even feel it. It came out well and I'll definitely stick to them on heavier days.

i’ve been TERRIFIED of tampons and i tried them a couple of times before, but they didn’t work until today when i watched this. i realized that i was making the mistake of pushing the tip of the tampon out of the applicator before attempting to put it in, so after trying it correctly a couple of times, this was my first successful tampon application and now i can go swimming today! thanks, Sharon!

Anyone reading this, it's actually not that bad. You just need to try it out a bit and poke around a little. Don't be rough just gently feel around. You can do it! It doesn't feel uncomfortable either, you hardly notice it after a few minutes.

I already had my period around three times, but it was still really new. I got really excited and commented that I got my period during one of your period videos. I woke the next day and reloaded it was just spilled water that was one my bed from my water bottle. Then, this afternoon, I was binging a period horror story from you and I actually got my period 😛

@@ilovehotchips99 if you have a mirror I would recommend using that. It's your middle hole and it will take a little while to find it. It's really about feeling around for a little while and gently pushing it in. If it ever hurts, you should try a new angle or move it.

tysm! im a 14 year old girl and i had no clue how to use them and definitely cried a lot trying to figure it out. after about 7 tries (within about a year) i still had no luck and kinda just gave up on using them. today i had to go swimming and decided id try again. i found this and it was really helpful! figured it out on my 2nd try (with some help from google on positioning) and i was able to do it!! i’m really proud of myself and just wanted to say thank you for making this as i wouldn’t have figured it out. this had everything i needed and now im ready to go swimming :)

contains: Tips for making insurting easier, taking out dry tampon and making taking out any tampon easier. I recommend using a lubricant if it’s your first time and you are struggling. (I still use it to this day). I use the “KY jelly, water based personal lubricant for added protection”. 😊 a tip for talking out a dry tampon is to go into the bath and soak your body for about 30 minutes. The tampon will fill with water and won’t hurt as much bc it’s slippery. A combination of both: To help take any tampon out without pain, put a little bit of the lubricant around the entrance of the hole, then slowly take it out. (This will help it slip out easier without pain)

OMG IVE JUST DONE IT WHAT THE HECK I CANT EVEN FEEL IT. To anyone reading this, honestly once it’s in you will feel do proud of yourself, it’s litrally It’s so much more comfortable then pads I 100% recommend you doing it! When I first did it it took me a while to find the angle and it felt a little tight going in, but honestly it’s worth it :)
Seriously!! It's amazing I can barely feel it and leaking is basically non-existent! My mom said that she would buy me some but I might not like them but I totally like them better than pads they aren't loud and it feels like I'm not even on my period

Dont be scared at first I thought it was super scary and weird too but the tampon can fit inside you and I like to use them so I won't be scared to leak through my pad just try a bit and eventually it'll work and if it doesn't don't worry you can always try later on another period

I want to try tampons, i’m on my second period. But my period isn’t very heavy. I’m also a little bit scared to ask my mom to buy me tampons for me to try! I just learned how to put in a tampon today and I have had my period for 2 years. I have always been afraid of using tampons but I had to learn because I swim and dance. I have 4 tips for beginners or people stressing about learning how to use tampons. -Take your time. If you do not feel ready or comfortable to start using tampons yet don’t force yourself. Do it when you feel ready and comfortable. -If you’re trying to put a tampon in just relax. Your muscles can tighten and make it harder to put it in. -If you can’t figure out how to relax, I recommend listening to your favorite music to distract yourself from the pain or discomfort while putting it in. THIS TIP ESPECIALLY HELPED ME!! -If you can’t figure out where the tampon is supposed to go I HIGHLY recommend using a mirror. It helped me figure out where it was supposed to go. If you don’t have a mirror just try moving it around until it feels right. Please don’t worry though you can put it in the wrong hole. :) Good luck to everyone and remember you CAN do it!! I did it so you CAN as well 🫶🏼🫶🏼

This video helped me soooo much, I really wanted to learn how to use a tampon since I have lots of trips planned for this summer that involve swimming, and there are also more convenient and clean. I did it my first try and all it took was breath breaths and to go slowly, and if the tampon got stuck I shifted the angle a little and kept going! @@Sky02-x2l Try to put it in on a day with a really heavy flow so it can go in easier, also have the smallest size, then by putting a very light amount of pressure find the hole, then find the right angle that it glides smoothly, this may sound weird but it might take a while to get the tampon into the hole so make sure the hole is open and just keep slightly moving the tampon around till it goes in, also make sure to put it in all the way before you start taking the applicator out. (if you are using one with an applicator) I hope this helps! You’ve got this😁

i’m 14 too! i just did it for my first time and feel so relieved! she gave a little more detail than other people and was very chill. she talked it down almost, saying it’s not as severe as you think. that’s genuinely what helped me.

fr I’m in marching band so I know I have to use them at some point for my own convenience for example parades with mostly black uniforms in 90 degree heat is not a good mix with pads.

I'm 14 and have 2 older sisters and both my parents are nurses. I've never been big on asking people for advice, especially on stuff like this. I tried putting in a tampon multiple times and failed. I realized that I would be on period during our beach vacation. Desperate not to ask anyone, I searched this video. Edit: A tip for beginners, use a mirror while inserting the tampon, that way you can know and understand better what you're doing and how it works. This helped me a lot the first time I used one.

so im 14 and have just had my period for about 6 months. when i first got it i did a LOT of research because i barely knew anything about periods and wanted to be prepared. i learned about tampons and decided that they may be the best option for me. after a few weeks of trying to get my moms PERMISSION to let me try tampons, i finally tried them on my 3rd period and its safe to say im never going back to pads. my mom still gives me a dirty look whenever i buy tampons and she uses the fact that she "allowed" me to use tampons in arguments, but i cant do anything to chance her mind so i just try to deal with it. as i said earlier i did a lot of research regarding my period so you can imagine how much research i did about tampons. i can safley say you covered all of my research into this one video. great job!

I grew up as an only girl in a full boy house. So having the talk about periods with my dad was definitely awkward. I was told tampons were for ladies who were pregnant or already had kids so I've only ever used pads. If you are having trouble taking the tampon out using the string, then I recommend wrapping the string around your finger like once or twice and then tugging slowly.

THIS IS LITERALLY ME! I hate only wearing pads! I don't like having to stand up and feel the blood flow out. I always feel like I will leak, but I never do. Tampons are just there and you don't have to worry about standing up and feeling the flow. They scared me a bit at first, but as you said, THEY AREN'T SCARY AT ALL TO US, WE ARE SCARY TO THE TAMPON! I love that I will be able to go to school and change a tampon so much faster and quieter than a pad (since the packaging is smaller). Right?? I just wanna thank Sharon for educating not only people with periods but people who some point in their life will have one. I got my period when i was 11 years old, and I was in the fifth grade and no one else had their period. My friends had no supplies and I was too embarrassed to go to the teacher to ask for a pad or help, and our school nurse was a boy. I ended up bleeding in my underwear but luckily I was wearing black tights so no one saw it. I finally told my mom when I got home and she told me how to wear a pad, I was too scared to try and use a tampon because I didn’t like the idea of shoving things up there. This video help me a lot I’m currently not on my period but it’s coming soon so I will definitely try and build up the courage to try this
I tried them this week and if it helps ease your mind I felt no pain whatsoever . It went up so well and I couldn't even feel it. It came out well and I'll definitely stick to them on heavier days.

i’ve been TERRIFIED of tampons and i tried them a couple of times before, but they didn’t work until today when i watched this. i realized that i was making the mistake of pushing the tip of the tampon out of the applicator before attempting to put it in, so after trying it correctly a couple of times, this was my first successful tampon application and now i can go swimming today! thanks, Sharon!

@@ilovehotchips99 if you have a mirror I would recommend using that. It's your middle hole and it will take a little while to find it. It's really about feeling around for a little while and gently pushing it in. If it ever hurts, you should try a new angle or move it.

tysm! im a 14 year old girl and i had no clue how to use them and definitely cried a lot trying to figure it out. after about 7 tries (within about a year) i still had no luck and kinda just gave up on using them. today i had to go swimming and decided id try again. i found this and it was really helpful! figured it out on my 2nd try (with some help from google on positioning) and i was able to do it!! i’m really proud of myself and just wanted to say thank you for making this as i wouldn’t have figured it out. this had everything i needed and now im ready to go swimming :)

I recommend using a lubricant if it’s your first time and you are struggling. (I still use it to this day). I use the “KY jelly, water based personal lubricant for added protection”. 😊
a tip for talking out a dry tampon is to go into the bath and soak your body for about 30 minutes. The tampon will fill with water and won’t hurt as much bc it’s slippery.
A combination of both: To help take any tampon out without pain, put a little bit of the lubricant around the entrance of the hole, then slowly take it out. (This will help it slip out easier without pain)

i’ve had my period for about 2 years and started using tampons in May of 2021. it is a lot more comfortable and less of a mess for me to use tampons.

when i was 14 i tried to use a tampon for the first time but it hurt so much and was so uncomfortable that i never tried it again, all these years after i thought i had vaginismus bcs i wouldn’t even try to get anything near it since that tampon back then hurt so much
now i’m 22 and my gynecologist told me to start to use tampons with applicators so i can get to know my body better, i don’t have vaginismus it’s all in my head.

OMG IVE JUST DONE IT WHAT THE HECK I CANT EVEN FEEL IT. To anyone reading this, honestly once it’s in you will feel do proud of yourself, it’s litrally It’s so much more comfortable then pads I 100% recommend you doing it! When I first did it it took me a while to find the angle and it felt a little tight going in, but honestly it’s worth it :)
Seriously!! It's amazing I can barely feel it and leaking is basically non-existent! My mom said that she would buy me some but I might not like them but I totally like them better than pads they aren't loud and it feels like I'm not even on my period
This will definitely help me, I’ll come back to it when I finally have the courage to use one. That may be sooner than I thought now I’ve watched this but who knows, probably not 😂
Dont be scared at first I thought it was super scary and weird too but the tampon can fit inside you and I like to use them so I won't be scared to leak through my pad just try a bit and eventually it'll work and if it doesn't don't worry you can always try later on another period

I want to try tampons, i’m on my second period. But my period isn’t very heavy. I’m also a little bit scared to ask my mom to buy me tampons for me to try! I think I will eventually soon because i just got it yesterday. I hope I can ask her easily and I will probably ask her over text because to me it is awkward to talk to her about in verbally.
Edit: She said yes! We went to the store and bought some for me to try. I don’t bleed THAT much, so i’m trying a light one first.

I just learned how to put in a tampon today and I have had my period for 2 years. I have always been afraid of using tampons but I had to learn because I swim and dance. I have 4 tips for beginners or people stressing about learning how to use tampons.
-Take your time. If you do not feel ready or comfortable to start using tampons yet don’t force yourself. Do it when you feel ready and comfortable.
-If you’re trying to put a tampon in just relax. Your muscles can tighten and make it harder to put it in.
-If you can’t figure out how to relax, I recommend listening to your favorite music to distract yourself from the pain or discomfort while putting it in. THIS TIP ESPECIALLY HELPED ME!!
-If you can’t figure out where the tampon is supposed to go I HIGHLY recommend using a mirror. It helped me figure out where it was supposed to go. If you don’t have a mirror just try moving it around until it feels right. Please don’t worry though you can put it in the wrong hole. :)
