Kappa Smith meh, hellblasters are better, get more models so more chapter banner procs, fire more shots reliably and will be next to your support units more. Nothing funnier than yoyr opponent giving you first blood cos they shoot your plasma incinerators, kill three and they all rapid fire overcharge and murder the rest of a squad
Nice models, But i'm really disappointed with the lack of poseability. I mean we can always remove pegs and replace hoses, but the fact they're made like that at all is a real step back compared to their older multipart kits.
Kappa Smith tell me about it! I was going to get some Primaris Marines to play around with a few modelling ideas, but at those prices it's not worth it.
I truly hope that GW releases more primaris models that are upgraded versions of old units (like stern guard or bikers) and give more weapon/modeling options to primaris intercessors if they plan on phasing out the mini marines. On a side note, with a keen eye and some pliers your could change up the helmet on the inceptors.
Cheers for the review, cool to see these dudes in the plastic. I'm disappointed that you don't get a consistent set of alternative heads for these troops but I do like the the orbital insertion head shield they included. Thought on the monoposity of the new range, are we seeing another attempt by GW to take business away from the aftermarket independents? Not sure if that is the reason or to make the models harder to copy? To add to your tactical notes these guys have assault weapons so can advance and fire at a minor penalty so can move an average of 13.5" and then shoot 18" for a threat radius 31.5", maxed out at 34". The Hellblasters you mentioned can do the same trick but these guys can Fly meaning they can reach stuff the foot troops can't. Thanks for the review :)
Leakycheese@ - awesome point/explanation. Every time I grab a new squad of these primaris figures; I always return to reference posts/etc before I start. Thanks for great tactical notes too
I quite like that first pose on the first model. If you angle him on the base it’d look like he’s braking/ hard landing feet first and guns blazing. The second one looks like he’s trying to do a Gundam pose
I am going to run three squads of Inceptors in my army and I think I will cut away the plastic hoses and replace them guitar strings so I can move the arms around a bit for variation. I'll have to cut the pegs on the heads to get them looking in different directions too.
I had to go and look it up. Wow I'm impressed. Ever since I saw the AT-ATs on the big screen I always thought tabletop games was a missed opportunity for the Star Wars universe. With the success of X-Wing I'm glad they've made created this.
i dont like the poses at all. the manlet assault marines have much more organic, dynamic poses. these guys look like theyre reclining on an invisible sofa lol
it's pretty apparent games workshop hasn't cared about any of its customers for a couple of decades, they couldn't care any less, they could put out a model of bigbird charge 40$ (us) and call it a adeptus birdicus and people would buy it, that's why they don't care.
oh God green stuff, for standard box sets? Jeez. Nothing stopping people from doing that but you have to be highly skilled with green stuff to make acceptable cables. They could just start designing models with posable options instead of everyone's Primaris looking the same.
SLA 3d printers are coming down in price, you can buy a decent desktop model sla printer for under 500$ now (only sla has the resolution capabilities to do decent minis) so ..within a couple years it will prolly be cheaper to buy a damn 3d printer and make your own figures
GW can frankly fuck off with these monopose models. I was excited for the release of the inceptors... right up until it turned out that along with the Aggressors you can only stick them in one pose. I'm not putting that kind of money down for three crummy models with ZERO customization when I can just buy some Deathwing. Although it's not a real loss considering Primaris have pretty awful rules, and Inceptors aren't that survivable. They're very expensive and make an ideal target to get sniped by high AP weapons.
For me, these are by far and away the worst looking space marines I've ever seen. Goofier than the old metal termies on the 28mm bases. They're awful. GW could pay me in pure plastic crack and I still wouldn't buy them. Glad you like them but I think they look like some bullshit tau-imperium crossover.
I thought that they did have two Plasma Exterminators each for a total of 2d3 shots each. hmm?
You're completely right. I'm only human after all...
thats so powerfull I can not beleive that
and when you supercharge and roll 6 dice you've got a good chance at killing your own guys.

@@Sup3rSaiy3n no guts no glory
I love that you always do size comparisons. That’s my main interest when looking at figures before deciding on purchasing them.

well with a price tag like that you have to really want them in the first place but ye. I didn't forsee dual wielding devastators with jump packs lol
Kappa Smith how many points are they each? With and without weapons?
I have no idea I meant the price as in cost to buy

They look awesome but I agree that it would be cool to have more variety to their poses.

Nice look, I think they look pretty cool
At first I didn't like the big ball helmets unit I realized how they work now I think there really cool
Just so you know they are in gravis armor... Its why they are T5 and slower.
hmm interesting.
Also, technically you can change the legs of the assault marines. Its the torso you cant change, from a certain point of view...

Bit off topic but seen as I have caught you reading the comments have you heard about star wars legion mr supersaiyen? I am looking forward to it.

I'm gonna buy a horde of stormtroopers and play them as imperial guard!
The ones with the welding helmets look pretty cool
I think those welders masks would work great for eradicators.

lmao
The jump packs are awesome I love the flaps

Nice review, but could you repose the arms and add greenstuff cabling (with a greenstuff roller) or are the arms just too static?
oh God green stuff, for standard box sets? Jeez. Nothing stopping people from doing that but you have to be highly skilled with green stuff to make acceptable cables. They could just start designing models with posable options instead of everyone's Primaris looking the same.
Wait, so their plasma weapons are the exact same as plasma cannons but are assault instead of heavy? Powerful.
Well yes at half the range and I made a mistake they are actually 2D3 not D3 so potentially 18 plasma shots.
Is it just that Primaris Marines are dumbed down for the new hobbyists? Is it intended that more advanced hobbyists would collect another army?
Why can’t I have these guys drop from high orbit on top of an enemy and completely pulverize them
have you read the news? will you cover them?
what news?
Necromunda?
I'm getting less and less interested in 40k every new kit both in price and the fact that it's mono build

Sean C which will lead to the bankruptcy of games workshop so no more positives from them like lore.
i was hoping that were gonna be better assault marines as well, as imo mini assault marines (not vanguard vets) are still kinda weak
I really hope this monopose issue doesn't carry over to the death guard models
3 models for £25, I think it does.

Magnificat Organ makes them bigger...the helmets are the same size if that's any indication of simply being bigger beings.
Why not just clip off the cables and pose the dudes how you want
