Connor Forsyth i know that he based them on the black consuls but they arent black consuls he said that his chapter is an blood angel successor black consuls are ultramarines successor
Great review and great army. It’s a superb set of miniatures, IMO. I know find the old ones, or the mini-marines as you call them, almost ridiculous. My apologies to all you space marines fans out there. But being myself a space marine fan and collector as well I find these primaries the space marines I’ve been always expecting to have. Great channel. Keep rocking 👍🏻
I think they dropped the ball with the monopose x 2. A number of yeas ago they did try to do the 10man single pose kits for a while. I remember some Fantasy Empire kits had 10man squads, all with different bodies/legs, 10 different heads, etc... And then tons of bitz. Would really like to see them go back to that. And just release 5 man kits of this Primaris stuff.
i have kinda found a way to make them nearer height to my mini marines, i am gonna put them on MDF bases, not much diff but enough for me, good video as always , keep up the good work
I'm trying to run a Primaris only army myself. I love the figures, they have many different action poses like you said in the video. They actually look like they're going to go fuck someone's day up. The Redemptor is my favorite unit to run since it has all the movable parts! Since it's a Primaris only army I'm not going to lie, it's pretty hard to do considering there aren't many options available to them at the moment. Not sure about the lore fluff either, and I wish they would release more info on the damn Primaris only chapters already >.< Overall they're decent, I just need more info/choices (Fluff and Tabletop) on them!
It’s nice how Gravis armor guys basically all get one more wound. I played them the other day against nids and each aggressor took about 6~10 nids down per turn and kept fighting until turn 4. I really hope they don’t get nerfed
Tbh, the only ones I'm really interested in are the Redemptor and the Inceptors ( I think they would work well as fire support for asault squads ). If they bring out a ( much ) cheaper to buy transport for them I might be interested in the Reivers as well.
Looks like you making progress better than I am. I finished Interceptors, Intercessors, hell blaster, Acaint and LT and capt. Still need to do my reaper, aggressors, Chap, Autho, new Capt and LIB. I have not even put together my tank or dread. Hope to get them on the table next month.
the models are fantastic, im just disappointed with the lack of options for weapons and equipment. also not being able to use OG troop transport with primaris marines is just silly imo
Loving the Chaplain! Still working on my Gravis Captain for (surprise Chapter choice, I know) Dark Angels. You doing anything for Armies on Parade? Custodes maybe 👍🏻
I love the new range, I'm not unhappy with monopose but I expected different rules. Feeling bad about that, makes me think that it's a bad rescaled, especially when we have a completely new codex and models for Death Guard. In comparisson DG is the winner in those terms (rules and models). They just should rescaleted all Space Marine models, add the really new ones (Reivers, Inceptors, Aggressors, Repulsor, Redemptor, Primaris Characters). But I think the farier way to do this could be to ask us, the people who is buying theur stuff. "What do you want? Only new models, rescaled, both?" "What do we do with the background?" It would be legendary and nobody could hate GW for that. Or they could advice us that they are working in new models for SM and that, tell us what we want them to do with those models. Of course that would be a lot of work but man, 40k deserves that. Because...What happens now? We have an army that is not full playable. It's bad their equipment is not to much varied , too dam specialized. I love Reivers but they are condemned to kill hordes and be harassers. Today we have the resouces to do this. Also then, this prices would be justified. (Sorry for my english)
Space marine space marines. Also, are you planning on painting the boltgun casings a different colour than black? I do like black bolter casings but I think it'd add some colour diversity if the casings were red or yellow or something
I like the Primaris Marines but the thing is that i am already sated with them i have the dark imperium boxset reivers a repulsor and the dreadnought. What else do i need? The mini marines do every thing better than the other primaris swuads so no need to buy them
Your first space marine with the edge highlighting is nice. Been trying it myself on my 1st primaris and mine looks awful in comparison. How you managed to get smooth clean edge highlighting? Yeah, same as you, I think the models looks fantastic for space marines, it's what they should have looked like from the beginning imo. Rules wise, honestly not sure as I've only recently got back into Warhammer 40k with the first strike box set. So collecting for modelling/painting atm. Would you recommend getting the Dark imperium box set instead of the way you did it for a better deal? Loving the army though, they look great.
I bought the essential set to paint my dark imperium set but on warhammer tv duncan's pint list is so different. Now i dont know what to paint anymore.. help!!
cuong do The Duncan videos show how to paint models in a tonne of detail but the 'essential paints' set are just the paints to paint a model to tabletop standard. Generally, what you want to do to paint a marine with it is pick a colour to use as the main armour, for ultramarines it would be macragge blue, then paint all the blue armour segments. Then you'll want to paint the trim of their shoulders (ultramarines use the shoulder trip to show a marines company so I'm sure any will be fine but I suggest Balthasar Gold). Next, get the Leadbelcher and (silver) and use it to paint the metal parts, such as swords, parts of the boltgun. Use Abbadon Black to paint the bolter casing and joints. If your painting ultramarines, paint the helmet with the Mephiston Red for sergeants and Ceramite White for officers. Paint the lenses red. Finally you can shade with Agrax Earthshade. Hope this helped you atleast a little :D EDIT: Also, use Mournfang brown to paint the little holdster and bag maguffins on their belts and Rakarth Flesh for their skin
+Eternal Animations wow this is super helpful!!! Thank you so much! I got so confused when they dont use balthasa gold in warhammer tv and use other color. Also, is the screamer pink and pink horror more suitable for death guard?
cuong do No problem :) If you want to add some more paints to your collection, then I would suggest getting paints for edge highlighting. Edge highlighting paints will just be a brighter colour of layer paint that you apply to the edges of your miniature. If your painting ultramarines, I'd suggest getting 'Calgar Blue' to edge highlight the blue, 'Eshin Grey' to edge highlight the blacks, 'Ghehnna's gold' to edge highlight the Gold and 'Evil Sunz Scarlet' to edge highlight the reds. Also, I don't quite think I understand your question on the pinks, there aren't any in the set are there? Pinks would probably go best with doing the tentacles on the Death Guard
i agree they are awesome models shame about the transport rule. i cant wait until i can afford them. currently i only have dark imperium and first strike box set
Sup3rSaiy3n are you saying you've never painted a librarian in your army blue? If that's so, I was wondering why not? If you're saying you're not finished and are going to paint them blue then that answers it.
Fixed poses and the price lost me completely :( Same goes for Age of Sigmar, fixed poses as well. I get that you want to keep 3rd party's parts away etc but fuck me you will loose a quite a decent amount of customers away. After all it is a crafty hobby. My 2c
One activated some sort of cloaking device @3:10
Nah i think he just got picked up bruh
Haha
Keep telling yourself that. Soon the cloak-reivers will be upon you.
Could we get an update 🙏 would love to see a part two
Looking great. Your videos are litterally what go me into the hobby
MiniNinjai same here
Can you do a lore video on your chapter?
Imperator titan: Ira I'd love to see that too
There the Black Consuls, just google them
Connor Forsyth i know that he based them on the black consuls but they arent black consuls he said that his chapter is an blood angel successor black consuls are ultramarines successor
Where did he say that? I've only seen him say its Black Consuls
i dont rember look thourgh the army overviews and some of the blood angel unboxings
What a stylish colour scheme though. I wish they all were painted for the shot

I have a squad of the old 25mm base terminators and the poor buggers look tiny next to my primaris units.
i have kinda found a way to make them nearer height to my mini marines, i am gonna put them on MDF bases, not much diff but enough for me, good video as always , keep up the good work

Krilgo1 Doing this myself. I chose the Fulminators chapter.
Jason Egan I was thinking of doing Fulminators as well but can't bring myself to choose them yet cause I don't have enough lore to go on :/
It’s nice how Gravis armor guys basically all get one more wound. I played them the other day against nids and each aggressor took about 6~10 nids down per turn and kept fighting until turn 4. I really hope they don’t get nerfed

nice paint job and chapter colors.
i love chaplain! long time no see super! nice video... i wanna have my own chaplain too!
Thank you for the video
Nice video as always!
Really like these Mile stone range reviews for primaris. Will you do another after the space marine codex drops next month?
Cool stuff mate, they make the mini marines look mini lol
the models are fantastic, im just disappointed with the lack of options for weapons and equipment. also not being able to use OG troop transport with primaris marines is just silly imo
The only reason i have a few primaris marines is because of the size of them. They feel like a space marine size
Is it just me or does it look like most of the Primaris marines are in terminator armor?
Loving the Chaplain! Still working on my Gravis Captain for (surprise Chapter choice, I know) Dark Angels. You doing anything for Armies on Parade? Custodes maybe 👍🏻
How are they looking now including the vanguard marines would like to see all released update.
I don't know if you've tried, but can you put two shoulderpads on the reivers using their own arms?
I love the new range, I'm not unhappy with monopose but I expected different rules. Space marine space marines.

Eternal Animations Yeah I was thinking of red like my others.

nice scheme, is that black consuls?
LanthorEclipse I'm curious as well. Been wanting to paint some myself.
I hope so, a good chapter to reinvigorate with Primaris marines
Harrison Broomfield Definitely.
It's black legion... ;)
I think Hammers of Dorn
Still don't know how to feel about them. I hate the concept, but I like most of the models...
I bought the essential set to paint my dark imperium set but on warhammer tv duncan's pint list is so different.

+Eternal Animations the pink is from the warhammer tv guide
Can i use the vallejo pink equivalents for edge high light as wash?
i agree they are awesome models shame about the transport rule. i cant wait until i can afford them. currently i only have dark imperium and first strike box set
That space marine if a magican
I'm curious as to why your chapters librarians aren't blue.
James Small ?? I'm yet to paint them blue...
Sup3rSaiy3n isn't the character between the gravis captain and chaplain a librarian?
Doesn't matter to me, anyone can obviously paint their army any way they want I was just curious.
James Small I don't know how it's difficult to understand so I'll repeat....I'm yet to paint them blue.
Sup3rSaiy3n are you saying you've never painted a librarian in your army blue? If that's so, I was wondering why not? If you're saying you're not finished and are going to paint them blue then that answers it.
Now the Primaris are down to 18pts each, much better imho, but they are still worse than old marines stat wise atm :(
Maxtuss11 Don’t forget the transport restrictions too.
They need new units and vehicles. They can be overspecialised but they need the roles filled to do that.
Very nice
Fixed poses and the price lost me completely :( Same goes for Age of Sigmar, fixed poses as well. I get that you want to keep 3rd party's parts away etc but fuck me you will loose a quite a decent amount of customers away. After all it is a crafty hobby. My 2c
Would definitely agree with the fixed poses. I basically don't care about pricing that much as I paint slowly but the fixed posed put me right off.
Awesome!!!!
I really don't like the lore, but if they were released simply as updated true scale marines then I would be fine with it
Just righT exactly >__>
I liked that, as you can still old your old models
If space marines would have lookt like theeasfrom the start i would have beean in
3:10
Anybody watching In 2020
They seem like a cash grab with the silly pricing and limitations of transport. I wouldn't encourage anyone to buy them.
Deathwatch models are truescale.
