Thank you! Works great now. FYI I used a dental pick to push in the hole. Just reset maintenance hours, heat back on. I cleaned my air filter, most drivers don't know where, or how, to clean the air filters on these.
Thanks for this. Just got this company truck . They had me pick it up in Dallas to bring to my home terminal for service and detailing but I'm super for the night and I'm freezing.
FYI for everyone. When the Espar heater says "maintenance required" it just needs serviced. Ignitor and screen. You can do this reset, but you're just bypassing a simple service requirement. You should still get it serviced or you'll have more problems later.
I have a 2024 Freightliner Cascadia and after following your advice unfortunately it still shows the maintenance required message. It showed no active codes no actual repairs needed something like that. Is there another way for these newer models to reset?
Not sure about the 2024's. Unusually it's the ignitor or burner screen that gets clogged if it doesn't reset. If you find out post your solution here so others will know. Sounds off if it says no codes and no service needed.
2020 Crapcadia Penske 5 year lease just had it serviced but you think they could reset the maintenance required message?? naaaa Thanks google/youtube and YOU for uploading a short simple exactly what I needed video 😎 winter is coming 🥶
Also even though it said maintenance required it would still work… now it finally decided not to work. It still try’s to start up but won’t complete the cycle.
Of I remember correctly at that point it needs repairs. Usually the ignitor or sensor itself. Depends on the fault codes that come up under that program
The codes as in connected to a computer with the right software for diagnostics. 90% of the time it's the sensor or the ignitor. Another suggestion that sometimes works is disconnect the batteries for 15-20 minutes to completely reset everything then do the reset again. But again that literally resets Everything for the most part in the entire truck sadly. It's a simple system only a blower motor, ignitor and sensor. Supplied with fuel from the fuel tank and an exhaust.
Not sure what that is. Might have to connect to the PC to verify the issue.wish I can help with that. Might be able to do the same thing except go to fault codes and reset and see if it comes back. Sometimes sensors only trip once for some stupid shit and all you have to do is clear them. Best of luck
You saved me a night of suffering through 19F temps. Thank you sir
Thank you very much Sir. 🙏 you saved me from this Pittsburgh cold night 😅
Thanks brother. Used this video two years ago used it again today. Lol. Gotta love UA-cam and good drivers!
Glad I watched this and didn't overreact to the error message and try to get it serviced. Thanks man.
Thanks Brother ,just cancelled appointment for maintenance after watching your video.

Can you please tell me where the air filter is? Thanks

True. Filter and igniter should be cleaned
@@shadowmafiaparanormal6642 It's definitely a good bypass to get a driver through a cold night, but just don't ignore the maintenance requirement.
Exactly. And primarily what these videos are for. A lot of these systems shut down when they need them the most and not when they don't.
Thanks bro

Awesome, thanks.
Saved me winter 2024
I do all that and it comes back up maintenance required again. I did it a few times same thing.
Also even though it said maintenance required it would still work… now it finally decided not to work. It still try’s to start up but won’t complete the cycle.
More then like the screen is clogged or the ignitor coil. Not a hard fix just a bit of time
Bro you saved me 👍
Woow thank you
Appreciate bro
That was the easiest fix on this cascadia that I have ever had. Thank you

@@shadowmafiaparanormal6642 This screen doesn't show the Code. Show ready and stopped.

Mine keeps saying check heater in the codes section it has a number 12 ?

Nope. This ain't it. Still getting the maintenance required message after your instructions.
Some rarities you'll get this code for injector failure, fuel pressure and or for the screen being plugged.
why in the hell did u take a narrow video
I had to use my phone camera for this. To small of a space for a normal camcorder
Thanks
Thank you
Thanks man.
Thanks bro
Thanks
