Mine was showing the “no flame detected” then I turned it off and checked around the bunk heater but there was nothing obstructing it, did give it some taps with my flashlight and tried again, it started working
I've been trying to look up solutions for the espar heater in my truck. I've tried resetting it, checked the fuse panel, the compartment it's in is void of anything except the heater.. All the wire connections and lines going into it look fine. Must be something wrong on the inside, I've had so many warranty and quality control issues with this 24' Freightliner it's ridiculous.. Glad it's a company truck and not mine lol.
Well... I feel dumb. But that fixed it lol. Pulled over last night to help a lady on the side of the road with a flat and in my hurry to find duck tape under my bed I tossed stuff on the vents. Moved it all out of the way started my truck for a few minutes to disengage the Espar turned the truck off heater fired right up
Like we said in the video, this "could" be an issue that is super easy to check for. Probably the most common thing that causes this is your glow pin and screen need to be replaced. We run into that regularly and have to replace them often, just like the filters on your engine
Wow I was just having this issue and I'm pretty good about keeping things away from the heater part. It was a few wires in the way moved them and it fired right up.
Prime it multiple times when brand new Watch for pump ticking…takes at least few times and probably more than 10-20 minutes to make it work. Be patient and shut it down and wait like 20 seconds and start it again until it work. Do not dismantle anything and start it over and over for possible from control center or thermostat or display temp….etc Terms are confusing Watch the fuel line for fuel going to the unit or heater or to the burning chamber. Again be patient and don’t dismantle anything when brand new. Make sure with a visual inspection that no leaks are present and fuel is present on fuel line and enough fuel for the main source. If necessary remove the fuse from main source for about 20 seconds and restart everything from control unit, thermostat or whatever you called it displaying temp. Good luck…I doubt its something wrong with anything besides fuel going to the unit. Espar is the cream of the pie and very best of the best.
@@MAXED-TRUCKING It should work…I installed so far 3 brand new in 3 different trucks. Every single worked the way I described above. Let me know either way…I know this units even in my dreams 😜
@@MAXED-TRUCKING Remove the fuse from the battery and let it sit a little and put it back. If is a brand new unit it should work…the thermostat should clear any given code while you removed the fuse. If is a used unit call the Espar phone number….they are great in support. Did you installed your self as brand new?
@@MAXED-TRUCKING Just a reminder that the unit ECU takes command from your thermostat and so is the pump. Did the thermostat give you any codes? What kind of thermostat you got? Wires color should be respected according to installation book provided by Espar…also available on line. This should be very easy since not much could go wrong. Even the fuel pump is connected with 2 wires…even if reverse wires it will work the same.
ONE YEAR LATER AND YOU VIDEO IS STILL HELPING OTHERS ... THANKYOU I JUST MOVED THE STUFF AND IT LIT RIGHT UP
They really didn’t know you couldn’t block that vent 🤔 Wow. Guess this video helped someone
I have a brand new freightliner with nothing under my bed and the very first time I went to fire it up.. no flame.
Same….

Nah. I have nothing packed around mine. Maybe the pilot light went out? Was really windy here.
Well they don't have a pilot light. It is a glow pin and screen that often needs to be changed.
