I just got a BRAND NEW (less then 5000 miles) truck this morning. After stopping for my 10 hour sleeper berth and the heater kept shutting off I called the after hours shop and they sent me the link to this video. THANKS for making this video, even 8 years after posting it it's STILL relevant and helpful!

After sleeping in a freezing temperature for 5 good days because my bunk heater was showing maintenance required and wouldn't work. I finally came across this video. I followed the instructions he gave and that was it. My bunk heater came back to life. Thank you so much. You saved me money and headaches.

My batteries went dead a week ago on my 2020 Cascadia and my Espar reset to factory settings and wouldn’t run more than a few minutes. Thanks to you I had a warm nights sleep last night.

Thanks for this video!driving a 2019 Freightliner, and the heater only ran for 7 or 8 minutes. The low-voltage shutdown was already set to 11.4, but this machine let me lower it to 10.8 volts. I was also able to increase the run time to 24 hours. Thanks a lot!

Killer video. After owning my 2015 Crapscadia for 3 years I went through the bunk heater replacing the igniter and screen along with the gaskets and low voltage would pop up after 7-8 mins. This video is a life saver.

Nice! I called the maintenance department and asked them how to reset the darn thing and they said they didn’t know YOU GOTTA BRING IT IN 😒 I gotta loose mikes and sit in line at the shop just for you to push a button. I’ve been freezing for the last month forcing me to idle the truck which they yell at me about. It’s amazing what we pay rookies to do.

So glad I found this video as winter kicks in and I'm driving a older 2019 truck but had this issue before thinking it was a battery low after being towed at night with park lights on. Tried my bunk heater again today and same thing low voltage shutdown but it's 24 degrees in Iowa so I didn't wanna freeze and optimized idle won't always start up when it's ambient temps. This video is a life saver thank you!

Thanks for this. I hated sitting in the winter on a 34 hr reset and having to remember to turn that thing off and on again. Mine had a time setting of unlimited so that’s what I set it to. That way it won’t turn off again.

I kept getting the “Flame Lost” message and the heater would shut off so quick. I was freezing.
I looked up videos and they said the bunk heater intake was probably blocked but it definitely isn’t. I just reset it now the heater works properly, thank you.

So update. The next night the bunk heat did the 10 min run then shut off. So I did some more research I read another trucker say their APU is separate from the bunk heater. So I assumed maybe the bunk heater was draining my batteries or something. So I ran the bunk heater and the APU at the same time. Even though the APU is only AC I just turned the 1st knob to the squiggly lines and the 2nd knob to the red. After about 20-30mins something started beeping. I turned both off. The beeping stop. I turn the bunk heater back on and holy grail, It hasn't cut off for the last 3 days. I guess the APU charged it or something. Don't know don't care. It works all night now. ☀️🔥🤗
