I turned the “conversation awareness” off almost immediately. Started singing along and it dropped the music - no, I do not want to hear my awful voice, thank you! 😂
Hopefully Apple will figure out a way to intelligently map “conversation audio” vs “trying to sing along to a track audio” because it’s not ideal to have conversation awareness on 100% of the time even though the feature is so helpful
@@Paldeanbut then what’s the point. If it’s supposed to be adaptive, it should learn the difference between conversation and singing, hence the OP saying they hope it happens in the future. Duh.
Adaptive is so great for office use. Listening to relaxing music while still maintaining awareness and being able to respond to a conversation. Brilliant.
I have used it in a couple of settings now: at the airport and on the street in the city. At the airport, I wish it had a feature that would unmute when another person (like the flight attendant) starts to speak to me, instead of unmuting when I start speaking with conversation awareness. In the city, I think adaptive noise control works great, and it is much better to have some of my senses than with noise cancellation alone. With conversation awareness in the future, it would be nice if it could recognize my voice so that it does not trigger conversation awareness when I am just singing lyrics. Just needs minor tweaking.
I love the straightforward approach. No bullshit B-roll, subscribe animations, and stuff like that. Very nice. I lost both my AirPods (forgot them in a hotel) and just bought a new pair yesterday, after upgrading to iOS17, It had more features, so I searched on UA-cam for recent changes :) I thought I bought a newer version I had never heard of. Turns out I lost them on iOS16 and bought new ones on iOS17 :) Thank you!
Thanks for this. I turned on the option to automatically lower volume when I speak, which seems like a great idea but was maddening when singing to a good song. Typing AirPods in search settings didn’t pull up these options. I didn’t realize it was right on top.
It’s a great feature as when you are having a conversation it will turn the volume right down automatically so that when you are talking you can hear yourself more and not just the person your talking to
I used adaptive mode at the gym. It kept surrounding sounds way too loud. I could hear both the song I played and the song they played in the gym. I quickly switched back to good old noise cancelling.
Comparing it to Sony, I have the original link buds to use at work because they're basically open back, so I can talk naturally with them on when I have to answer a phone or radio: Does the conversation mode engage every time you clear your throat, no matter how lightly you do it? And can it distinguish the difference between ambient noise and a slight breeze? 2 problems the link buds have. I can't even use auto volume outside, because a brisk walk will go full volume from wind on the mic hole. I'm also curious how reliable the mics are, because my original APP's couldn't do transparency after a year. It's a very faint difference when turning it on, cleaning the mics helped marginally, and they're placed right where you have to handle the buds, so they're always picking up grime and oils. I'm still on the fence about getting new ones, since most of the features rely on the mics.
I just bought my airpods 2 days ago and I’m confused, doesn’t adaptive transparency also reduce loud sounds? So what’s why is “reduce loud sounds” new exactly?
This is awesome!!! Great video. Got the new USB version coming with the iPhone 15 pro max tomorrow! Extra stoked now that all the features have been added
Hi, can the latest Airpod Pro 2 still be used as a hearing aid for mild/medium hearing loss people? If yes, it what ways has it been improved compared to the previous version? Thanks.
Bought my AirPods yesterday and already got an update, the new adaptive feature is really nice tbh, I can talk with people while not hearing parasite sounds.
is there a way to turn up AirPods Pro 2 microphone Volume up? people can't hear me when I'm wearing them. and does Noise cancellation affect it as well?
Yesterday it is raining at my home and while i was talking to my mom, i turned on adaptive mode and god its like magic, the rain become quiet and my mom’s voice just sounds like normal
The adaptive audio works just the same as having it set to off when i am at the gym and i normally switch to adaptive to talk with people and then switch back to noise cancellation
Brother, I bought one air pod last week,& theres some issues with the find my . i couldn't access the location of air pods in App, is it any hardware issue or something.? find my is telling like the setup is incomplete. Can u help me
thanks i kept loud reduction on, and i use my airpod pro 2nd gen in gym session and the sound from the speaker did during conversation toggle on with me talking to my friend and then volumn won't go up, now i now i have to switch this off.
😱 how much do we need to keep up and keep updating ourselves to use these devices. I have a Jabra elite 85t it’s great and will update if Apple can come with one cohesive upgrade so I don’t need to update for each device
Dog walking mode would also be nice, when I give commands to my dog like wait or sit or who's a good boy or scratchy scratchy, the volume also lowers for 10 or 20 seconds.
Does the adptive mode works if i have an andriod as well as conversation awareness my sister have an iphone i can just pair my airpod to her iphone and toggle it on will it work?
I have noticed since the recent Airpods Pro 2nd gen update when I first insert my airpods the phone would reduce the volume to very low and not adjust it back up
awareness is a great idea with the exception if you're listening to a book or podcast, when it lowers the volume for you to talk to someone the program you were listening to keeps progressing. So when you stop talking you have to back up what you are playing so that you can hear what you missed
adaptive noise control sounds the same as transparency for me :( I thought it be block out the annoying commercial refrigerator sound but it doesnt even block out the small desk fan next to me
On the pro 2 human voice, ambulance and police noice goes through even in noice cancellation mode. Only one usefull feature is to make music level down when you start speaking, so you can continue conversation
Does anyone is having a issue with airpod pro 2nd generation after , 17 if volume reduced to less than 5, after reducing the volume less than 5% it is getting completely silent
Question how do I get both the Adaptive Audio & Conversion Awareness modes? I have an iPhone 11 running on the lastest IOS and I have the first Gen AirPods Pro. Do I need to upgrade to the AirPods Pro 2 with the USB-C port??
I have a question Why when my friend opens his AirPods box it’s picked up in my iPhone Is it a general problem or does it have a solution? And is this problem in AirTag too?

Hi there! Tell me if u noticed that after updating to iOS 17 the AirPods Pro 2 are not the same like the volume and the bass of music is not that loud like before. Before the update the sound was loud and great but now not that much.
Hi. Personalized volume is the only feature that I didn’t activated when I updated to iOS 17 in rest all are active. But I hope in the next update of AirPods, Apple will solve this issue.
Are these new features only on an updated version of AirPods Pro 2 (with usb c)? I have AirPods Pro 2 old version and after updating to iOS 17 these new features are not available…
Yeah they are on AirPod 2 with lightning cable. Once the update to 6A301. Pop them in while on WiFi, play music for a few seconds, then put them back in the case and charge them. Should update while charging. Mine did , used adaptive audio today. Sounded like transparency mode while walking but when I got near a busy street it significantly lowered the traffic noise. Pretty awesome
My AirPods Pro one no longer gives me the noise cancellation that I used to enjoy. I know this because I go to the gym all the time and the noise cancellation always drowned out the music in the background. Now it doesn't do a very good job at noise cancellation at all. I wonder if the update downgraded the noise cancellation, so that we can buy new headphones

Yes i thought i broke them but the left AirPods have been doing the same thing as how you stated, maybe its a bug of selective few because it seems that majority of the people are loving the update with the AirPods.
It’s funny because I have the iPhone 11 and I updated to iOS 17 immediately when it came out. I updated all of my devices. But for some reason I am noticing that I don’t have a lot of these features. Weird.
After the 6A301 update for AirPods Pro 2, I’m getting an intermittent sound imbalance issue with spatial audio turned off as well, with the right side being louder. Anyone experiencing the same?
