not real. sorry bud. joking aside, i sure hope they ain't increasing the spawn frequency. it has to stay special. also, for the love of god please lower skelly ship spawns (the underwater ones). the last few sessions i have been fighting these annoying idiots aaaaall the time. they're alright once in a while but now there's more skelly ships spawning than there are players.

FUN FACT: Belle on a buoy is a callback to an early concept. She was going to do the job merfolk do now. When you fell from your ship, she would appear with her buoy and escort you to your ship.

@@harryhughes6124 By all means, Belle technically is a Pirate Lord, and not just because of the similar clothing. Someone who can talk back to the Pirate Lord and address him as Ramsey, is someone who demands respect.
@@kingcamelot1395 I agree but what I meant was that when you reach PL and visit the Hideout, it used to be Belle who sat in the chair and gave you the Athena voyages. It was changed to be Ramsey for some reason. But in terms of status, she is as you said also a Pirate Lord.

I also feel like him saying "those who came before knew better." has double meaning. it seems he might be referring to the Ancients based on the drawings, but he could also be talking about the Hungering One, and the Pirate's who helped him kill it in the Hungering Deep. They'd be the ones who "came before", who "knew better" enough to trust old Merrick when he tells you a big shark story.
I love how well animated these are, and the voice acting is great aswell!

@@kailanirhys6107 Cry me a river, there has been time limited content since the Cursed Sails, the adventure rewards are hardly something you should cry about if you miss the, its literally a single item and a title, lorewise you can easily catch up on youtube and or the adventure page in game. The adventures are so small it really doesnt effect anything if you miss them, personally I despise drip feeding the content more than a small time limited events. But that's just a personal opinion.

I love how these trailers ALWAYS takes early concepts and puts them in the video. Ramsey talking in the tavern of the damned and Belle on a buoy ETC. Awesome callbacks.
I had the honor of joining eight other players on the sea just now to go sail together and play becalmed at glitterbeards tree. The hands down greatest moment on all the seas for me and I couldn't be happier. Amazing tribute.

As a hunter who rocks shrouded ghost hunting stuff all the time, I am pumped!
Im hoping this doesn't change how rare the Shrouded Ghost title is. It was always cool meeting one of the few people who actually had it and it gave us something to actually look forward to randomly finding.
But remember only 1 to 2 crews get him each day it wouldn't kill it if it was on each server

Merrick is by far the greatest character in the SoT cinematic universe from his introduction to today he has been my favourite character. So glad we get some new content with him :D

Well You Gotta Realize Too You Have To Figure Out How To Deal With The Other Players In The Server…If Your In A Cut Scene What Happens If A Crew Comes And Attacks Your Ship? Are You Invincible During The Scene As Well As Your Ship Or Can You Be Killed? Most You Can Do Is Box The Player Off From The World Like The Pirates Life Tall Tales Did So You Can Make Room For Animations Without Interruption.
They said on one of the podcasts that they're trying to find a way to implement video files into the game so that cutscenes can play out like this

Definitely enjoy having more lore behind the Shrouded Ghost. I was fortunate enough to get Shrouded as a solo sloop and defeat it. Remember, a meg won't spawn if you are near rocks, islands, outposts, etc. So even though I read a lot of people say, "I've played for X amount of years, sailed X million amount of miles etc." You should be asking yourself how many of those years/miles you've spent sailing between rocks, islands, outposts? I wasn't in the middle of nowhere when mine spawned, but my point is that to increase the chances of meg encounters, make sure you are satisfying the requirements for a spawn to begin with. Of course I'm about to get flooded with this response, "Wrong, I sailed X million miles and X days in the middle of nowhere and it still didn't spawn." My auto-response to that is with such a low spawn rate, you just need to sail more, and/or create more opportunities for meg encounters to not get blocked/despawn. Also, ANCHOR your boats when any meg spawns. Why? If you keep moving you increase the chances of running into rocks, islands, etc and for the meg to despawn. When mine spawned, I was between a fort (completed FoF) and an outpost (Sanctuary). If I would have kept moving, he would have despawned within 10 seconds for being too close to an outpost. Happy Hunting hope you find it this week!

The game keeps evolving which is what has kept me playing all these years. I have yet to go more than 3 days without being on the seas. I love the constant new content that keeps it fresh for the people who actually enjoy playing the game as opposed to making it call of duty. This is exciting, now if they can just back up and fix the worst connections in games history’s and deal with rubber banding and ping spikes. Get rid of sea forts and eliminate all those issues. Or at least update us with the plans on fixing that. Fixing rubber banding and having a smooth game play will be your best update ever. That is what will draw people in. Sorry for being so cryptical about this.

Should the "It moves between the worlds." Be taken literally for the shrouded ghost?
Like it can move between the sea of thieves and the sea of the damned?
It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities to be honest, and considering just how rare the shrouded ghost is, it being able to move between both the SoT and SoTD makes it all the more powerful and intimidating.
It does with the power of the veil so if they want to be lore accurate we will se mir shrouded gohsts after this

This adventure was something else. I hope Rare decides to bring this back in a future update cuz the fight against the Shrouded was so much fun and just chaotic. Just the way I like my pirate games
I just love that Belle is in all of them. I love she is actually in the game and is a huge part in the story. She is my second favorite character

No
I do, yes. Its features the community has been asking for years now. You can see already in game they updated a lot of the ports with new things that look like tools and whatnot that will allow for customization, and as far as nameplates and naming your ship, the codes in the game already thats why sometimes from a distance, it glitches and you can see um on players ships.

Hungering deep was a 1 and done event, literally no reason to replay. So I dunno about an "amazing new update" it is just a small part of the story weve been doing with Belle. This isnt a proper update just a continuation of this time limited drip fed story

Yet the chance of seeing 1 is literally 0.01% as they said in a podcast. People could play religiously since day 1 and yet still never see or kill it.

My pirate with hunter's call and the wailing barnacle set: Finally a worthy opponent.
Please just don’t just make the shrouded ghost something you get through a story mission.
I personally have never seen it but it’s one of those things that should just be left sacred.
At least this is something that will be flexed on after a couple years since it will only be for two weeks and you can show off whatever cosmetic comes with completing the mission which is different than just coming across it
You will not get the title for the mision just by chance encounter
