The Reapers have to be offering one hell of a reward for not rebuilding Golden Sands because at this point in time I want it rebuilt because having to sail to another outpost when I’m so close to Golden Sands is annoying
Edit: I can say with confidence that I am gonna side with rebuilding Golden Sands because the alternative is gaining some goofy ass lantern and have Golden Sands be useless.
And to those saying that it will become a second Reapers Hideout, that would completely invalidate the whole point of there being only one Reapers Hideout. The reason there is only one place to turn in for Reapers is that it is a risk vs reward so if people see a Reaper emissary they know that sooner or later they will have to turn in at the hideout. All making golden sands a second hideout would do is make things easier for the Reaper runners and alliance servers

The first true update that I truly got into this game was when Merrick was first introduced. He guided me on how to kill a Meg. I stand with Merrick and the golden outpost!
Rebuilding golden sands better than ever could be extremely cool! Also I wonder if that means if it gets rebuilt that The Hunters Call will get an update.
It desperately needs one. I think it would (at the very least) need some missions.
Maybe one where you use a compass to track down a meg? Maybe one where you dive into some ancient caverns to fight a kraken or steal a treasure it's guarding?

I kinda want to see Golden Sands restored from a convenience standpoint, but from a story standpoint, I want to see it in ruins or even made into a reaper base to show that Flameheart is a threat. If it goes back to normal, it only shows that there are no consequences to Flameheart's plans. If he changes nothing, why have him as an antagonist?
That being said, I would like the fog to go away.
Fog will go away after this adventures over. The dev’s won’t destroy it. Even as natural level 75 reaper If Rare says it’ll be destroyed I’ll stand with merrick. It’ll probably be turned into a reapers base

Time to rebuild! It's one of my favorite islands and we need it so we can turn in loot easier.
I'm choosing to rebuild just because if we do get a '2nd reapers hideout' of sorts, that would only benefit PvE reapers.

Reapers hideout and golden sands are to close to each other for that to be useful. Siding with merrick might give us a hunters call update which is surely more useful and needed.

I for one will be defending Golden sands, its where I first spawned in when I started playing, also having golden sands closed makes doing my cargo runs a pain as there's always a commodity I cant sell for max profit as it would have been sought after at GS.

I don't think we need reapers having another place to sell when being a reaper 5 already gives you so much information about the other players in the server. They need to play around having their already central location in the map and well take our outpost back so there's no longer a dead-zone for selling in shores

I've had to deal with people camping reapers and then playing a defensive PvP style. I'm fine with fighting for the loot, but they run until we try to sell and then come back.
If the reapers need to have a second place, they need one in the devil's roar.
Gameplay wise it makes sense if your voyage is on devil's roar and have to go all the way back.
Lore wise it makes sense cause cmon its flameheart were talking about
Plus not getting stuck spawning there after your ship sinks. Don't recommend it.

Merrick is the homie. I got the game 2 months after it came out and so my first DLC was with Merrick and the meg. I was always the crew member that carried his song to summon the original one so I feel deeply compelled to side with him always. That and I'll be damned before I let the Reapers win.

I'm neutral in this. On one hand I want to see Golden Sands restored. On the other I want to see what happens if it's not. So I'll be happy whatever the outcome!

Anyone I see using mementos for helping reapers from this adventure will be spawn camped every time I see them, no questions asked, until the end of time.
