the ring seems awsome and i was waiting for the 3rd gen before getting one
but i realized they had subscription fee if you get one
just because of that i rather stick with my smartwatch for now
Thank you for this helpful interview. I just ordered my first Oura ring ! Hoping it help be with better longer healthier sleep 😴😴😴
I expected the gripe to be the subscription fees. I will DEFINITELY buy one once they drop that.
I didn’t realize you could wear it all day to track more than just sleep … very cool. And makes it more worthwhile
That's pretty cool! Will definitely keep my eye out for this on Bakcj Friday 2022 😁
Thanks for the love Tom! We are glad Caroline was able to chat with you!
Loved chatting with you all!
Hi guys hoping for some feed back on why my ring didn't detect my hot yoga session this morning. Love it for all other functions!
I've always been interested in one of these.
So interesting!!
Hello, do you need to pay a monthly fee to see the functions in 4:18 and 4:23 in your video?
So with this impossible make bodybuilding (of course amateur not pro …but stil heavy weight
Tnx
I have wanted a Oura ring since I first heard of them years ago so I could better manage my chronic migraine & other health issues. The price is the main obstacle for a single-income husband & father of nine. The only other issue that he does mention is most of my training is kettlebell, barbell training as well as Muay Thai & Jiu-Jitsu where jewelry is a no-no. I still feel other than that an Oura ring or similar device could truly be life-changing/improving for me & therefore my family so I wish there was one I could afford.
There are cheaper devices bro. And 9 children man hahahahaha. That is just crazy hope they will help you out once they grow up.
9 kids and single. You are a glutton for punishment
How do you have money for all of your training but don’t have money to invest in your health smh
@@henry2008ismtraining is a bigger investment in health than tracking without training. Seriously...
Buy a used one
I've had the Oura ring since mid January 2022 and I've fallen madly in love with it!
It detects hiking running and walking with great accuracy.
However I was disappointed this morning when I did hot yoga for the first time in a while and discovered it did not pick up any data from the intense workout. It claimed I burnt way more calories on my casual walk with the pups this morning. Anyone have feed back for this??
That's a great question, Alison! And, glad you've found it to be so beneficial overall.
Why you think its accurate? Activies are totally not accurate, same as steps. And your ring works also offline, it has memory :)
Cool!
Hello, Can you help me please find a reseller in the US, I would like to buy a few rings but can't quite find someone's email to contact for the ring. if you could help me it would be appreciated.
Thank you!
Is it waterproof?
Hello, i have a question how can you have 100+ HRV??? Can you tell us what you doing? I have max 20
That's a great question. From everything Oura (and other sleep tracking companies) tells us, HRV is a very personal number to you, and there isn't a number that's necessarily "better" or "worse"; only a number that's higher or lower in relation to your baseline. So keep doing what you're doing, and just pay attention to the behaviors that impact those days where you have a higher HRV!
Unfortunately, it's not as accurate as the Apple watch for sleep tracking and it's soooo easy to lose. I lost mine after it fell off my finger...
Is there any way to turn off the Bluetooth during the night?
Not from the device itself, unfortunately! It needs that connection to send data to and from your phone.
I can understand the reason for subscription for smart watches because of their capability and usage. But for something that has less capability and features that are not fully integrated yet such as Workout Heart Rate or blood oxygen measurements which they claim will be end of 2022. The subscription is a no for me. I will continue to use my apple watch.
That's a fair critique, Eric. In our experience, the Oura does offer a better suite of data on your sleep and sleep stages than the Apple Watch, so you could think about them as complementary devices.
If you lose a bunch of weight what then? Weight loss smaller finger???
To Tom: With doing crossfit-like workouts, what is your daily driver in terms of fitnesstrackers?
Good question! A response from Tom: "I really do enjoy the overall vibe of Oura and the Oura app, but I have found that the Whoop fits my lifestyle a little better. It tends to get out of the way when I'm doing those CrossFit-like workouts with barbells and pull-up bars."
@@SleepIsTheFoundation Thanks Tom!
I wonder what the Oura app would think about my solid 12 hours of sleep per night 😂
A+ in sleep!
I'm a rock climber and the Ring was terrible for me. I HATED wearing it while climbing...
Compared to a polisomnograph, the Applewatch is better at tracking sleep.
So it's just a fitbit but a ring
151hrv seems a bit off for your age
HRV is a tricky number, as it's incredibly personal to every individual. Stay tuned for a more robust explanation of HRV and how it helps us better interpret/calibrate our sleep.
I love my Oura ring! My two cents only but the subscription is quite a deal compared to other smart devices' subscriptions. So much more comfortable than smart watches/bands. Plus it tackles a more holistic and wellness approach compared to other smart devices, which is better for activity. The cycle tracking and battery life is super awesome! And another interesting thing is it detects illness before you feel anything. You can actually protect its beauty without sacrificing biometrics and comfort with an OSleeve.
Ure everywhere about oura ring
Yea just an expensive sleep tracker with a forced subscription based model. Not for me!
It's 300 euro PLUS you have to pay for a monthly mempership.... What a load of rubbish
I get ya need sponsor money.. but this sleep tracker, when tested against other sleep trackers, it doesn’t break the top 5. Check out The Quantified Scientist. His review is actually trustworthy 👍🏼
