I agree with her in some points but the problem is that when you say anything people who hate islam try to take advantage out of you so they can diss islam and preach for their religions.
All Palestinians and Palestine are southern Syria they divided and conquered us , there were no Arab Palestinians until the plo invented the term . The Arabs of the Levant are all Syrian, we should all reunite to bring back greater Syria
Aroub, what an amazing young lady! having the balls to question the logic behind some of islamic religious views. Keep questioning! Information and determination will eventualy bring you answers (or not, but questioning means awerenes and that is more important than answers).
Aroub l think you are a highly intelligent and sweet girl/young woman. You remind me of my teenage son and myself 40 years ago. He is also always asking why questions about everything. He started when he was two years old and never stopped since. He drove me nuts sometimes but in a good way :) I wish you the best of luck with your studying. Never change you way of critical thinking and you will achieve a lot in life. One question: At what age do you learn english?
anfr Mathew 19:5-9: And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? 8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. Yes you are right the divorce rates are high but those (christians) who divorce their husbands/ wifes cannot justify it with the bible unless the reason for divorcing is not death or not adultary. We people from the modern world are much less religious than the people who lived hundreds of years ago, i guess. Peace
Mary A , exactly. All his political correctness would have varnished !. He would have attacked that lady and be like, their names would be Mohamed and they would be Muslims of course !. Lol.
a political correctness does not mean it was not the simple and practical truth, you know?. from what i see in his gesture, i could tell he is quite contempt with the whole shenanigans of religions and a quite secular almost have an atheist despise of it.
Yep. Should of asked him about what they did in Lebanon, once they became a majority? They started killing Christians even though the Lebanese offered them a home when no one else wanted them.
I'm very happy to see that bright young woman criticising the logic behind some of the Islamic laws even when in a group of people (Muslim men) who don't agree with her. And that she wondered what changed in the Muslim world between 1960s/1970s and now. So brave of her! Made my day! I hope her opinions get heard in the rest of Palestine and elsewhere.
+Elin Fredrikson her logic is not so logic, instead of fasting she preffer to give poor peaple a mill exept that in islam you have to feed poor peaple the same, one day a khalifa told that if realy laws of zakat were aplied no one would be poor anymore, it's hypocrit like to say, i can drive drunk and just pay a fine after hitting someone
+The Observer don't be stupid she will never be killed ! she's just finding her own way in life .. there are many young people like her in the Palestinian society and no one gets killed !!
Is good that she is curious but her questions are very easy to answer. Why would she want to marry a non Muslim knowing he will not enter paradise? That's very selfish
"In our religion, it says we are all brothers and sisters, whether Christians or Jews, but at the same time we're not allowed to marry them, why not" Because brothers and sisters shouldn't marry each other. Duh!
+TheHomoludens There is no such thing as "Israeli Nazi" rabbis. No Orthodox rabbis, whether Israeli citizens or non-Israeli citizens, recognize or officiate at marriages between Jews or non-Jews. Some Reform rabbis will conduct such weddings. Israeli civil law recognizes as legal any and all marriages which are solemnized and legally contracted outside the borders of the State of Israel, whether they are between Jew and non-Jew, between Druze and Muslims, Christians and Buddhists, or between partners of the same sex. Such couples have all the rights and benefits (and headaches) of any marriage.
My mother is Christian (Armenian Orthodox to be precise), whilst my father is a sunni Muslim. I have several aunts who are Christian. Never were there any problems. We all celebrate easter, eid, christmas, etc.
+Joni Si Playboy im also from indonesia, and i can quarantee you that they , the islamic ulemas , and the law in general don't give a marriage permit for different religion so why are you acting like its allowed here? yes there are cases like that jamal mirdad and his wife, but those were back then in the more secular Orde Baru and even then was not common as of today, if i have a muslim girlfriend, how can i marry her as a, say, christian? hmm? you might want to notice that a recent meeting of general ulema last year just further approving disapproval of marriage from different faiths.. this is the reality in indonesia, again if you think its allowed give me a strong point to proof that, because the reality is that its not. Many even make way by getting married overseas in nonislamic nations
Good video overall but I feel like the questions are a little loaded. For one, Islam forbids Muslim women from marrying non Muslim men. Of course some do, including in Palestine. But surely most wont like the idea because it goes against their faith. I have a feeling that most Zionists would hate this video. Zionists always want to make it seem like this is a religious conflict between innocent secular Jews vs radical Muslims and often state that Palestinian Muslims hate Christians and are radicals. As we can see from the videos of Ramallah, Bethlehem and even Nablus(more conservative and almost 100% Muslim) this isn't the case. I'm Palestinian Christian and never had a problem with any Palestinian Muslim. Maybe it's different in Gaza but in the West Bank, especially the Ramallah/Bethlehem areas- there isn't a problem, but the Zionists want people to believe there is. That is why Zionists always try to censor Palestinian Christians from speaking. If we condemn Israel they know our voices mean a lot to the West. Just look what the former Israeli ambassador to the US did when 60 Minutes did an interview with Palestinian Christians. He called them liars then tried to get the documentary cancelled from being viewed to Americans! That says it all. I'm a Orthodox Christian and I love Palestine and Palestinians. One people one nation :)
+Daveissa87 One day you're "Syrian American", the next you're "Palestinian Christian" or "half-Syrian half-Palestinian", like most arabs you switch identities when it suits you. But that's above the point really, your comment does a fine job illustrating how arab christians are completely blinded by Jew-hatred, much more so than their muslim "brothers", all the naive Israelis who support the region's christians ought to take note and understand that. Your hatred of anything Jewish is so strong you even pretend christians and muslims are "one people one nation" in order to support an anti-Jewish agenda, despite the fact that you know full-well Hamas would take over Judea & Samaria (the "West Bank") if elections were held today. Whining about the evil Zionists isn't going to change that either, since Palestinianism is just an arab imitation of Zionism. This also goes on to show that the region's christians are complete hypocrites, simultaneously vouching for atheistic arab nationalism while using their faith to promote a narrative which suits their needs... Claiming to worship someone who said "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and "whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also" while throwing stones at innocent men, women and children, truly there is no depth to which you people won't sink, your moral bankruptcy knows no bounds. Next time I'll see a Jew or an Israeli who feels sorry for what you fools are going through right now, I won't even bother highlighting your shady past, I'll just show him your comments instead. I should thank you for showing us your true colours, I really should, but I won't.
They could've had everything by siding with Israel, but their hatred of the Jewish people is so pervasive that they just have to side with people who won't hesitate to slit their throats. What they don't seem to understand is that we Jews have an even lower tolerance threshold for that kind of cowardice.
מפיץ זעם No, I mention the identity that is relevant to the topic! I'm Syrian on my mothers side, Palestinian on my fathers. Both sides are Orthodox Christian and I was born in the US. Not very complicated. FAR less complicated than a European Jew who moves to a forieign country, than claims to be the native and is now Middle Eastern lol. But oh wait, you're a native because someone from your religion lived there 3000 years ago. Got it!
It comes down to the kids folks. In Jewish tradition if the MOTHER is a Jew then the child is be default a Jew and is expected to follow the Jewish way of life. In Islam that model is opposite. It is expected the religion carries through the children via the father, hence its a necessity that the father is a Muslim and carries that religious influence to the next generations.
+Cornelius Gantz The way you're galloping around this thread like a depraved billy goat who needs his lithium, is both pathetic and hilarious. You're breaking your back to insult people, but are instead making a complete fool of yourself and doing a disservice to your cause. Stop impersonating Gollum from Lord of the Rings....in an effort to get your point across.
+ramio1983 But surely Jews would prefer that the Father of the kids be a Jew too, not just the mother. I think it's best to have two parents with One religion...not Two...otherwise Confusion for the kids.
me and aroub are like long lost palestinian sisters, she is literally speaking everything i have spoken with my palestinian friends ! love for u habibitiii
she doesn't understand her religion at all.How can she say wearing scarf is not a religious commandment? May Allah grant her knowledge, understanding and give her firm belief in her religion
aroub is s beautiful free thinking un-bigoted woman, if only everybody thought like her, the world will be so much better, maybe then I could meet a Palestinian princess,😉😉
laila, habibi,😘,I dropped my fucking phone in the sink😪 I dried it overnight, and went to our conversation,as always,😋and my phone selected delete,I was gutted man, i loved reading thet,I hope you didn't doubt me,I meant every word,😘 hope you are well,😘 oh yeah, chicken fajitas,😘
I really admire Aroub way of thinking. She is definitely not a sheep following blindly medieval rules. Wishing my best for her considering her surrounding doesn't take such thoughts lightly.
@@rcruzy21 like the trinity makes sense, which it doesn't. The christians concept of God is too problematic but the islamic concept of God is simple so I'm pretty sure that ur the 1 who doesn't understand who God is, if ur a christian
Ramisa Khan if you understood Jewish theology which you claim your faith derived from, then you understand how the trinity made sense. But it’s clear that you’re just a radical Muslim who only believes in evil. You claim you pray to the one above, but all of humanity sees you pray to the one below.
im a Christian & Lebanese. id marry Aroub in a heart beat. beautiful, smart, free-thinking, and bold. 💝💝💝 religion aside, i can relate to her situation as my father was once a Muslim.
Hahah I'm Lebanese too and I was thinking with a mouth like that we need to give her the Lebanese citizenship so she can speak freely all she wants. 😍 In our society women are inherently more equal and liberal and I think she would benefit a lot from some time in Lebanon, she could go off to the West for a great education and then maybe come back to try to help the Palestinian Territories. I was so proud of her haha 😭
+m3rrya ! shookrun hbb for this beautiful message. preach sister preach!! It took alot of strength for Aroub to say that in front of her father and express her intuition. Real love is found on the inside not on the outward appearance. Love is so powerful that my sunni father married my orthodox mother during the war in the 80s. they're love was eternal. I made my own decision to be Christian using free will & studying abroad in universities. hopefully Aroub can take your advice & come out of her shell into Lebanon to become the woman she's destined to be!. I pray for more secularism & more importantly, freedom for our beautiful Arab women who are oppressed due to religious ideology. Arab women need more rights and roles in society.
+m3rrya ! I Agree. As a mother of a son about her age who is just like her. Luckely he had the oppertunity to ask those questions at an early age. As a former teacher l would have loved to have her in my class. Students like her made me love my job.
Aroub is beautiful and bright. Very well educated and carried herself very well in the middle of these somewhat ignorant men. God bless you Aroub. Never stand down!
+Ofir Gal or maybe it only shows that palestinians have no ressentment towards people who stole their land ? kill them or humiliate them on daily basis ?
LOL I have everything backwards ? you be living on planet earth these last years ? who stole Palestinians land in 1948 ? An Unicorn ? plus, who keeps violating international law by building new illegal settlements , who killed over 1000 civil palestinians 2 years ago ? you know if there is billion and billion people demonstrating for palestine all around the world its because they see who's the real criminal
El Amri Feriel No one stole land in 48. When you attack and lose land, that land is no longer yours. You WERE offered a compromise many times but always said no. Who killed 25000 Israelis? Who is stabbing is the streets? Suicide bombs on buses? Munich Olympics? Are these not crimes against humanity and in violation of international law?
@@nazislam9074 Don't say that. You have no right to say that anyone is not a good Muslim. She has right to ask, and Islam has answer to everything. She just need to ask the right person and InsyaAllah she'll understand it.
An educated, scholarly discussion between Muslim men and a Muslim woman about womens' rights in the Middle East that DOESN'T result in anger and violence. This is why I still have hope for Palestine.
+honeybobo i have a large cocko why should she asked only sheiks? i have. did you think they cannot have a very wrong and perveted ways of intrepreting the religion? oh boy, ....
Yeah and I’m lebanon too I mean I have a lot of discussion with men towards women’s rights I am a Muslim too we are normal people not the bananas that the western media shows that we are
Fasting has benefits, but not at the time scale that Ramadan is on. One would need to fast throughout the year to see any real lasting health benefits.
Wow! This is the first time I see a muslim lady challenge the concept if fasting during Ramadan. It seems that Palestinian women are very rational, well educated and mentally strong that they can even challenge their parent's belief knowing that this is an extremely difficult thing to do.
The first time there is a lot of Muslims ladies that challenge u just see what the media shows u ayy😒 but the thing is that fasting and praying is easy try it😒😒
Lol! Extremely difficult to do? 😂😂 Are you a baby? She'll get her answer, InsyaAllah. It's ok to challenge and ask, but to the right person so that she'll get the right answer.
Seems rational to an atheist but to an educated Muslim it is nonsensical. Hunger is a secondary aspect or importance to fasting in Ramadan. The spiritual aspect is of much greater importance. For example the Prophet said "If one does not abandon falsehood in words and deeds, Allah has no need for his abandoning of his food and drink"
Poor girl. She's obviously realizing the inconsistencies in her religion, but she can't do much about them as an individual. I hope she manages to bring some positives changes within her community, or better yet stop believing in the man-made fabrication called religion. God may or may not exist, but he certainly didn't create religion. If he did, there wouldn't be so many inconsistencies and outdated customs.
Really a poor girl! because she doesn't know anything about her religion nor does she give herself a chance to learn. a person's opinions can never be representave of a community.
Evenstar there is no inconsistency. The poor girl is ignorant to her own religion. If she studied and researched the Quran message she would know the reasons behind the word of Allah.
LOL yeah, she lacks "wisdom" to believe in ancient Arabic superstitions - flying Buraaq, earth being flat like a carpet & mountains to hold the carpet down, how the sun follows the moon around the earth (carpet earth in the middle) - stop drinking the kool aid and wake the fuck up.
Well, I am not ignorant, I know it's all BS and I choose not to swallow everything blindly..unlike you. Ultimately, there's not a single evidence you can provide to justify your faith. This is why it's called faith - it's all about the things you believe in without proof. Grow up and stop believing in ancient fairy tales.
“I hope she won’t be stoned to death to speaking out her mind.” 😂😂 People on here make me laugh about the lady at the start of the video. You people really need to get out of your boxes and explore these parts of the world....
Aroub, the girl from Nablus (3:18) is the most intelligent individual in this video. She clearly has the power of critical thinking and analytical skills along with good looks, very cute! Too bad she may never reach her potential in her restricted backward environment.... AROUB, YOU ARE A RAINBOW IN THE DARK... SAD :(
U do know that arabs actually put women on a higher stool than men the reason y they cant is because the christian will not allow the child to become a muslim cuz in the end the man chooses the religion the also may do things that are not allowed in islamic rules also if the child does not become muslim he will cause his child not to become muslim causing his child not to become muslim so on and so fourth also u know that the christians treat women less than muslims treatment for them the christians dont evenarry they just have sex and leave but muslims have to marry and also when they marry other women it is by the permission of the wife and for a really good reason like the wide not able to give birth
@@ahmadibrahim5393 Then why do I see so many videos and news stories of Muslim women being publicly punished and beaten and acid attacks? In Christianity, you do not beat or dishonor your wife, but not many people are Christian now days. They might say their family was, but Christians have left the faith for atheism mostly.
***** No, you are ridiculously wrong. Land grabbers? When you attack and lose land, the land is no longer yours. Don't like it? Good, then don't attack Israel. Simple.
I think the reason the Quran says that they are all brother and sister but can't marry is because the Quran was changed when muhhamed died. The caliphs and sultans did change it many of time through the the years.
Firstly Allah know best. Allah praises to him and his Messengers. A man's influence is very strong in the family so with that strong influence she may start to neglect her duties as a muslim women. Another reason men have egos natural, some stronger than some. It is very hard for a woman to convince a man to accept a different religion or foreign lifestyle but women do not have as strong ego we would analyze before we discarding a suggestion. Finally a mother is the first teacher a child would ever have. If the Muslim mother is neglecting her duties as a muslim woman what solid Islamic influence would the youth have? All in all its whats best for the ummah. Assalam alaikum.
Aasiyah Ann-Nahl I was under the impression that there is "no compulsion in religion". Based on what you said - it sounds like there is compulsion in religion if you are a women!
It was a stupid comment for him to make, first of all. Second of all their duty is to fast all day grom sunrise to sunset. Of course if you've been hungry and thirsty the whole day you'll eat a lot. The point is not to eat excessively, but to control themselves. Hunger is very hard to control, but if they manage to control it, their fasting is complete. So he should think first and then spit on others. Who doesn't respect others, don't respect themselves. Enough said.
to respond to tje girl who is not convinced of her religion, I just want her to know that back in tje 60s and 70s people had more freedom because "Muslim Brotherhood" did not exist
+Muhammad Taha habeebi elekhwan have their hands all over the region whether its Jordan, Egypt, Palestine ...... ya3ny طيب شو السبب اللي غير المراة المسلمة من السبعينات لحتى اليوم؟
Aroub seems like a very bright girl. Unfortunately I'm sure her critical thinking ability is frowned upon, possibly deeply frowned upon. Wish her the best.
Indeed the girls are the ones that need the most protection against the evil of this world weather family friends or anything else in between insha allah Allah will protect her.
It's ok for her to ask and not accepting everything blindly. This is the religion of God, it has answer to everything. She just need to ask the right person and she'll get her answer, InsyaAllah.
The people talking around 8 and so minutes until like 12, need to seriously educate them self in the deen they follow. A Muslim woman can't marry a non Muslim man because the man is the imam on the house. He needs to be able to give you the rights allah and his messenger prescribed to you and a non Muslim man can't do that. Another reason being that, yes while you can still be a Muslim, you can't be the best Muslim you can possibly be. You will need to compromise your religion i.e having alcohol at home etc. Slowly, you WILL change! Obviously to avoid it all and I'm sure there are many more reasons as to why we can't. The fasting part really pissed me off! Not to feel what the poor feel but to be thankful for what we have and help the need after understanding even a little bit of what they go through. Plus it's a time to increase in worship and control desires for the sake of Allah. It's a month of mercy! Why women wear the hijab? To protect you from the thoughts of men. Only a woman who didn't wear one and wore it after can feel the difference. Men and Woman have same human rights but different role in society, we exile each other in different things (I'm speaking in general) and Allah knowing what's good for us, has given us orders to follow (also part of worship-submission).
+LoL ReplayBaby why wouldn't I consider turks to be Muslim? If you say you're Muslim (regardless of the sin you commit), I'm in no place to say that you're unless you make the most major sin - association of a partner with the worship of Allah. In sort they are still Muslims but if you don't pray you've left Islam until you start praying again but that's forgiven and it's between that individual and God. I hope I answered your question.
Patrícia Marques Its not about men bot being able to control themselves! Its a best for us woman in general, would we follow a command from our lord or what people say? Its our test though the whole man thing does come to play as well. Me being a woman who was uncovered or covered.....i have seen a dramatic change as to how men act and speak around me. Even if the guy can control himself, he cant control his thoughts.
Nazzy Os I have no respect for a Muslim man who calls himself "religious" yet he marry a Christian/non-muslim woman, I find it hypocritical. There are so many different point of views, according to my mom (religious) a Muslim man is not allowed to marry a non-muslim woman regardless of what, and I completely agree, because the children are likely to follow the mother's religion.
Very interesting. Myself, I'm Orthodox Christian and the church that I attend is mostly Lebanese and Jordanians. The general rule as I understand it is that we are only to marry other trinitarian Christians like other Orthodox, Catholics, Anglicans, and most protestants, but no Jehovah's Witness, Mormon, Seventh Day Adventist, and certainly no Muslims, Jews, Hindus, etc. Given that most Palestinian Christians are either Orthodox or Catholic, I'm curious to know which confession these women that are marrying these Muslim men belong to.
Arab men: We are the kindest to women, western men envy us because women fly to us to be married, we treat them like princesses, some times I think we are actually too kind to them, our kindness to women is our weakness. Also Arab men: What the fuck? You think women have the right to marry who they want? Are you fucking crazy you dumb bitch? You should shut up and do what you're told. Who allowed you to speak?
I'm a Muslim woman and my husband is catholic. 2 children. we keep religion out of it. our children will chose what they will be when they are older and can decide for themselves
And that is why your whole marriage is invalid (according to Islam) and why we only allow men to marry Christian/Jewish women. How can you truly call yourself a believer if you're so comfortable with your children deciding to become atheists, not teaching them Islam and possibly leading them to hellfire (when they grow up)? If you truly believed, you'd try to prevent that any way you can. May Allah swt guide you, your husband and your children.
What's interesting is that while the Qur'an says a Muslim man may marry a christian woman it is silent on whether a Muslim woman can marry a christian man. Not surprisingly, this silence has been taken by male scholars to mean it is not permissible. Funny that. However most legal codes would use the exact opposite logic. When something is not expressly forbidden by law it is allowed. For example, you can park your car on the side of the road, unless there is a no parking sign which forbids it.
ELISA STRANGEHUMANBEING .She's really an amazing young lady she had an open mind and respectful to her religion despite of her opposing point of view I would really love to be friends with a personality like her ..
they keep saying in Islamic religion but in reality its in sunni religion other sects have different interpretation from a Quranic point of view for example its allowed that a women can marry a non Muslim because the Quran doesn't forbid it
+Middle Eastern Atheist Maybe there's a Practical Reason for this...outside of religion. A Muslim dude marries a Christian girl (in a Muslim marriage ceremony, of course)...then they have kids. Now the Christian wife doesn't have to become Muslim, but her kids will be raised Muslim. How would it be in their house for the mother not to believe in the family religion, or to participate in whatever Muslim religious holidays and rituals there are? How would the kids feel about their mother not believing in Islam or recognizing Muhammad...might that not cause Confusion for the kids? Say the mother, just to have One religion in the Family, Does convert to Islam...but she Really Doesn't WANT Islam for Islam ITSELF...she only converts for her kids' sake...would her Muslim husband be OK with that...or would he Value Islam More than to just want his Christian wife to take it for "Appearances Sake". Or does Islam take Anyone for Any Reason...whether the convert Really wants the Muslim religion or not?...Love is a Stupid Reason to convert to another religion (Btw...what if the Christian convert wife divorces her husband, and wants to go back to the Christian religion...would Islam be OK with That?).
+fwb41 Good points, and as for your last question, and I admit I'm speaking as a non-Muslim, Islam takes a dim view on apostasy and it doesn't matter if the so-called "apostate" was born and raised a Muslim and then converted out of it, or was born and raised in another religion, embraced Islam at some point and then later rejected it. The extreme interpretations of Islam, which are becoming more common in the Muslim world, say the penalty for leaving Islam death. I know not all Muslims endorse this view. There was an apostasy case in Afghanistan about 10 years ago (post-Taliban) where a Muslim man was sentenced to death for converting to Christianity. He was able to find asylum in Italy. Of course, Christianity used to do the same thing -- a Christian who willingly abandoned Christianity was worthy of death and torture -- that was what the Inquisition was all about. And when the Inquisition tortured and burnt Jews alive for practicing Judaism (or mere suspicion of practicing Judaism), they were doing it to people who had converted (or whose parents or grandparents had converted) to Christianity. As far as the Inquisition was concerned, these people had been baptized as Christians (despite their Jewish roots) and by torturing them to confess to their sin of practicing Judaism and rejecting Jesus, they were actually doing these Christians a big favor -- because now they'd get another chance to be saved!
Yes I would jump if he (PBUH) had said that .....................but he (PBUH) wouldn't because he only wanted Best for whole Human Kind ............ AllahuAkbar
That guy trying to explain the reason why muslim Women can't marry Non muslims is really irritating. They have to search more to find the answers. There is no obligation on the women to follow her husband's religion... And Islam has preserved women's right more than any other religion. That girl who is confused has a long way to go and she will understand her religion. I was there once but when I decided to look for answers and search I found my answer Alhamdulilah
What the hell? "Is that why everybody gains weight on Ramadan?" I lose weight on Ramadan. Just because some few people gain weight on Ramadan doesn't mean everybody does.
On one level this is great. But it does remind me of high-school, questioning questioning. She hasn't moved beyond this to decision-making and action. I hope that's to come.
Oh god I love arabic it sounds so beautiful and when arab guys speak english their accent is so sexy snd dome of these guys r hsndsome. Palestine here I come. Trouble or no trouble.
that girl obviously doesn't know much about her own religion islam. Its stated in the quran that if you don't fast you have to provide a meal for a poor person at the end of each day that u don't fast.
Because u don't marry someone just because for their culture or religion but for their character and personality. I won't give a shit where my future husband comes from because it doesn't matter at all. I am sure there will be some cultural obstacles but we will overcome them because we will love each other. My mom is Hungarian and my father is Algerian and they have been married for 31 years. Having parents from different cultures gives you a lot more open mind. You realize, we all are human beings and we don't differ from each other.
Siyovaxsh En-sipad-zid-ana if marriage was duty, I would get married to several guys lol. Just because someone is similiar to you and has the same value as you, it doesn't mean automatically you are a good match. There were/are some guys who are into me and they are very very good people but I just don't feel anything for them. We don't "click". And I won't live my life with a person I don't love. It doesn't matter how good people they are. Life is hard enough and I need love in my life. And if I don't find someone like that, I just don't get married. 🤷
I believe in God but but i dont believe in religion. religion created by human.. God only taught us to LOVE . Why use religion to stop LOVE?.. if you against LOVE means that u are against GOD.
Religion make human making love on the right path, are u allowed the people marriage with her brother, her parents or the same sex or maybe with animal? There any reason why religion allowed or forbid something.. Sorry im not speaking english i hope u understn.. Maybe u read the quran first, and will see u be like or not 😊 peace
There is already an alms-giving law in Islam, fasting Ramadan is a unique experience that serves a special purpose different from directly helping the needy. Fasting would help you relate to them in the more literal sense. I may need to do more research on this but I remember hearing that the penalty for each day you deliberately don't fast in Ramadan without a valid reason, is either fasting an extra month or feeding a number of poor people (I think 10) If you're ready to feed around 300 hundred people throughout the month of Ramadan, then go ahead and skip fasting lol. Chances are you'll opt for keeping these pennies to yourself.
A Muslim women can't marry a Muslim man because the children usually take the religion of the man. So you would put your children on the path of idolatry (worshiping Jesus, Crosses etc.) instead of the path of the One Creator.
As a Palestinian Christian I would marry aroub for sure(if I had the choice of course) she's smart, pretty, curious and most importantly she's just like me, likes everything in moderation.
I want to clarify this. First of all, a muslim man can marry non-muslim women only from the people of the book (i.e. Christianity and Judaism). Now, as to why it's allowed for men to marry a non-muslim but not for women, there are things you need to understand about how islam constructs the bases of the relationships within a family: 1. The mother is naturally much more important for the kids than the father. 2. The father is the one who provides money, clothes, food, housing etc for the family, not the mother. 3. 1&2&only create a gap in the hierarchical relationship between mother/father/kids, as in who has the "steering wheel" of the family to not create instability; and that's the rationale behind why the father has the "ultimate power" within the family, also being generally more rational about things, because he doesn't go through emotional tides as for the mother. It's like thinking about a country, why every country has a single president? It's for the same reason. It's worth mentioning that anything Islam constructs is at the same time what Islam believes is the natural thing for humans to do. So, this view is also what Islam believes is the natural tendency for humans to do. Understanding these three points (with a pinch of salt, I may have not expressed it correctly) is the reason why a muslim woman cannot marry a non-muslim man, because the non-muslim man will most probably guide his children towards his religion. If Islam allowed women to marry non-muslim men, it would be like allowing people to take guidance of another religion, which is something that a true religion -as Islam claims to be- cannot do. I hope this clears everything up.
Alexander Berman well that's because we believe that there is only one god . Christians believe that Jesus is also their god . Nothing against Christians tho we are all human :)
This question is phrased as if all Palestinians are Muslims. There are Palestinian Christians, in which case your question would be would a Christian marry a Christian?
+gunit8590 She might be Risking Her Neck...those people have been known to Kill their own females. Strange she didn't seem to feel inhibited in the video.
***** Then if not for Muslim reasons...then for Tribal Honor reasons...you've heard of Honor Killings? I remember Queen Noor of Jordan had to come out publicly against Honor Killings in Jordan...and I would say that the only reason she could do that was because she was a Queen...what do you think?
***** Who was that girl in Pakistan, I think (I don't remember her name)...but she was hailed as a hero for bravely defying the Muslim Male Entity that was giving her a really hard time? She came out with a book, called "My Name Is _____"....but I can't remember her name, or the details of her story. She wore an orange abaya on the cover of her book...do you know who I'm talking about?
the guy did not answer properly and the girl does not have basic understanding of Islam. the women is always inclined to follow the husband that's why it's not allowed to marry a non Muslim husband so that she does not get influenced by him or change her religion .
I'm inlove with the 3:26 girl... so eager to freedom, liberal mind, rejects the unlogic restriction, and pius.... hope this is a role model for muslims
This is another great video with a lot of interesting insights. A note on the marrying of those outside of the religion, as I have interpreted the information that I have been given, a Muslim man may marry a non Muslim woman, and she is not forced to convert, but a Muslim woman may not marry a non Muslim man because of the possibility that his religion may force her to convert. If anyone wishes to correct me on this I welcome it. I have only read translated versions of the source texts.
From what I have read and from what I have been told in conversations with many faithful Christians, the idea is that authority comes from God, delegated directly from God to the man, indirectly from the man to the wife, and then through the wife to the children. From what I understand from reading, this view is echoed in Islam. It creates a very strong and organized nuclear family, something extremely valuable in any society. Especially in a society that faces struggle, such as Palestine. People in chaos, demand order.
It's not that she will convert or not, in Islam husband must b respected, now if a Muslim girl marries lets say a Buddhist, then the Buddhist orders her to b Buddhist , then she denies, that's disrespect, as her father how will I solve that disagreement? It is simply to save other religions from a case that Muslims correct stand and other religions correct stand, will bring a misunderstanding and nobody is forced to b Muslim if a Muslim woman feels to become a Christian she's free to go, though I sympathize with such kind, in the long run its btwn her and God. Would you like your wife to disrespect you?
Best regards to aroub, against obeying men she still remains to have say and speaks well. Although parents can make it rough on you she still manages to have her own mind.
You know the sad thing? If a Christian or Jew girl said she'd never date or marry a Muslim, or a Jew/Christian parent expressed their unwillingness to let their daughter/son marry a Muslim, they will be branded as "Islamophobic". Such sad times.
10:09 Aroub I'll tell what happened in this period we got fucked up by selfie thoughts that destroyed the teachings of Islam and everything beautiful in our society including critical thinking.
This is a nice discussion. But I fear the marriage question might give a false impression. I am not offended if a Muslim will not marry a Christian. I am a Christian. In the Bible it days it is better for a couple to be equally yoked. That means they should share the same faith. Marriage is more than just two people. There is family and possible children to consider. I think being called into two directions because of faith differences is a harsh reality in a marriage and confusing for children to be raised in. Also traditionally in Christianity the husband is the head of the house. The husband is to love his wife as Christ loves the church and the wife is to obey her husband as the church follows Christ. So the reality is because Muslims and Christians actually are the same about marriage relationships, its better to not marry out of faith. I am not a Muslim, so I am not really entitled to have an opinion on this but I think fasting is important part of the Muslim faith because it teaches obedience to God and to gain empathy to the poor. I actually like the Hijab. I love how it is worn to have a woman's acts to show rather than her endowments. I think it does help a woman have modesty too. Of course I can't wear one here in Canada because I am not a Muslim. But if I was a Muslim I would wear one and want my daughter to wear one too. Really I don't see how wearing one is oppressive. Jesus' mom wore one and a woman needs to wear one to visit the pope. I love the sharing of ideas. What has surprised me is the few Muslims I have met are actually very excepting of Christians. To them its the same God. The openness is nice.
Valerie Hodson You can wear hijab as a Christian if you want to. Muslims don't care if you do. They aren't gonna ask you "HEY WHY ARE YOU WEARING THAT?" personally I don't in public aside from praying.
That's actually not true. That's an excuse. The real reason is simply bc Allah said so, the false reason is "the kids will be confused and stuff". The kids arent gonna be confused, what is BS is this idea that men decide the religion of their family, again that's a cultural thing that people use as an excuse. Reality shouls be that a muslim woman should feel free to marry whomever she wants, per guidance from the Quran. Religion isnt something you're born with, it is something you choose to believe in, having a muslim or christian father isnt gonna necesarily make the kids muslim or christian the odds are higher, sure, but not a guaranteed thing. Personally, I think arabs/muslims need to stop adhering to such a retarded and outdated custom...but who am I to say....
Khaled Hammam What the fuck are you talking about??? First it does say in Islam that a man can marry a non Muslim but not the other way around, I can provide the ayat if you want. Second, I'm not the one telling women who to marry it's MUSLIM MEN doing that. I said I didn't care if a muslim woman wanted to marry an Israeli or not....not my business. Yet everyman is telling her she literally cannot when its not their business either. As for Muslims reasoning, I'll tell you a little something about Muslim reasoning..Muslim reasoning dictates that alcohol is haram , yea? Yet why smoking is Ok? Shouldn't they both be haram? But Muslim men in their infinite knowedlge dictate once again "hurrrrr smoking is ok bc God didn't say it wasn't duuuuup". It's the same thing with marriage, muslim men choose what to enforce and what not to when it suits them, murder is haram, yet for muslims men say its ok if its for honor. Sodomy is haram, yet for muslim men its ok so long as its with a boy they dont plan on marrying. Muslim men turn to religion to justify their views, even if Islam makes itself clear that these views are haram. Muslim men don't care about Islam. They haven't since the days of the prophet when he revealed it to them
Khaled Hammam Jesus fucking Christ. It's like you only read the parts that offended you and nothing else. What part of Muslims enforce random parts of the religion and don't enforce others do you NOT understand? You're the one who can't read apparently. Islam says man can marry non Muslims not the other way around. Point. blank. period. Whether Muslim women wanna abide by that law is up to them but THAT IS THE JUSTIFICATION MUSLIM MEN GIVE FOR WHY WOMEN CANT MARRY OUTSIDE THE RELIGION. As for sodomy and all that shit, it isn't a "select few" damn near all the men in Afghanistan do this, Pakistan as well. And that's the JUSTIFICATION they give for why they do it. They also kill their wives and female relatives ..And AGAIN that is the JUSTIFICATION they give....NONE of it has anything to do w Islam dumbass but they will say Islam is what made them do it bc that's how men are! Therefore my conclusion is that Muslim men don't give a shit about anything. They don't give a shit about Islam, They don't care about women, they only care about getting what they want out of it and pointing the blame at anything other than themselves. Learn to fucking read
as a palestinian, aroub you are brave girl , I once said that in a lecture and the people wanted to attack me thanks to the professor he defended me

So Aroub is both a free thinker and wants to better understand her religion. Honest and smart and seeking answers...how wonderful.
Trust me she will never find an answer... was looking myself for years for many years as a muslim woman... no answer
@@palilady940 did you give up? Are you still trying to find answers? What do you believe in then if you still have doubts?
Aroub, what an amazing young lady! having the balls to question the logic behind some of islamic religious views. Keep questioning! Information and determination will eventualy bring you answers (or not, but questioning means awerenes and that is more important than answers).
Questions are welcome, but if it's answered dont try to deny it
Aroub l think you are a highly intelligent and sweet girl/young woman. You remind me of my teenage son and myself 40 years ago. He is also always asking why questions about everything. Btw Christians are allowed to divorce.
Women as well.
+anfr The only possibility for Christians to divorce is adultery.
+XxRamboxX1000
Im not religious so l dont lnow that much but if you look at divorce rates that sounds very unlikely in a modern world.
anfr
Mathew 19:5-9:
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

There is no such thing as "Israeli Nazi" rabbis. Such couples have all the rights and benefits (and headaches) of any marriage.

as of today, if i have a muslim girlfriend, how can i marry her as a, say, christian? hmm?
you might want to notice that a recent meeting of general ulema last year just further approving disapproval of marriage from different faiths..

One people one nation :)
thanks for your voice i tataly love my people we are cool isnt it ?
sending you lights and love from Ramallah ❤😊
+Daveissa87 100% we will stay one nation and i cant agree more! love from a fellow palestinian
+ramio1983 The muslim inheritance system is designed for conquest. Simple.
Let kids just decide for them selfs when they will be grown ups.

The reason y they cant marry

Alya Hamzah Ameen very true in sha Allah
Maybe you should show some respect...
Would you try and answer her question .... Why is a women not allowed to marry outside her religion but a man is?

I was under the impression that there is "no compulsion in religion".

Pipo Pipo i confirm
We do not fast to feel the poor , we fast to feel the presence of God and gain taqwa.
Nazzy Os good to know that Allah thinks that men are beasts hungry for sex and can only control themselves near a covered body.
Nazzy Os May Allah keep you on the right path sister .. keep you faith strong.

Dang Muslim women can’t get away with anything 😂. But I’m glad to see that Muslims like Christians and see them as good people ❤️✝️
I'm a Muslim woman and my husband is catholic. 2 children. we keep religion out of it. our children will chose what they will be when they are older and can decide for themselves
this is totally haram[because quran clearly says muslim woman can't marry non muslim guys]
@vonvicious7737 it will be between me and Allah AWT. and I fo appreciate your in put and your views.
I'm Palestinian, my family lives near Nazareth and so many of my cousins have married Jewish people. All Love, no hate.
That’s great to hear!
For example, you can park your car on the side of the road, unless there is a no parking sign which forbids it.

from a Quranic point of view for example its allowed that a women can marry a non Muslim because the Quran doesn't forbid it
frome where you get that !
Muslim men are allowed to marry Christians, Jews alongside Muslims but for Muslim women only muslim men.
+fwb41
Good points, and as for your last question, and I admit I'm speaking as a non-Muslim, Islam takes a dim view on apostasy and it doesn't matter if the so-called "apostate" was born and raised a Muslim and then converted out of it, or was born and raised in another religion, embraced Islam at some point and then later rejected it.
Middle Eastern Atheist that is according to sunni traditions
Their some sects allow that
Keep up with the great work! Such an interesting project. From your Muslim Sister, Singapore :)

that girl obviously doesn't know much about her own religion islam. Its stated in the quran that if you don't fast you have to provide a meal for a poor person at the end of each day that u don't fast.
I don't understand why different religion and different cultures should marry each other.. marriage it's already difficult enough (;
Lol right
That's the point

I need to do that Ramadan stuff I could lose 30 pounds
A Muslim women can't marry a Muslim man because the children usually take the religion of the man. So you would put your children on the path of idolatry (worshiping Jesus, Crosses etc.) instead of the path of the One Creator.
As a Palestinian Christian I would marry aroub for sure(if I had the choice of course) she's smart, pretty, curious and most importantly she's just like me, likes everything in moderation.
I want to clarify this. First of all, a muslim man can marry non-muslim women only from the people of the book (i.e. Christianity and Judaism).
Now, as to why it's allowed for men to marry a non-muslim but not for women, there are things you need to understand about how islam constructs the bases of the relationships within a family:
I hope this clears everything up.

the guy did not answer properly and the girl does not have basic understanding of Islam. the women is always inclined to follow the husband that's why it's not allowed to marry a non Muslim husband so that she does not get influenced by him or change her religion .

That translator was so unnecessary just put subtitles

Valerie Hodson
You can wear hijab as a Christian if you want to.
Khaled Hammam
What the fuck are you talking about???
They haven't since the days of the prophet when he revealed it to them
Khaled Hammam
Jesus fucking Christ.
They also kill their wives and female relatives
..And AGAIN that is the JUSTIFICATION they give....NONE of it has anything to do w Islam dumbass but they will say Islam is what made them do it bc that's how men are!
Therefore my conclusion is that Muslim men don't give a shit about anything. They don't give a shit about Islam,
They don't care about women, they only care about getting what they want out of it and pointing the blame at anything other than themselves.
Learn to fucking read
