Interesting. That would make me think that, internally, the radiolaria pools are considered to be the weapon “doing damage” at that time. We should check if other modifiers work with that, like kill clip increasing pool damage for pools already placed or something. If someone dies in a pool and you don’t have a full mag, can you trigger heal clip? Interesting possibilities here.
I would argue that the strongest Nullify roll to contend with Corrasion is Firefly + Incandescent. I've actually preferred this roll over the regular heal clip roll (slightly because I have the same roll on lots of other pulse rifles) and one headshot kill can completely clear a full room of adds if they're all close enough, and even cause multiple ignitions thanks to incandescent, on top of the reload buff from Firefly. Yes you lose that heal on reload, but it's a good tradeoff for the raw power that those two perks bring together, which I would actually say works better than voltshot.
Got Nullify as my first ever drop from the raid (not that I've got many, we haven't played it much and we've not gotten past encounter 3). Nullify is absolutely amazing. Used it for ages and ages, especially with my strand rocket sidearm. They pair beautifully. (My Nullify has Subsistence + Adrenaline Junkie which is really powerful, funnily enough. I usually don't like subsistence but the 4 rounds returning feels really nice on this thing)
I like some scouts but alot of them feel really weak and non satisfying because of their sound and feel,they deal damage but it feels like they don't and the slow fire rate makes it worse,the lever action scouts for example feel really good
I don’t often comment on videos, but your split screen graphic comparing the three was super clean and deserving of notice. Kudos to whoever created this. Consider - if you can - using this in the future when comparing eg damage testing where weapon A is +X% and weapon B is +Y% . Or where comparing on the same weapon because of perk 1 vs perk 2 and so on. First example that came to mind, could probably be done in build battles too, have a horizontal split of build A vs build B and so on.
I have been saying for almost a month that Aisha’s Care with Desperado is the best legendary weapon in the game and no one believed me, including Cross.

The change to some adept mod the have stat penalties being removed is a nice change - I can change out my Nullify adept to have accurised rounds now and slap on adept mag and not have any issues (previously I used regular mag but I always want the heavy burst pulse to have 30 in magazine similar to Graviton) no I can it feels so much more sticky on the target and can still spray them down with firefly and incandescent getting those big explosions
I think people sleep on some perk options here: firefly + incandescent (you don't always need heal clip) Pugulist + Voltshot (a loader + flared + rl MW solves reload, you can just take the free melee energy)
I’m going full strand with Aisha’s. Still hunting Slice / hatchling adept. Just hatchling with buried bloodline providing devour is spicy. Easier to keep up devour with threadlings and whirling maelstroms tearing everything up. Also applying weaken is nice too. I use it with Inquisitor in PvP.
I have Over/Under and Incandescent on my Nullify and it just SHREDS. The base damage of the gun is just so good already on unshielded enemies and red bars, but Over/Under making it do so much more damage to shielded enemies just makes it feel even better. You guys should really try it. When I got the roll, I was disappointed but after using it, I am not sure how it could get better...
Man my blast furnace with one for all is amazing in harder content and I never thought we would use pulses for end game content or even consider it being a good damage dealer but here we are
I will say Aisha's is a lot easier to get than Nullify. You can solo in trials and Nullify you need 5 other people. If you just play trials for rep and engrams you'll have a lot more fun - and if you don't tie your self-worth to winning matches. Remember - win or lose you still get rep and then you can focus all your engrams into an Aisha. Aisha also goes hard in PvE on Cyrtarachne Maelstrom hunter that aggressively builds into tangles. I go Slice/Collective Action or Slice/KC.
Crafted corrosion soon as I could to complete my gifted conviction build. I’m not good enough to solo WR, so no indebted kindness for me. That thing is a beast with eddy current. It’s surprisingly powerful. With amplified and the gifted conviction resist x2. On top of frost armor and facet of protection even someone’s like me can’t die all the time.

You should compare Adhortative with Healclip and Incandescent. The Origin Trait Nano-Munitions makes this thing an absolute ADD CLEAR BEAST! I know it's not a Heavy Burst, but there is no way this thing doesn't compare.
I mean, I'll go out and craft a Corrasion as I have the pattern but man I am really enjoying my Incan/Demo BXR this episode. It fucks man. Feel like it doesn't get any love due to it having its own unique frame & the fact that it is an old weapon now. But, in this world of Pulse Rifle metas, I would highly recommend BXR. When back then I seen combination of heal clip/incandescent on Adhortative, I knew it will be good. Able to add clear and heal myself without having to run for those solar spawns, was comfy. But when Bungie buffed the heal clip by remaking it to instead of granting some small amount of health (even like that it was nice) , giving cure x2....ohhhh boy. I think a middle ground between those is fair. Like this now, its tooo good, it saved my ass soo many times. Could be wrong, but I smell either nerf or some changes to it.
What would be the best gun for boss DPS? Like if I'm doing GM Excision and I switch from Outbreak to Stillhunt for Witness, what legendary kinetic would be best? The guns in this video?

Tbh I think the reason I'm not using them is because sure they have the highest dps for red bars but what's the point if in the end it still takes essentially the same amount of time to kill a red bar. If a hand cannon and pulse shoot an enemy and kill in a single burst there's basically no difference other than moving onto another red bar slightly faster but it's not that much faster. In return for being SLIGHTLY better at ad clearing you lose out on essentially an extra special weapon since against majors and even to a degree champions hand cannons are just way better hell sometimes I can kill a major faster with a hand cannon than some specials.
I've been using the different times. I know it's not a heavy pulse rifle, but it fucking cooks subsistence and hatchling are the two rolls you want for this weapon anything that helps with stability and handling are also good.
Pulses are banging for sure but I still think handcannons are a close second with high damage per shot and the ability to do way more damage to majors, I still need to craft or enhance nullify and see if I like it.

All of these pulses make using other weapons feel like marshmallow shooters after a while of using them also thank you for blessing the community with this video right after Graviton got nuked I’m sure it’ll help people find a replacement until it’s back to normal if they ever decide to actually fix it

Just crafted nullify. Firefly/Chaos is soo good. Now I'm done with Salvations. Don't got glave and sword crafted but idc. Just gonna do final boss for Exotic then im done for ever. Salvation is such an annoying raid to LFG.

I’d agree with this. Incandescent is great, but since the nerf to enhanced I rarely if ever get an ignition with just the perk - usually need at least - ability in there too. And the burn itself does terrible damage w./o Dawn Chorus. So I think people are heavily sleeping on Firefly + Chaos Reshaped on Nullify. AoE burst perk, reload perk, healing tics, and a 30% damage boost all on 1 gun is kinda crazy. + it doesn’t rely on builds so it’s 100% plug and play. Corrasion with Voltshot I think is still the best tho :)

Why do they have to put the best PVE perks on PVP weapons? It's the second time that they do this. Better Devils and Aisha's Care, both obtainable through PVP, roll with Slice and Hatchling which is a great PVE combination for builds with tangles and stuff
You guys no heavy burst pulses were a thing before final shape yes? Mind you I only ever saw one, and it was an exotic with vorpal, but still....the rifle is Revision Zero, for those wanting to know...you can actually switch between light burst or heavy burst depending on needs/preferences...Zero also like I said rolls with Vorpal, it's craftable, and it's exotic perks turns it into a rediculously heavy sniper weapons...did I mention it has fourth times the charm?
Revision had issues. 1. You can't swap mid equipment lock activity. 2. The heavy burst did less damage than light burst. And 3. The light burst built up stacks faster not just because it fired more shots but also because it gave more energy towards the perk. Also it doesn't help heavy burst didn't get a buff this season. Light burst got about 10% stronger while heavy burst got 10% weaker.

This doesn't include the fact it still deals like -70% against shields, terrible damage against majors (About 8-10 bursts versus like 2 for burst hand cannons), basically no champion or above damage (Though at that point you stop using primaries unless you're a Hunter or you run out of ammo) And even then when burst hand cannons basically one shot most red bars only stopping at shields or things like a red bar colossus you kinda stop needing faster dps. Because what's the point in shooting faster if your competition already killed its opponent? Revision's light burst mode is arguably still the better option simply because of the faster build up of stacks.
Revision is still fun every now and then...I'll admit I haven't really used the heavy burst except for all of maybe 10 minutes when I first got it...I do like the 4x's Charm roll with light burst and hunter perk...4x can activate with the sniper mode too...but the main reason I grinded it last season and grinded the full cats and all upgrades was for the shield piercing...then they went ahead and made that a seasonal for pulses with echoes....lol
Cross you are sleeping on strand in prismatic I’m telling ya you gotta try hellion and weavers trance with pheonix dive and swarmers. I have a build on it that I think is perfected that I uploaded to the build battles but there are others that also use this very effectively.
I really hope Bungie stops just having guns that randomly do more damage than their contemporaries. These are a good example, as well as Graviton Lance. I'm not asking for a nerf on these guns, just for them to not be objectively superior to everything else. Like I really don't see a reason that Nullify with the same roll as Adhortative should be doing 30% more damage just by default, or another example, I don't really see why Nullify, a Legendary, does basically the same amount of damage as Red Death, an Exotic. It's just weird design.
Just because they deal a little bit more dps doesn't make them better than other weapons if they have ass perks or there is just better options that do the exact same thing and dont require you to play trials or raids to unlock
hidden messaging :) it's never seen and buried in most vaults while its maybe the best legendary primary sidearm in the game. 3-round burst with 80 impact and abnormally high 491 rpm for that archetype. it's baffled me how it has the stats it does. no origin perks sadly but who cares dont open up the idea of letting them change the base stats on it with a rework, no way. with a demo/aa roll you can get up to ~68 in the mag, more realistically like 48 with 4 kills on a 27 round mag 3-burst. then maybe 8 kills off the 48 mag giving your next mag the full 68. it's that rare gun you feel nobody else has or uses, like having a seventh seraph si-2 with drop mag on it that you can still use.
Passage of Persistence already let you get an adept without going flawless. The change to it won't have a meaningful impact. The change only applies if you're in a fireteam of three. This passage is only desirable for players not good enough to go flawless at all, even with Passage of Mercy and it's to mulligans. You put three players of that skill level together and they aren't winning matches against other three stacks.
Even with the 8.0.5 nerf to rocket sidearms I'll still be using them as my primary. Aside from maybe anti-champ mods there's not much reason to run legendary primaries in the current sandbox.

My Blast Furnace carries me. It's shiny with k.t and firefly, and headseeker and kill clip. It's the workhorse.
Same exact roll. It's the goat.
I really like kinetic/firefly. It's a good easy to mid game weapon. Kinetic/frenzy is great for endgame if you can get one.
Same it carried me through the legend campaign and it hits so hard against both ads and mini bosses and reload is so fast so it has high DPS

Side arms have decent dps. Needing to be in close quarters and consistently landing crits is their downfall.

Keep in mind Desperado in PvE does not reduce damage like it does in PvP. It's basically "free" double damage.
It's never reduced damage in pvp...they just nerfed the fire delay reduction. That's it

Nullify with Under Over and Chaos Reshaped is a beast in high end content, it rolls through Legend Campaign like its nothing.

Nullify may be better on warlock because devour reduces the need for heal clip. Pick up demo instead and enjoy.

I've been maining two bursts since we got more, loving it. Sad about the current Graviton bug rn
Also imo, there's no point in comparing the different two bursts, as they are all different elements, and therefore serve different purposes

Nullify is the best Solar Legendary Primary, maybe the best overall Legendary Primary, in the game and I stand on that. Thing is amazing

I’d agree with this. Incandescent is great, but since the nerf to enhanced I rarely if ever get an ignition with just the perk - usually need at least - ability in there too. And the burn itself does terrible damage w./o Dawn Chorus.
So I think people are heavily sleeping on Firefly + Chaos Reshaped on Nullify. AoE burst perk, reload perk, healing tics, and a 30% damage boost all on 1 gun is kinda crazy. + it doesn’t rely on builds so it’s 100% plug and play.
Corrasion with Voltshot I think is still the best tho :)
If you think about it, we now have a Kinetic, Strang, Void, Solar and Arc Heavy Burst Pulse Rifle, all that is missing is one with stasis
The one from season of the seraph can get rapid hit frenzy/one for all/headstone

I kinda disagree. Nullify has firefly Incan for ad clear and chaos reshaped heal clip for sustained damage and survivability. It’s better imo
Why do they have to put the best PVE perks on PVP weapons? It's the second time that they do this. Better Devils and Aisha's Care, both obtainable through PVP, roll with Slice and Hatchling which is a great PVE combination for builds with tangles and stuff

You guys no heavy burst pulses were a thing before final shape yes? Mind you I only ever saw one, and it was an exotic with vorpal, but still....the rifle is Revision Zero, for those wanting to know...you can actually switch between light burst or heavy burst depending on needs/preferences...Zero also like I said rolls with Vorpal, it's craftable, and it's exotic perks turns it into a rediculously heavy sniper weapons...did I mention it has fourth times the charm?
Revision had issues. 1. You can't swap mid equipment lock activity. 2. The heavy burst did less damage than light burst. And 3. The light burst built up stacks faster not just because it fired more shots but also because it gave more energy towards the perk.
Also it doesn't help heavy burst didn't get a buff this season. Light burst got about 10% stronger while heavy burst got 10% weaker.
@@wintereclipse3263 If you go to the graph at 00:32 you can see revision zero has the highest base dps primary* in the game so It does have a decent shout of being good now.
@@panini15 Exclusively against red bars. This doesn't include the fact it still deals like -70% against shields, terrible damage against majors (About 8-10 bursts versus like 2 for burst hand cannons), basically no champion or above damage (Though at that point you stop using primaries unless you're a Hunter or you run out of ammo)
And even then when burst hand cannons basically one shot most red bars only stopping at shields or things like a red bar colossus you kinda stop needing faster dps. Because what's the point in shooting faster if your competition already killed its opponent?
Revision's light burst mode is arguably still the better option simply because of the faster build up of stacks.
Revision is still fun every now and then...I'll admit I haven't really used the heavy burst except for all of maybe 10 minutes when I first got it...I do like the 4x's Charm roll with light burst and hunter perk...4x can activate with the sniper mode too...but the main reason I grinded it last season and grinded the full cats and all upgrades was for the shield piercing...then they went ahead and made that a seasonal for pulses with echoes....lol

Cross you are sleeping on strand in prismatic I’m telling ya you gotta try hellion and weavers trance with pheonix dive and swarmers. I have a build on it that I think is perfected that I uploaded to the build battles but there are others that also use this very effectively.
I really hope Bungie stops just having guns that randomly do more damage than their contemporaries. These are a good example, as well as Graviton Lance. I'm not asking for a nerf on these guns, just for them to not be objectively superior to everything else. Like I really don't see a reason that Nullify with the same roll as Adhortative should be doing 30% more damage just by default, or another example, I don't really see why Nullify, a Legendary, does basically the same amount of damage as Red Death, an Exotic. It's just weird design.
I just deleted my Heal Clip + Incan roll cuz I couldn't be asked to switch off BXR :(
Just because they deal a little bit more dps doesn't make them better than other weapons if they have ass perks or there is just better options that do the exact same thing and dont require you to play trials or raids to unlock

it's never seen and buried in most vaults while its maybe the best legendary primary sidearm in the game. 3-round burst with 80 impact and abnormally high 491 rpm for that archetype. it's baffled me how it has the stats it does. no origin perks sadly but who cares dont open up the idea of letting them change the base stats on it with a rework, no way.
with a demo/aa roll you can get up to ~68 in the mag, more realistically like 48 with 4 kills on a 27 round mag 3-burst. then maybe 8 kills off the 48 mag giving your next mag the full 68.
it's that rare gun you feel nobody else has or uses, like having a seventh seraph si-2 with drop mag on it that you can still use.
Now only if they could make Revision Zero do strand damage.

Passage of Persistence already let you get an adept without going flawless.
The change to it won't have a meaningful impact. The change only applies if you're in a fireteam of three. This passage is only desirable for players not good enough to go flawless at all, even with Passage of Mercy and it's to mulligans. You put three players of that skill level together and they aren't winning matches against other three stacks.
Honestly… sidearms should have the best dps because of how close you have to get out of primaries
Even with the 8.0.5 nerf to rocket sidearms I'll still be using them as my primary. Aside from maybe anti-champ mods there's not much reason to run legendary primaries in the current sandbox.

340s are not heavy burst.
Corrasion is also the easiest to get. I have a Voltshot/Eddys Current roll and I could not agree more. It’s cracked in PvE.
Although it’s not meta I love my stay frosty with headstone.
