Honestly, I could totally see using this for other content where they have those hydra/wyvern bosses where they just CONSTANTLY shoot at you. Be a fun no brain solo run of Spire maybe on the final boss for example
The addition of the lil red box to show which super was just tested is such a nice little addition, after a while theres just too much to find where the most recent test lands 💜 we appreciate the editors doing the little things too 👏
Blight ranger with aggro would do well against the colossus miniboss at the beginning of the proving grounds GM. That thing hits stupidly hard and there are plenty of other annoying spammy ads it would do well against.
@@lostsurferjames5 yes I agree 100%….plus this exotic could create uninterrupted dps during boss encounters as well cuz the focus is on the hunter…. Don’t have to worry about teammates taking damage and having to possibly go into cover
For burning maul, the hammer hitting the ground itself has its own damage instance. So doing the slam directly on top of an enemy will milk out a little more damage
One thing missing is "eDPS" (effective), which means dividing the total damage by the time it takes to fire the super (assuming you can shoot guns before and after this. Meaning - it doesn't matter much if a super deals 2m damage if it takes 40 seconds to do all that when a super that can deal 700k and takes 3 seconds to fire it off is much better as you can use guns after
Oh yeah and one very noteworthy thing about Silence and Squall, it enables you to do perfect Cascade Point & BnS rotations for Edge Transit with utmost ease, Facet of Command is now on a 4 Second Colldown, meaning that it continuously reloads your GL during DPS for you, so you can keep firing as if you also had Envious Assassin procced. This goes even harder with the new VS Chill Inhibitor, since you can even use a Foetracer / Star-Eater Exotic Class item to also have 4x Surges on top of everything. Example Loadout / rotation (Witherhoard / Persuader / Edge Transit) Shoot Witherhoard -> prime 2 Persuader Shots (for your Cascade / BnS Edge) -> use Super (everything stays active long enough) -> unload Edge Transit between the Cast time and therefore initial freeze you should almost perfectly start reloading your Edge transit once it's about to go empty, simply enabling you to keep firing. and fully unload all your BnS Shots in one go.
@duckmandrake6781 Obviously depends on the scenario / boss you are facing, my proudes moment with it though was probably one phasing Phrygia during Grasp. I duoed with a friend and all he did was pop a well for me to ease survival. Numbers really don't mean too much if you play with other competent players though. I mean I could tell you about hitting ~ 8.5 million on Crota with it at one point, though it was over 2 dmg phases and my team wasn't putting out a lot of dmg. just give it a try it is actually quite scary how strong it it feels
Gathering storm isn't really meant to be damage on its own, it's basically just a giant jolt proc. The super will do more damage based on you continuing to shoot the boss.
This is accurate, I'd hoped that he would have a test on just throwing the staff - and then another test where his 2 team members try to imitate doing a DPS phase while he does nothing, to see how much it increases because the Jolts proccing from the staff (by others damaging it) contribute to the Hunter who threw the Staff's damage numbers.
@@Naturelance4it's not about your numbers, it's about overall total for whole team. Celestial GG might be good on paper, but it's only the damage you're dealing while using other guns. Now imagine Storm which might add more damage to the overall total than GG, because of extra jolting. And that's why proper tractor in raids is still an excellent option for supporting, because +30% weaken leads to 5x*1.3=6.5x totals for team + you can do your own shenanigans while debuffing boss. And even divinity with 15% only make it 5.75x but with much better consistency. Where is always a place for team-oriented gamestyles.
@@MikleKaneChannel I am aware lol, I was just adding a fun fact I noticed while testing, in this case you would have to run 3 tests to discover about how much GS was adding to others, and honestly that's finicky at best.
For anyone who hasn't tried it yet and are on Hunter, the Silkstrike super with Star Eater is actually quite good on the 2nd encounter of Vesper's Host. I was quite surprised, especially considering I've never cared much for that super in general, but it holds up pretty nicely in that encounter during damage phase
Ok but like what if, blight ranger taunted enemies so that everything shoots at it? You got an ad dense boss and every red bar is reflecting damage back at the boss? I also think that teammates should be able to hide behind you.
Nah man just revert the entire thing, titan unbreakable’s GRENADE shield (while having the banner super equipped) generates unlimited orbs and has the same amount of duration extension, if not MORE if you cancel it right and that’s still on a grenade cooldown, not a super. Just dump the whole thing at this point an aspect is better than an exotic helmet combined with a bad super. It’s devastating.
@@Jacob-fl1wmit's not just an aspect lmao, it's an aspect on an irrelevant class (void titan) because you are locked to banner shield 😂, they're equally useless.
@@Samsonfs ive been using the build quite a lot in master nightfalls and while it does generate a boat load of orbs, you do actively take more of a passive approach to the fight - plus theres some times where you just instantly die from damage despite still having a chunk of your health left with the shield up, which kept confusing me, and cabal turrets dont extend the duration of unbreakable which is also weird.
One thing about one hit supers is that it allows you to do’s guns while the super does damage. Supers like behemoth of song of flame take the whole damage phase to get max damage. It would be interesting to see full damage with super and weapons
So why don’t we get spectral wit crazy damge and better tracking?!?! It is useless rn n I’ve tried msking builds for it (in PVE I know its not a pve super) its not even good at ad clear!
That's the whole point of Aegis's spreadsheets. Though that's a much more complicated discussion since it involves weapons, abilities, animation times, etc. This kinda thing is more of a way to get an idea of how things change from a before/after perspective. For example, when Bungie says that T-Crash + Cuirass will be the most damaging super in the game in a TWID, but then the buff/nerf %'s don't add up...but then when we actually test it in game, T-Crash *is* doing crazy damage :P It makes up for how the patch notes can be inconsistent or just wrong, and that not everyone digs into patch notes and the like.
12:21 With Spectral Blades, you're supposed to open with the heavy melee, then press the basic melee slowly as it picks up speed, not spam the button right away. I'm not saying the tracking is perfect, but it's better than what you might expect. Still, it's an ad clear super. Season after season, you guys keep asking Spectral Blades to do what it's not supposed to do.
Yep, as a Stasis Hunter main it annoys me that people keep saying the same for Silence and Squall. It’s meant to be a fire and forget crowd control super. If you’re asking for a DMG super, it’s up to Bungie to provide a new one for that reason. As for Spectral Blades, I would like for it receive buffs that would make it viable for GM’s, like increased survivability like Overshield per kills and makes nearby enemies volatile on kills.
I like how Celestial is one and done headshot so it has poor damage, but burning maul is one and done ranged no crit needed with almost twice the damage.
In fact, it's almost tragicomic. Reckless and incompetent decisions. There are few games where you see a team as stupid as Bungie. I'm happy not to touch this game again.
You know Bungie loves to preach class identity and then destroy it. The squishy DPS class now does the worst DPS across the board... make it make sense....
@@Hrs3playWhen it should be the other way around. Lower Survivability, Better Damage. Not unlike the Titans that had for so long, great survivability with great DPS.
the blight ranger results were lowkey interesting, I do see the potential for fights that have a lot of incoming fire if you manage to pull aggro using say an allied titan barricade. I kinda wanna know how much it would have done if he had also gone for the explosion effect after the super was nearly done.
Hunters: *have a class specific exotic to make a super become a one and done super high DMG attack* (hits like a wet tissue) Warlocks: nova bomb ( by itself doing more dmg than the "broken and overpowered" hunter celestial shot) Titans: yeet (still one of, if not THE, biggest one and done dmg source in the game) But yeah let's nerf celestial and everything that's actually useful on hunter but buff stuff that's super niche and never used cause there are almost no use case for them like blight ranger
Bro bungie is always nerfing everything to hard, thats why hunter was the strongest for a while and then its titan again because hunter got nerfed hard. I dinner know why bungie just can make super to be more in line with each other. Like yeet and goldie should be about the same amount of damage.
@@PinkieBen (tldr: bungie doesn't allow hunters to have fun) ah yes that's why the main strat on DSC was just yeet titans to one phase, either way, my point is that since there are more hunters and stuff gets out fast, whenever theres something fun or broken or OP, bungie nerfs it to the ground, and as you can see, the class specific exotic that is supposed to turn gold gun into a super high dmg one off attack is doing LESS DMG THAN BASE NOVA BOMB. And other classes usually take longer to get nerfed, I remember a few years back when immortal titan was a thing for at least 6 months
@@blazeonvidz6734 The one encounter where DPS is super short, yes the instant damage of Thundercrash was good (but lets not act like hunters and warlocks did nothing here either). Do you need to be reminded how useless Titans were against the Witness? And Thundercrash still isn't good there because you physically cannot reach him to use it on him. And 6 months? Shatterdive hunters were running rampant in the crucible for at least that long, don't act like Hunters are always persecuted. Side note: I think something was up with Nighthawk here anyways, cause comparing it to the numbers from Aegis's damage spredsheet, it shouldn't be doing less than base Nova at all.
So falling star and star eater both give 55 and 50% extra super damage respectively. Those are not bugged at all. It's just that bungee buffed base thunder crash more than what they said. Which I think is perfectly fine and I think thunder crash is in a great spot in the sandbox and does not need to get nerfed. It is not a ranged super that guarantees you safety
@@ThePackman627 I just hope the give Storm’s Edge the same treatment. I mean it literally faces the same danger as Thundercrash…but 3 times over. That thing should be one of the highest burst supers in the game by a landslide. It shouldn’t even be close.
@fridaysatjons1097 what best neutral game? And invis does not count as neutral game all on its own i don't think, since thats not only pure survival, but requires either an ability or defeating a debuffed enemy to activate.
THAT's why I've been struggling trying to solo the dungeon with Song of Flame. I was wondering why those damned brigs weren't dying as fast as they should
Love the videos as always, but you forgot the part of Blight Ranger that says ending the super early after deflecting enough damage will create a damaging burst. There's even a new charge meter in the bottom left that's called "Voltaic Mirror".
Bungie really needs to make us a Firing Range for testing purposes, The First Descendant has it, why is it so hard to get something like that in this game?
I always thought of Blight Ranger as a "Turn the adds numbers against them" kind of exotic. Like you pop it in a high populated room or area and use the adds damage to kill Champs or majors. Literally all the damage in the room aimed at you (which is a lot sometimes) is focused at a target of your choosing. Thus its lackluster damage in 1v1s because there's only one damage source to draw from. IE; the more damage coming at you = the more damage you'll do.
The ignition issue makes so much more sense then normal. Me and my wife were running dual destiny and her add clear capability with Lunas howl was abysmal and her damage output on Song was so bad. And I felt like Sunshot wasn’t acting right.
I wish they would add an exotic for Chaos Reach or Gathering Storm that made it do more damage and change the color to orange like the dungeon. Seeing how super overcharged arc energy is orange
The orange Arc energy we see Vesper Host isn't super-charged, though. It's an anomaly of arc energy, which even the Bray-tech AI admits is wrong as Arc energy cannot look that color.
@nobodyscomment929 the AI says "power draw of that anomaly is beyond safe limits, arc energy is not supposed to be that color" that pretty much means it is drawing significantly higher than normal power and in it's normal state the anomaly is a blue color like regular arc energy. The orange is from arc energy hitting a higher level energy state like how plasma can change colors depending on the energy levels
@traviszane5334 Honestly, super-charged arc energy being orange in color wouldn't make much sense. If we assume the color of arc energy is the result of the electrons moving from high energy states to lower energy states, than the blue arc energy should be more energetic than orange arc energy, as blue light has a greater frequency, thus energy, than orange light. Though, maybe me trying to justify something so clearly paracausal using real-world physics is pointless endeavor. Even still, I will remain part of the camp that believes that the Anomaly is simply "corrupting" arc energy resulting in its orange look as I find that to be much cooler explanation.
On a side note, it would be so cool to have darkness "prismatic" that completely changes the stuff we're used to and gives them different combined effects as well as new debuffs
@@griqs If i was the boss at Bungie i would remove all the roaming supers from Destiny 2 and replace them with all the new roaming supers that will be coming In Destiny Rising, I would bring the new supers to Destiny 2 the day Destiny Rising launched.... This would make people wanna play more Destiny 2 with a fresh take on some new roaming supers for D2.
God they NEED to do something to make spectral blade not be shit. It was good for like 1 patch with gwisin and then since then it's had no purpose. Giving it stacking damage bumps, but the targeting needs to be fixed. Sucks so hard that such a cool super is essentially useless across the board.
Personally, I hate the tonics. I despise potion buffs that you always gotta drink before a fight to beat it, I get that it's a cool mechanic to some, but having to constantly do so is tedious and annoying. If they lasted maybe 24hrs, yeah ok I just need to pop one each day. But at that point, why have the waste of time at all? Just give us the full perk without some arbitrary timer on it, because inevitably it'll run out mid-encounter.
So basically, you hate having to work for powerful abilities. And you don't need to pop them to win a fight. Bro, do some of you actually play the game?
Im fine with chaos reach not getting a damage buff as long as they revert the refund on cancel nerf. Chaos reach use to function as a great yellow bar deleter that was always up. That was its niche and it was great at it. Now it has nothing..
With the second encounter of Vespers, you don't need Star Eaters specifically to deal 2.2mil on Glacial Quake, there's enough small-Raneiks that normal Synthoceps will activate. Saves time grabbing all the orbs, but either way is good.
They really need to do more than just buff its damage. It’s gotta have that Bladedancer ranged melee, weaken on hits, SOMETHING to make it more than a sword that uses your super bar
One tip i have for people running raijuus. Cast Gathering storm while in a group of enemies and depending on the amount of them, you will get, at least from my experience, up to 50% of your super back. That "up to 50%" lines up with things like galanor for example.
The fact Blight Ranger needs even MORE to make it even slightly good at this point after the rework is just dreadful, why do they hate the helmet so much
@@Jacob-fl1wmthey don’t hate it but making a helmet based around reflecting shit back at the enemies was never going to be strong unless they made it do 20x damage back
Weird but fun damage on a setup specifically for mobbing. Use rime-coat turret on the boss then pop song of flame and spam melee. Surprised me honestly.
Bungie definitely made the ignition changes so that the 1st boss in Vesper's Host wouldn't get nuked. Then instead of only applying it to the boss, they applied it across the board to all enemies.
16:31 The nice thing about Blight Ranger is that it doubles as a defensive super. So if you’re up against a boss and their posse that won’t stop firing at you, one hunter can effect all that firepower back at the boss while everyone else does DPS Edit: Traveler damnit, I’ve gone and started another comments section holy war. ...You say that, but Hunters have been the meta for damage for a while. It peaked with Celestial+Still Hunt in Salvations Edge, where the Titan presence was nonexistent. Celestial literally just got nerfed by 5% vs Bosses to bring it closer in line regarding ease of use vs output.

Best way to use Shadebinder super is use Osmiomancy Gloves, pop two stacies to keep freezing the enemy over and over and shatter with your Shadebinder over and over.

It's probably not much of an increase, but if you pop transcendence before song of flame, it'll help speed up your snaps recharge to boost the damage by eliminating a bit of downtime
They don't want to do that and the nerf on Nighthawk is the proof of it, because it scales with Radiant and debuffs as well as Still Hunt despite being ass if Nighthawk isn't used vs bosses. Give thanks to all hunters also spamming golden gun during Pantheon that got the thing generating less orbs with Star Eaters
@@juanjodpr yeah but they nerfed the orbs of Golden gun and how much super energy you get from those orbs with Star Eater so the super spam is no longer possible. Imo at the very least they need to buff the scaling of Star Eater with Golden Gun. That combo should surpass Nova + Star Eater by a decent amount, since you need to be precise for 3 shots in a row and you need radiant on top of that. Bungie Ignition Nerf Question According to search results, a change was made to ignitions in Episode: Revenant, significantly nerfing their effectiveness when procced repeatedly. This nerf/bug reduces the damage of subsequent ignitions, with each consecutive ignition doing 40% of the damage of the previous one. This stacking reduction in damage continues until the 5th consecutive ignition, which does only 2.5% of the damage of the first ignition. Copied from search engine results. I was using db regularly before doing the dungeon but I didn't really notice it doing less dmg before then, but for sure at least since the dungeon came out, ignitions have been bugged.

For the ignitions I wonder if it’s because of the second encounter boss in the new dungeon. You could do infinite ignition chain and it would do a ton of damage.
So the big takeaway is that hunter supers suck across the board now. Like either Titan supers need a nerf or Hunters need a buff because holy cow what's the point?
Big streamer says so so it must be true is one of the wprst mentalities people adapt. How do Celestial Goldie and Gathering Storm suck? The goldie DMG here is wrong in the first place, because he wasn't radiant AND you get a bonus to DMG when instantly shooting it after popping the Super making it deal around 50% more than shown here. In testing around 750k. And it's instant from Range. Same trade off with Gathering Storm. It does around 100k less DMG than Stareater Tcrash for being ranged and usable on every single boss in the game. That's called a trade off. Have you seen a Titan Tcrash Witness? No. Because it's literally impossible. There's like 10 other examples for this in dungeons and Raids alike, where Tcrash is impossible to use. The only issue with Gathering Storm is it being stuck on a non prismatic Subclass. That's it.
@@delta_1632 What streamer is saying Hunter super damage is bad? Where did I say any streamer is saying that? Show me the Hunter super that compares to Twilight Arsenal or Behemoth Titan. What's the hunter super that does 2 million damage on it's own? Hunter supers are not getting the same ease of use as Titan with the high damage. Golden gun doesn't even necessarily need a huge damage buff, I'd prefer it could apply scorch or something to give it some synergy with the fragments.
@@albertga0810 YOU said that based on the info in this video. And if I got to tell you that you taking this videos information at face value without thinking, atztecross being a big streamer and therefore you are repeating what he said I don't think you will even get my points to begin with. You are deadass trolling if you are honestly taking Behemoth as a benchmark in super DMG. If the Boss isn't an Ogre or bigger the DMG it does is worse than Spectral blades because the crystals don't hit. Not even talking about it taking like 20 seconds to do the full DMG, so doing 670k with a gathering Storm in essentially a second and then being able to shoot your guns makes it Gathering Storm better. You're not just gonna use gathering Storm or any One off super for that matter and then look at the boss. That's why they're meta because they allow you to do DMG from different sources essentially at the same time. You can't just look at the damage numbers in a vacuume. Context is very important to a supers strength like I just iterated or even explained in my previous comment. Behemoth super is the epitome of situationality that's why Riven and the new dungeon boss are the only ones where it is used. Remind me that's 2 out of how many bosses in the game where that super is viable? Now Twilight Arsenal. It is literally worse than Nighthawk. Cross used the axes which you never do. By itself Twilight Arsenal and Stareaters does the same damage as Gathering Storm, with a longer Animation than both it and Nighthawk. And that's with its own weaken. If you put weaken on a Boss yourself (which is really easy with any void grenade or just using Gls this season), every other "One of"- super in Bladebarrage, Gathering Storm and Silence and Squal (as long as Facet of Purpose isn't used) Hunter has access to outperforms it. And on the Topic of max DMG Arc Staff is literally the highest in the game with Stareater Raiden Flux, but nobody uses it because of the same reason as Behemoth. But hunters just like to complain don't they, because they're the only ones that don't know what their class is actually capable of nor its strengths.
Nah hunter supers are garbage now wtf 😂 GG, silence and squall, and gathering storm need a big buff. Just get rid of spectral blades and add a new roaming bow super
Finally, someone with a bit of sense - not sure why everyones hollering like its just broke the game, its been made even more niche than it used to be at this point
Hunter main here; been running S&S with spirit of galanor/star-eater The damage nerf is absolutely noticeable, and this let me know that most hunter supers are rn. Im grinding for Galanor/Gyrfalcon to give me a more reliable neutral game, but i think its better to stick to what i know and adapt. I do miss nighthawk tho. I wish they'd buff it.
btw ignitions have a weird bug going on with them causing them to not do as much damage, it could be a bug, or a shadow nerf, but it was never addressed by bungie.
Some people believe that this was done intentionally to prevent ignitions being the meta for the servitor boss in vespers host, and somehow it applies to the whole game not only the dungeon.
The exact numbers are: Any consecutive ignitions procced within 5 seconds of each other do 40% damage of the previous one. It stacks up to 4-5 times. So ignition-based dps is practically dead rn
If blight ranger had the aggro effect that titan barricades get it could genuinely be meta for harder raid encounters to protect the fireteam during damage.
Nighthawk now does less damage than a basic novabomb. This is what happens when devs give into a vocal minority. The majority of the playerbase (Hunters) get shafted and are left with no role to fill in the sandbox.
Titans whine about their class identity as if it isn’t defined by the walls and punches already. Before lightfall they all used peregrines void titan because the melees were busted and they got free overshield. When lightfall came out they had strand, most lfg groups refused anyone without a bow titan. And when final shape dropped the other classes got nice things and titans got more of the same so they whined and threw a tantrum. Titans are bungies favorite class. Not warlocks, not hunters. Admittedly, some of the changes were very good, like the taunt barricades and unbreakable and the new icefalls. They are super fun and add more layers to the titan class. But making their supers that strong wasnt great. They needed a buff sure but hunters didnt deserve to lose their one class trait for titans to get more to eat. Its really hard to describe what hunters do now, they arent tanks, they dont have the best abilities, they aren’t support, and they aren’t dps anymore. They do still have some rotations but warlocks and generally just better for that now, especially with base nova bomb doing more than both star eater and celestial. Hunters dont “do” much anymore, not even being a good generalist because In pvp, titans were hard meta for years, couldnt do anything except die to shoulder bashes and peacekeeper smg users and a super that almost guaranteed a win in comp and trials. When people figured out prismatic hunter it was admittedly frustrating, but only because it didnt allow dawnblade warlocks and titans free roam of the map; and now the titans act like hunters have always been broken. The titan mindset: if they arent the best at everything, they suck. However, I don’t think titans deserve to get things taken away, it will just repeat the toxic cycle and create more discourse in the already dying game. Bungie just needs to recognize that by buffing titans to this degree and nerfing other classes that they are creating this discourse. Bungie should do what they did with titans to the other classes and help define the class identities more. Hunters are either supposed to be the sleuthy mobility class but their class stat barely benifits that, so maybe they could lean into that because they seem to dislike buffing dps on them. For warlocks they could have more diverse options to choose what their abilities do to make them a better “space magic” class.
I'm not even going to dignify this level of reddit whiner salt. Titans have had a grand total of 5 usable exotics at any given time, and with luck an outlier that catches a buff JUST RIGHT and becomes useable or blatantly op for a week, disincluding the OEM menace, which I can even agree went on too long. Synthoceps. Wormgods. Loreleis. Curaiss. Peregrine. Hunters HAVE always been broken and I'm not pretending. You not remember shatterdive ffs? Theres been MILLIONS of things like that that get left UNTOUCHED in hunter kit without being looked at for MONTHS on end. Not to mention build vareity. I've mained warlock for the past 3 months because titan just lacks flavor. Melee but Red? Melee but many monke slam? Melee but GREEN?? VERY VERY Rarely do titans get lucky and break that mold. I have RIGHT NOW, full loadouts on each character. TItan has; Arc Melee Spam with Insurmountable skullfort. Strand melee bullethell with Wishful Ignorance. Lorelei Splendor Self heal minihammer melee spam. Second chance melee spam. My PVP glaive build with feedback fence on VOID. My Stronghold 2 sword and Midnight coup setup, Consecration spam, and then the spiciest one of them all ONLY AVAILABLE AFTER FINAL SHAPE Rocketman spam. and then my nonviable Stasis crystal spam build I made for onslaught during ITTL, that I NEVER used. with remaining slots being meme builds like sweet business. HUNTER: I have my ENDLESS Invisibility build. Roomwipe ignition build, I've got the Liar's Handshake Melee build that does a titans job better. I've got a slippery gapclose bakris build, I've got the shadowshot orpheus rigs build that gives my super back every 1m 30s. I've got my ENDLESS BLIND bombadeirs build. I've got my default Strand lockdown build with the Mothkeepers, Whirling maelstrom/threaded spectre utility set, a new one for private matches with balance of power, and then a different void set using gyrfalcons, and Buried Bloodline that is literally busted. renewal grasps with frost armor spam, and the last one is an old foetracer build I need to reset. WARLOCK has the TIMELESS sunbracers build, I've got an add clear crown of tempest jolt spam build, a very elegant but simple osmiomancy stasis lockout build, endless suspend matiodoxia/Wish Keeper, my Briarbind child of the old god build with Collective obligation, my Swarmers threadling overload build, my current favorite build of all time the song of flame/Speakers Sight build. Eye of another world Prismatic build, the "Preschool" build with Getaway artist, Meesomes warpspeed build without novawarp, Spirit of Necrotic Spirit of synthos one Lightning surge, and my no brain "I've got Div" build for Cenotaph when I really don't feel like playing finger DDR for a damage rotation. Go through all of that. One of these things is not like the other; ITS TITAN! Every one else has options. Variety. FLAVOR. Titans have at most 3 function builds that are in different flavor, and JUST NOW can break into a more colorful world where you can actually do some decent damage. As for PVP; Hunters have ALWAYS had the edge with their dodge. Prismatic isn't just strong, ITS OPPRESSIVE. not to mention that your new super is literally just Tcrash x3. Not to mention the threaded spectre/smoke radar spam made it better off just turning off the hud. You are literally ignoring EVERYTHING that hunter has had. I BEG YOU. Log off for a week, come back and play a different class for an hour each time you play. Hunter is fine. Yes some of the nerfs are bullshit and I can agree, but its not HALF as bad as youre acting like they are.
@@demithevampireking4285 lol, you say you aren’t going to dignify my whining and then you provide no insight at all into the issues. I do my discussion here because i dont need to bother any irl people with it and this way its convenient for people to respond at their pleasure. At no point did I say that warlocks were bad and had no builds. I didnt say that hunters had no builds either, its just that they lost their class identity with the nerfs to them and buffs to titan supers. Ive been playing titan nonstop this season because of how much fun it is with several builds for pvp and pve. Ive been playing warlock with getaways and dawnblade in pvp because of how good it is. This branching out is what prompted the realization that hunters dont really have much of a class identity anymore. Again, the entire point of my exposition was to address the strengths and weaknesses of the classes and how people who just complain create more division in the playerbase. I agree, shatterdive was broken for a few months and the new super is incredibly dumb. I also admit im not the best at pvp, only ascendant 3 peak. But after playing the other classes for a bit i can confirm the only reason people think dodge is so broken is because it allows hunters to move and escape: what they are supposed to do, its a dodge. And its frustrating to fight against because its harder to get aggressive and push. Prismatic hunter with the smoke bombs and spectre got nerfed several times already, and if the radar pings are that much of an issue that might just be people needing to learn how to play around it more, it is still new after all. Titans are still extremely good, especially just base behemoth which i think has flown under the radar. Ive been using it a lot in comp and the movement is the best in the game barring dawnblade with snapskates. Other titan subclasses are still really good in pvp, like void with peacekeepers or anything with dunemarchers. Some of the titan kit lets them stay alive in their pushes or wipe the whole team, like replenishing overshield and health, chain melee damage, and diamond lance. In pvp, hunters seem so oppressive to titans because pushing and getting aggressive is what titans are good at there, but in turn they have potentially the weakest neutral game out of the 3 classes. Hunters are good at denying pushing and holding space and moving around the map efficiently, which is what they were designed to do (which is also why the new super seems out of place for them). In turn they arent good at pushing unless they are on strand or using grapple/bakris. Warlocks can do nearly anything, with dawnblade and electro slides for pushing. void melee, child of the old gods, arc buddy, charged nades, and rift for holding space. Hunters used to lack in that department for around a year, with the smoke being virtually useless besides a radar ping, swarm nades being not very popular, and threaded specter only being available on strand. For that very long period, titans ruled pvp because it was impossible to stop them, arc being king, then void. It seems worse now because the two other classes got better at their neutral game roles while the titan only got better at pushing, making it harder for them and making them no longer the best possible pick. You mentioned how titans had different melee builds. Well that because titans are advertised as such to people. And there were plenty of builds for them, many of which, albeit, surrounding melee, but quite a few not entirely defined by them. Like hoarfrost on stasis for shatters and ad clear, or crest of alpha, lorely, cradle, or scars with sunspots on solar for support, severance with solar bonk hammer is what i used before final shape and had lots of fun (really do try it out its my personal fav). Theres plenty of ability regen builds for every subclass with inmost light, mask of the quiet one, ashen wake, and skullfort. However most titans gravitated to the “meta” builds like peregrines on void and synthos/wormgods on strand. Just seems like they didnt want to expand on their builds and explore. Nowaways they are just the best in every activity with very few exceptions, they might be the best for witness too if the axe nerf wasnt that bad. Im glad titan is good, at no point did i say that i disliked the changes, icefall titan and ursa titan are my go to pve builds and behemoth dunemarchers in pvp. What happened is that titans got their identity tuned up even though they did have one and people were ignoring it in favor of being envious of other classes. What I wanted was for bungie to give the other two classes their own tune ups as well to bring them in line with titans, who are probably going to be the best class for a long while. Even you could recognize that the hunter class stat is horrible, except maybe for some quality of life in pvp. At the moment they dont have anything that the other classes cant to better besides omni invis, making them lack variety, flavor. Titans should not be nerfed, the other classes should be changed (not just damage buffed) to be in line with titans. If you want to i would love to play destiny with you sometime so we could discuss more about the game. It would be nice to talk to someone who is also interested in this aspect of the game.

There’s just something about these damage testing videos that always have me locked in
One thing missing is "eDPS" (effective), which means dividing the total damage by the time it takes to fire the super (assuming you can shoot guns before and after this.
Example Loadout / rotation (Witherhoard / Persuader / Edge Transit)
Shoot Witherhoard -> prime 2 Persuader Shots (for your Cascade / BnS Edge) -> use Super (everything stays active long enough) -> unload Edge Transit between the Cast time and therefore initial freeze you should almost perfectly start reloading your Edge transit once it's about to go empty, simply enabling you to keep firing. and fully unload all your BnS Shots in one go.
How much damage have you put out in dmg phases with that rotation? Like actual numbers
@@Karuvattoso the damage would actually go down, I tested this before and the jolt damage goes to your teammates, not you
@@Naturelance4i mean makes sense
I was waiting the 3 weeks for this vids thanks cross🙏
Glad to see Thundercrash doing decent numbers
thx for the effort u put into these videos my man🤙
Fr so much time to do all this 😂🔥 fun to watch
I mean you can use damage over time weapons with those supers as well
So why don’t we get spectral wit crazy damge and better tracking?!?!
For example, when Bungie says that T-Crash + Cuirass will be the most damaging super in the game in a TWID, but then the buff/nerf %'s don't add up...but then when we actually test it in game, T-Crash *is* doing crazy damage :P
It makes up for how the patch notes can be inconsistent or just wrong, and that not everyone digs into patch notes and the like.
Thank you for adding sfx to the standing desk.
Keep in mind that he had 3x roaring flames on for burning maul and did not have radiant or knock em' down on for golden gun.
5:15 Thank you for that sound effect🤣🤣
the blight ranger results were lowkey interesting, I do see the potential for fights that have a lot of incoming fire if you manage to pull aggro using say an allied titan barricade. I kinda wanna know how much it would have done if he had also gone for the explosion effect after the super was nearly done.
5:15 that sound effect will now be what plays in my head every time he sits on the yoga ball lol
Hunters: *have a class specific exotic to make a super become a one and done super high DMG attack* (hits like a wet tissue)
Warlocks: nova bomb ( by itself doing more dmg than the "broken and overpowered" hunter celestial shot)
Titans: yeet (still one of, if not THE, biggest one and done dmg source in the game)
But yeah let's nerf celestial and everything that's actually useful on hunter but buff stuff that's super niche and never used cause there are almost no use case for them like blight ranger
Yeet was well behind everything else before this update lol

THAT's why I've been struggling trying to solo the dungeon with Song of Flame. I was wondering why those damned brigs weren't dying as fast as they should
LET THE DAMAGE TEST BEGIN
You'd need some team coordination. Blueberries will just clear the adds and ruin your damage.

Completely agree!
Agree. Not even bothering with it half the time
I agree with finding them arbitrary, but they aren't necessary to use, and it's not like you're going to hamstring yourself if you don't.

Vesper dungeon, the encounter with all the servitors. Tether, nova warp, behemoth titan 👀
Prine example of why hunter supers need a much larger buff to compete with song & flame, thunderclap, novabomb, glacial quake, etc

That’s supposed to be the whole point of the hunter a glass cannon but clearly they took the super from the hunters and gave it to the crayola crew I guess they just threw the lore accurate side of things right out the window
@@bob5154 tf you mean "they threw the lore accurate side of things out the window"? And the hunters super that did make it can’t be buffed to get it higher and it’s not even the super doing the damage and it’s very very very situational and can’t be used that way on so many bosses. I get the lore is vastly different to how the game actually plays but in general each kind of has its own role and titans this season are all 3 wrapped in one
It's probably not much of an increase, but if you pop transcendence before song of flame, it'll help speed up your snaps recharge to boost the damage by eliminating a bit of downtime
Man Golden Gun + Nighthawk/Star Eater doing less than Base Nova is sad.
The base marksman super needs a 20-30% buff against bosses.
Honestly I think the most egregious thing is that Golden Gun + Star Eater also does pathetic damage and unlike Nighthawk it doesn’t benefit Still Hunt.
Imo at the very least they need to buff the scaling of Star Eater with Golden Gun. That combo should surpass Nova + Star Eater by a decent amount, since you need to be precise for 3 shots in a row and you need radiant on top of that.
I still think the best case scenario should be to buff base Golden Gun as the super is almost useless without Star Eater or Nighthawk.

Golden gun has to be the easiest super to use in this game so I don't understand why it should do more damage than supers that take more risks
the ignition damage isnt the only bug out right now, apparently (in my experience) if you use monte carlo and proc the melee, then pop glacial quake, you can't melee because it replaces your super melee with the weapon melee which you can't switch to or off of while in that super.
Hey big tip for warlock winters wrath super, you can cancel out the second wave of projectiles from the ranged attack by activating the pulse as soon as the first wave of projectiles are sent, this extends the super and increases the DPS on single targets by focusing on the shatter damage rather then the projectiles.

But considering it’s meant to be an ad clearing exotic. Actually giving it a good super energy refund method will be more than enough. Not the shitty one it has right now.
Bungie Ignition Nerf Question
According to search results, a change was made to ignitions in Episode: Revenant, significantly nerfing their effectiveness when procced repeatedly. This nerf/bug reduces the damage of subsequent ignitions, with each consecutive ignition doing 40% of the damage of the previous one. This stacking reduction in damage continues until the 5th consecutive ignition, which does only 2.5% of the damage of the first ignition.

I was using db regularly before doing the dungeon but I didn't really notice it doing less dmg before then, but for sure at least since the dungeon came out, ignitions have been bugged.

That is because nobody was using it correctly. Everyone would get up in the bosses' face when in reality the whole source of the super's damage relies on shattering crystals. Ruined behemoths whole game and is still a stigma stuck on some titans out there.
The should make spectral like the O.G. Blade dance supe, basically sending out waves of damage
Nah hunter supers are garbage now wtf 😂 GG, silence and squall, and gathering storm need a big buff. Just get rid of spectral blades and add a new roaming bow super

Update-to-the-game to ignitons-do-less-damage is a true combo every time.
Some people believe that this was done intentionally to prevent ignitions being the meta for the servitor boss in vespers host, and somehow it applies to the whole game not only the dungeon.
The exact numbers are:
Any consecutive ignitions procced within 5 seconds of each other do 40% damage of the previous one. It stacks up to 4-5 times.
So ignition-based dps is practically dead rn
@@diegocj02 they just feel almost "too" low for me to believe that it was a nerf tbh
That’s surprising about ignitions because I did a 1200 kill onslaught solar game the other day with dawn chorus.

We are officially suffering
I think Bungie are afraid of Hunter DPS after Salvation’s Edge world’s first. So to make themselves feel better they buffed titans.
Hunters dont “do” much anymore, not even being a good generalist because
In pvp, titans were hard meta for years, couldnt do anything except die to shoulder bashes and peacekeeper smg users and a super that almost guaranteed a win in comp and trials.
