@@alpha5873 you need the skills to back up your ego. If you are better than the people on your team pass only in situations when you aren't confident you can score.

I really never thought that a sports anime would care so much about ego, yet implement it so well! I kinda think i should start to give my self a bit of an ego boost. I haven't really been in that many crappy situations, but it does get really annoying when people are passive-aggressive, or just straight up rude to me, and i feel like i just have to take that, without saying anything. It’s so cool to hear other people using Blue Lock as a template to self-improve! I wish we had more media like it. I think my big take away from the anime so far is in the first episode where Yoichi chooses to go after a challenge than an easy victory. I’ve had a creative block for awhile, but i’ve been slowly able to get through it by doing little challenges for myself and it’s helped a lot. Something about Chigiri’s story that’s so interesting is how later in the anime, he talks to Nagi about his leg. He claims that every time he runs, he does it like its the last time he’ll run. That way, if he does hurt his leg again, he’ll have no regrets. I recently applied that to a situation to motivate me to live by my new values. I have lingering anxiety, but I don’t have regret. Feels much better.
Fascinatingly, you point out that this is not about anyone else or comparing ourselves with others. This is about reaching your own highest potential. It is a one-player game. And it is found when you stop looking at anyone else at all. And just look “up”. That is not “ego”. The stuff of the other “too far” people in this anime. That is simply pure aspiration and understanding of yourself.
One of the priorities i find when trying to follow what you truly aspire to be is to completely let go of the "what ifs" that drag you down, instead of thinking "what if I fail" think "what if I stay the same?", "What if I succeed?", "What if this fear that I feel is what's holding me back from the future that I seek?" Let that what ifs motivate you. Let them push you forward. Not hold you back.

Honestly, I believe there's a mindset for every area in life, depending on what you wanna achieve. In soccer I found this one to be spot on. Some people say it's childish but I find it more childish to think that "the magic of friendship" is gonna carry you to victory.
I literally have no interest in football, but this is still my favorite anime of 2022 and is probably gonna go in my top ten. I've gone ahead in the manga and damn blue lock is so good. It's definitely made me a better version of myself. a bit of ego is honestly important

Ego is a very important part of all of us but at the same time it shouldn't be taken to the extreme. I went to something similar to you where I was picked on untill I snapped and turned into a bully myself a proper A class asshole. My point being both of the extremes are bad the middle is the optimal place to be imo. Also good luck with hitting 30k I'm sure you'll hit it as long as you're consistent. You've got this 💪.
ego is just like another adjective, people associate it with negativity for some reason. we’re quite opposite since I, and other people around me, believe that i can pull off crazy things yet i never have good enough motivation to do any of it. I don’t like being average tho so maybe one day i’ll enter my blue lock arc
I was a weirdo in middle school and made myself the most egotistical asshole, I didn’t understand how I was meant to master my pride until I watched blue lock
I had watched 5 episodes of the show, and listened to all the rest of your Blue Lock lessons, when I came to this final video wondering: How do I find my weapon? And this final video answered it for me
This series hooked me on the trailer and got me to read the manga right after two episodes and as i kept going i got the impression of the ego that jinpachi was trying to teach them was something of the lines of "if you think you are the best you will be" which is something that i put into practice a few times in my day to day life even if it's not in athletics it gives this drive to become something more than your past self and to disregard others if it meant self improvement or potential victory in the challenges you might have. well that's my take at least
“If you don’t dedicate your life to reaching the top, what’s the point?” Jinpachi does advocate putting yourself above the collective but the prerequisite is that you’re trying to be the Champion not just being self centered or narrow minded.
I knew i have to stand up for myself these days but i kept letting terrible jokes at my expense, i realised why i was so happy last year. Its because i stopped caring if they liked me or not, i knew that but that fear of rejection seeped into my life at the end of 2022. Now i understand, its okay to be selfish
How so? I don't actually play soccer so for me it was more of a personal thing but I've always been interested to hear what people who actually play thinkb
@@LessonsFromAnime I play club and don't have the best coach. I was always quite down and depressed while playing and started to not like the sport. Then I heard the speech and it changed something in me. When i decided to play a little more for myself and think of myself a little bit higher, I not only started to improve, but I also started having more fun with the sport.
I think we have left out (to use the anime's symbolism) a crucial piece of the puzzle in the equation to success here: ability. Self-confidence, or ego, is a good and necessary thing, no doubt about that. But it needs to be accompanied and firmly founded in something undeniable or unshakable, otherwise it's just empty positive thinking with its feet firmly planted in mid-air. And it is only a matter of time before the lies of self-doubt start to creep in again when the rubber meets the road. You used Chigiri as an example, and said his ego (or self-confidence) came from "wanting to be the best and carry on doing what he loves". I respectfully beg to differ; it actually came from his undeniable track record as a player with exceptional speed. His strong desire to be the best striker acted as the trigger to help him break the chains, but it would have meant nothing if he did not have the chops to back it up. In fact, all the players in Blue Lock have a weapon; none of them are weapon-less. That's what they could base their ego on at the start, and then they developed themselves from there. To use an analogy, a Kia Picanto will never be able to perform like a F1 race car, no matter how much positive thinking or ego or self-confidence on the part of the driver. For Chigiri, it was a case of a driver with self-doubt driving a F1 car really slowly. But the moment he regained his confidence, he floored the pedal and the F1 car took off. Ultimately, you still need to back up your ego with something, be it a past track record, a new training plan or system, new equipment or gear, or even money. Yes, the confidence or ego is important, but it has to be able to give a good answer when life asks: "And what makes you think you can do that?"
Good explanation. A Kia picanto cannot perform like an F1 car, but if you slowly change each part over time you can transform a Kia picanto into an F1 car. It started as a picanto but it ended up a totally different car. If you lack the ability, you have to slowly build it up from the smallest root till you find yourself performing at the level you want, completely different from who you were before. Building yourself up and putting yourself in the position where when opportunity arrives you can grab hold of it effortless.
I want to be the best striker out of all my friends and also I want to be the top student in my class, that's my ego. Most of my friends tell me I'm not good enough or not that smart, but who cares. My goals are not theirs, they are all solely mine and I'll do whatever it takes to achieve it. I'm slowly getting better at football and is actually getting a good grade for the subject that I'm extremely weak at which is maths. I'll continue to drive myself forward in life thanks to this life-changing anime. Edit : and hey I guess you already achieved what you wanted which is 30k subs so congrats man. 👏
i think a lot of time people look at egos as something disrespectful towards other but you can build a respectful yet strong EGO. not a weak EGO thats disrespectful towards others
Got my Sub, After watching several of your videos this is the first time I noticed you had only 500 Subs, thought you had like 100k or so. Good Luck on your Journey, I will comment on each video to boost you for the YT algorithm
Blue lock is the anime not only teach you about ego but it also teaches you to become the main character of your story. Become the best version of you. Do what you do, Don’t listen to anyone that turn you down and listen to the love ones like family. But most of all. Always act up and do what it is needed. No one else will do it besides you so that is my ego. The main character ego😂
I started applying these to valorant ever since i watched blue lock and i went from being a mid tier player to almost always being team mvp, what makes it feel better too is i dont play nearly enough to warrant how well i do, i started the season off at bronze 1, and in one day i reached silver 2
i only really have an ego in football. anything else im sorta just a loser. i wanna change that but tbh idrk how. i tell myself to have an ego but i know that just telling myself wont do anything and that i need to change my actions but idek what i need to change
i am 50/50 i do what my ego wants me to be... a bully(verbally) or to look down on everybody else. Because thats what gives me joy in school and no one will pick a fight on me because they are afraid. But I do sometimes act for others who will just take it for granted i dont know why so I act more selfishly. Lying to my friends that I dont have money when we eat in mall. But I find more fun is taking revenge without my enemy knowing it feels so good. I sometimes do prank to my classmates without them knowing example of this is when i have tic tac and i go to toilet and i do crazy things by first putting each bean in my nose i will then spit on it and then lastly piss on it and wait for it to dry and put them back to the container and give to my classmates.
Before watching blue lock I never shot because I lacked self confidence and didn’t want to be greedy. After watching and reading blue lock I still lack self confidence…
Hey, so I just rewatch this vid, and I thought of Kageyama (Haikyuu) back in Junior High. He was so egoistic, nobody listens to him or even respond for that matter. Even his coach had given up on him regardless of how talented he is. My question is how to be egoistic without being an asshole or irritating to the point that no one wants to work with me? Because some things can only work out in well-organized groups.
Brilliant point, and expect a LOT of Haikyuu content from me once the new season hits! I think it's simply best to keep your ego an internal thing "I can do this, I will manage this, I'll keep training until I do this" etc. rather than an external thing of putting down others
@@ayanbhattacharjee1076 That reminded me of that one scene where he wants his teammates to try harder even though they were already winning or something so his team just let his pass hit the floor as they stare him down. He was so traumatized he had to switch schools.
I would love to see Chigiri getting injured again. As much as i love the "better die trying than to not trying" trope it isn't as simple as that. Our body are still human and can break. Realistically if a player like chigiri started to play again at 100% all the time, he would get a injury down the line. And that can mean the end of his carrer. Once that happens how do you navigate through that? Finally accept the bittersweet truth that you will never be able to reach it? but, hey, at least you tried. Or keep dragging yourself to the field while you have no chance to ever run decent again. Or do you just choose to change your goal and start pursuing something else? This a question i would like to see some perspective on.
Late comment but watching Barou go through despair and doubling down on himself made me turn it all around. It isn’t me that is wrong it’s everything around me. That’s why I hate everyone’s opinion that doesn’t make sense. It’s because it doesn’t make sense it doesn’t apply to me. I am right and I need to take my path, MY WAY. Blue Lock literally changed my life. It’s fucking insane to say that.
I was cheated on, with one of my bfs and at the same time i Lost My whole friend group around 10 yrs down the drain. Only 1 of those Friends was an actual mature and adult person, he tried explaining to me my lcack of ego and self worth, so he recommended Blue Lock and i'm working towards My comeback
This reminds me how Food Wars - Shokugeki no Soma expressed the same theme by expressing two characters. Soma and Megumi Soma was arrogant, he was focused on his goal and didn't see that much whats around him. He never for a second thought about crashing dreams of others. However, his arrogance gave him huge confidence, concentration and creativity all skills necessary to succeed. Megumi was always nice to others. Trying very hard to not offend others. However all of that made her timid as a result she had too many doubts and extra thoughts. Because of that she had very low concentration, and stress made her fail many times. Even though she worked hard, it was more of effortless self-torture that didn't lead anything as she lacked confidence was too low, because she didn't put her ego in it Over time she managed to develop her ego, so that she could survive in academy Mayumi was basically same as Megumi. Except due to never developing her ego she completely went into shadow. She never managed to tell Soma her feelings for him, and he forgot about her.
I find myself both agreeing and disagreeing with your perspective, as it touches on a complex interplay between right and wrong. While I typically refrain from commenting, I believe ego holds significance, particularly in certain circumstances. It becomes crucial when striving to surpass personal limits or when faced with adversity, where one's sense of self-worth becomes paramount. There are moments when you must assert yourself, confidently proclaiming your ability to exceed expectations and overcome challenges with unwavering determination. As an athlete, I often draw upon this aspect of ego, especially in intense basketball games. While I maintain humility, there are instances when being down by a considerable margin and sensing a loss of morale among teammates necessitates a bold display of self-assurance. In such moments, ego becomes a driving force, eclipsing mere confidence and humility.
In this case, I feel as if your misunderstanding what the true definition of ego and confidence. Standing up for yourself and viewing yourself as higher than you think you are is ego but also rather being confident the saying that comparing yourself while critiquing other people to make yourself feel better is a part of ego and is one of the main things that differentiate ego from confidence but is portrayed in the video as being "egocentric" when its really just having confidence within yourself. But this is just my opinion everyone has their own perspectives on this interesting topic but hears my take.

Yeah I agree, there's definitely a balance, which is why I think someone like Chigiri is a great example, unlike Barou he doesn't take it too far
Good Luck on being popular!
Amazing video
This has done more to boost my self-confidence and drive for success than ANYTHING the red-pill community has put out.
Ah don't be watching that stuff man, but I'm glad it helped :)
rp community became cringe man. just improve yourself and be a good person like YT vid said
@@Ookiimo red pill community was always cringe and toxic 💯.
You did it!!!!! 30,000 subs, Congrats!
🎉
Good balance of ego is something that is decently hard to achieve, but definitely something people should focus on
Good video 👍
Cheers man!
ego is just like another adjective, people associate it with negativity for some reason. we’re quite opposite since I, and other people around me, believe that i can pull off crazy things yet i never have good enough motivation to do any of it. I don’t like being average tho so maybe one day i’ll enter my blue lock arc
You earned yourself a subscriber king 👑
Cheers bro :)
Im impressed and i loved this video!
Cheers man!
You earned yourself a subscriber. Keep going!!
Cheers bro!
It’s 2024 and you have almost 60,000 subscribers, double what your goal was
I liked your ego, good luck and you have my sub you will get big :)
Cheers man, the channel is certainly growing quickly so far!
30k subs in a year, well you got that you make some amazing content !
Cheers man :)
I was a weirdo in middle school and made myself the most egotistical asshole, I didn’t understand how I was meant to master my pride until I watched blue lock
bro you make banger content, hold up while I watch your entire library
Haha hope you enjoy bro!
I had watched 5 episodes of the show, and listened to all the rest of your Blue Lock lessons, when I came to this final video wondering: How do I find my weapon?
And this final video answered it for me
Almost at the goal keep going
This series hooked me on the trailer and got me to read the manga right after two episodes and as i kept going i got the impression of the ego that jinpachi was trying to teach them was something of the lines of "if you think you are the best you will be" which is something that i put into practice a few times in my day to day life even if it's not in athletics it gives this drive to become something more than your past self and to disregard others if it meant self improvement or potential victory in the challenges you might have. well that's my take at least
“If you don’t dedicate your life to reaching the top, what’s the point?”
Jinpachi does advocate putting yourself above the collective but the prerequisite is that you’re trying to be the Champion not just being self centered or narrow minded.
You'll do it. Trust in the process and trust in yourself. That's what ego is also about.
Cheers bro!
I play soccer in the states and I kid you not. Jinpachi Ego’s speech legitimately changed the way I play soccer for the better
Beautifully said👏🏾
Cheers my man :)
I just subscribed bro now you're almost 30k. Good luck man!
These videos must be so weird to watch now I'm actually at the goal lol
I want to be the best striker out of all my friends and also I want to be the top student in my class, that's my ego. Most of my friends tell me I'm not good enough or not that smart, but who cares. My goals are not theirs, they are all solely mine and I'll do whatever it takes to achieve it. I'm slowly getting better at football and is actually getting a good grade for the subject that I'm extremely weak at which is maths. I'll continue to drive myself forward in life thanks to this life-changing anime.
Edit : and hey I guess you already achieved what you wanted which is 30k subs so congrats man. 👏
You'll get there bro!
after watching blue lock its change my life i felt different but i know i must find out what this means and this video helped
i think a lot of time people look at egos as something disrespectful towards other but you can build a respectful yet strong EGO. not a weak EGO thats disrespectful towards others
it's not to disregard your teammates, but to believe you are the best on that field. in any sport.
Keep it up king
Ego is a great inspiration.
Got my Sub, After watching several of your videos this is the first time I noticed you had only 500 Subs, thought you had like 100k or so.
Good Luck on your Journey, I will comment on each video to boost you for the YT algorithm
Haha cheers man!
The main character ego😂
thank you for the video
really cool concept for a channel, you have a sub, and i hope you reach your goal.
I started applying these to valorant ever since i watched blue lock and i went from being a mid tier player to almost always being team mvp, what makes it feel better too is i dont play nearly enough to warrant how well i do, i started the season off at bronze 1, and in one day i reached silver 2
another banger
Cheers man!
Legit... thanks to this Series.. I've decided to get my But up and move... unleash your egos..🙌🏻💯🙇🏽♂️
I hate being sidelined. I need ego. I need hunger constantly
A fact you helped and saved 76k people life
i only really have an ego in football. anything else im sorta just a loser. i wanna change that but tbh idrk how. i tell myself to have an ego but i know that just telling myself wont do anything and that i need to change my actions but idek what i need to change
Let's be the egoist our Hearts desire us to be
u got this g
Bruh when i start playing football with my ego i ended up shooting the ball to my friends nuts
Lmao
i am 50/50 i do what my ego wants me to be... a bully(verbally) or to look down on everybody else. I sometimes do prank to my classmates without them knowing example of this is when i have tic tac and i go to toilet and i do crazy things by first putting each bean in my nose i will then spit on it and then lastly piss on it and wait for it to dry and put them back to the container and give to my classmates.
naw this changed my life fr
@@LessonsFromAnime in shorts, be an egoistic to myself?
Yeah essentially, just keep it all internal
I don't remember any of that happening to Kageyama 🤔
@@ayanbhattacharjee1076
That reminded me of that one scene where he wants his teammates to try harder even though they were already winning or something so his team just let his pass hit the floor as they stare him down.
He was so traumatized he had to switch schools.
I hope you go beyond your goals this year and get your 30k subs ⚡
Me too man :)
Well you'll reach 30k.. I subbed too.. keep on content like this..
Cheers bro :)
@@LessonsFromAnime But I still think you have to aim for Barou level Ego to reach at least Isagi level one bro...XD
I feel like in a few seasons Isagi is gonna have a Barou level ego lol
@@LessonsFromAnime To survive Blue Lock, he's gonna need an even big one...XD
Fr, Rin and Nagi are just such well-rounded monsters, unless he improves his physical abilities he's never gonna top those two
Follow ego no fear
Everyone should strive to be like barou
I actually have a video on that haha
You’ll get to 30k
I sure hope so lol
Late comment but watching Barou go through despair and doubling down on himself made me turn it all around. It isn’t me that is wrong it’s everything around me. That’s why I hate everyone’s opinion that doesn’t make sense. It’s because it doesn’t make sense it doesn’t apply to me. I am right and I need to take my path, MY WAY. Blue Lock literally changed my life. It’s fucking insane to say that.
I love the way Blue Lock has given me "permission" to be very slightly selfish, such a good show
You dropped a hell of a bomb at 0:45
Lol that feels like years ago now, crazy how you stop caring after a while
holy cow earned by sub keep it up!
Will do :)
I was cheated on, with one of my bfs and at the same time i Lost My whole friend group around 10 yrs down the drain.
Only 1 of those Friends was an actual mature and adult person, he tried explaining to me my lcack of ego and self worth, so he recommended Blue Lock and i'm working towards My comeback
will check out thanks ,
One more subscriber in the Count.
Great video 📹 👍
alright bros time for this boy to stop being hard stuck silver and to hit immortal 3
please make more videos about blue lock and class of superiority
Definitely got some more Blue Lock ones coming up, but i've not heard of class of superiority?
This reminds me how Food Wars - Shokugeki no Soma expressed the same theme
by expressing two characters. Soma and Megumi
Soma was arrogant, he was focused on his goal and didn't see that much whats around him.
Even though she worked hard, it was more of effortless self-torture that didn't lead anything as she lacked confidence was too low, because she didn't put her ego in it
Over time she managed to develop her ego, so that she could survive in academy
Mayumi was basically same as Megumi. Except due to never developing her ego she completely went into shadow. She never managed to tell Soma her feelings for him, and he forgot about her.
I've never seen the show, but that does sound very similar to what I spoke about in Blue Lock, a degree of ego is honestly essential
Make videos abt Ayanokoji and Yuiichi bro
Abt their mentality and how Ayanokoji succeeds
I've not seen that anime before haha, will have to check it out sometime
