Its actually cool that they put this into an anime. In my highschool PE class we studied this, the different ways your mental and emotional state can effect you. Reaching flow requiring a balance between challenge, difficulty and competence. Also that if you want it too much or not enough will have an impact on your performance as well. Not groundbreaking stuff but better than a lot of anime explanations for character's performance
I can completely relate to this video and Ego's concept for self-improvement. When I read Blue Lock and stumbled upon this visualization, I couldn't help but think about not only football, but about art too. Musicians, painters, craftsmen, And me too. I'm a passionate story writer and I love to engulf myself in my ideas and I love the idea of having the power to direct the fate of a whole universe, only by the power of putting letters together and forming words out of them. I'm the one who's drawing a picture in the mind of my reader and I feel empowered imagining that. But I noticed how I oftentimes just did not have the power to finish things. I set my bar too low. I wrote fanfics bc I liked a character and aimed to write stuff about them, but I never really set a goal with that. And the state of boredom described these times really well. The anxiety however also is a huge issue, and I subconsciously aimed to solve the problem by improving my writing by writing fanfiction and getting better at telling a story, painting a picture in my readers' mind. Me and my best friend are thinking about creating a manga and well I'm in charge of the storytelling and the plot etc etc. But actually doing that is a goal that's far from what I can currently do, so I didn't even really get to actually write a script or so, I only have my countless ideas roaming around in my mind. I really want to get started but I am really scared that I might fuck things up by writing myself into a corner and destroying the story's flow or so. Right now on the other hand to the two examples above, I have found my state of flow and I am working on a work where I write about a series in which I was dissatisfied with the ending and try to fix this one by concluding the series in a better way than the original author did. And I do think that I'm going to be on a good way if I keep going and push through my lack of time and my occasional writer's blocks. I once read some chapters of that story that I wrote half a year ago and I was shocked to see how well I was phrasing things (I suck at that) and felt the flow of storytelling as a reader. I really felt proud of what I wrote and this once again proved to me that flow is a real thing. Anyway, thanks for reading that long-ass comment, I hope I did not waste your time.
Ok, so how exactly is One Piece different from the hundreds of shounen out there? Well, it isnt. It is exactly what a shounen should be. It follows the lose-train-win formula. So how is it any better? Bingo. Because it incorporates the formula into something fresh and simple. One Piece arcs can be surprisingly good. There were even times that I was shocked at some plot twists and revelations. It has a very interesting setting as well. And what might that be? The World. The whole world is One Piece's oyster. It varies from vast, scorching deserts to cold snowy mountains, the concept of adventure here is well defined, it really makes you feel that world isnt small after all. And that my friend, is what an adventure anime should really be. One Piece knows how to pull it off, be it comedy or serious, and believe me, One Piece knows how to be serious when it needs to be. But it never forgets its roots at the same time, I know it sounds super lame, it is the emphasis of friendship that glues the whole crew together. Most shounen anime's suffers immensely from originality. Because of this, it is hard to distinguish characters from each other, especially in my case as I have my fair share as an otaku. And most of the characters in em lack depth and substance, its hard to remember a character when you know very little about him. But One Piece is immune from this disease. Each character of One Piece is very... say....unique that you'll find it hard to forget about them. They all have their individual motives, strengths, weakness and even quirky traits. Plus, each individual of the Straw Hat Pirate Crew has an immersing past, that'll be hard for you not to delve into. And they all have a certain role, not one character gets overshadowed by the other. They do meaningful interactions with each other. And regardless, that each member is vastly different from each other, they all formed a formidable bond. Even the by-passing characters are memorable. In contrast to the majority, I find the animation to be creative. Just like how the characters are different and distinguishable. An anime doesn't need to be ripe to be good. It just needs to be entertaining. Although I do enjoy a deep, thought-provoking anime, an anime doesn't need to be complex to be satisfying. It can be anything, as long as it offers gratification. And One Piece does. Another potential problem is its popularity. Most people consider mainstream anime's to be somewhat of a failure because of its targeted demographic, and that is everyone. Do not judge One Piece from its fans. Judge it for what it is. Do not be mistaken, I am not saying One Piece is for everyone. In the end, it's all about taste. But if you have any hint of love for shounen surging in your veins, there is no reason for you not to watch this, not ONE bit. In short, the plot is very promising, the main cast is several but well flesh out, the battles are very diverse, and engaging and the comedy doesn't get old, even after 300 episodes. Regardless of this, the level of enjoyment I receive from One Piece is insurmountable. And sometimes that's all you need. Scratch that. Most of the time that's all you need.

@@justthebest2531 I'm not him but, if you don't mind. Here's how I reach flow. First thing first try to be in thinking state ( responding to thoughts and thinking are completely different things). Once you achieve that, you will be in flow state. Note:- don't get distracted by technology and brake your flow cycle like at all.
@Lessons From Anime mostly reading and studying, but been trying to achieve it in the gym and walking (just walk and don't think). Also been trying to do the opposite of flow: instead of letting your mind blank and your subconscious to do all the work, I've been trying to let it all out, don't constraint my brain and just think everything that it wants (but at the same time not losing focus)
@Just the Best practice, just before doing something important, I meditate/calm myself and listen to my favorite "flow songs." But in my routine, I just take an hour every day to read and just have 100% focus on an activity
The way I tell people there's so much to learn from anime, and the way you put this together Just amazing ! One of my favourite lessons from blue lock is how you prepare yourself to receive Luck, and that simply put, " Luck is where preparation and opportunity meet" and the fact that you changing doesn't mean the world or the people you know can see just how much you changed. once Again Amazing video! You will definitely reach that 40k Subs

Having a personal revelation recently and having an obsession with self-improvement, finding this amazing video feels like a god sent. You’ve helped me so I’ll help you! I can’t wait to see 30k in December with you.
Bro , honestly I requested this video on flow state and you replied with some kind of eyes emoji. I never thought that the next video would be on flow. Great topic and something very much needed
This video has helped me push past my limits in the gym, I’ve been stuck at the same weight for 3-4 months now being complacent with my lifts but now i finally want to push harder and reach for a high goal, tysm for the video :))
loved the message, something people should think about a lot more often that everything they do takes time especially if it's a high goal, i sometimes also get discouraged when trying to get better at something and thinking i havent done much progress or haven't improved much, even if it hasn't been that long, but i have to always remember that it takes time, sometimes a lot, so i can't give up on something only because i'm having an unrealistic expectation of that goal "it's because you're trying to do it too quickly" is a great sentence everyone NEEDS to hear beautiful vid as always man
its been years since I've wanted to work on my UA-cam channel but never started , I've been binge watching all of your videos and they motivated me enough to seriously start working on not just UA-cam but also getting my life together. hopefully by the time you upload your 30,000/ 40,000 sub video I've also managed to get closer to archiving my goals
I kept fitting the anxiety zone when I was trying to eat healthier. And going back it was a stupid thing to worry about. All i had to do was cook a home meal and make sure I have veggies meat some carbs and a fruit
It's a juggle, researching everything about healthy foods is anxiety, but "all I had to do is to do this and have that" might be too easy for you thus the boredom state. Try to to make healthy recipes/routines that's just the right amount of challenge.
Flow State is a state that brings me lots of joy... You just don't think, all instinct, I had moments of these where I just "lock in" and pop off whether its on sports, studies or video games Had moments of myself locking in when I was playing Badminton with a better player, playing against a smurf or the time I just aced an exam with just stock knowledge and instinct...
Nah, I clicked on this video cause i found your channel like a week ago and loved all your takes. I already knew how flow worked cause I read the manga.
I havent entered the zone in anything in months. I think my base level has gone way up in terms of just reflexes, better decision making, and mental endurance, but nothing has pushed me into that zone where everything works, I come up with crazy on the spot strategies, where afterwards my brain is just done and im spent. I miss that adrenaline rush of just going absolutely nuts and putting all my brainpower into something.
Great video! I've read once an advice on how to price a product. Just imagine the minimal price for which you will produce and sell it. Done? Multiply the price by two. I think it could be matched to accomplishments too. Multiply the minimal satisfoctory result by two, I think it will help to indentify "Flow State".
0:15 no way did u not know about the flow boredom anxiety chart before ego mentioned it, if the challenge is too low you are bored, if the challenge is too high u are stressed or anxious, but when they are around the same level or 10% up or down something u can make up if u rly try u enter flow. Now main problem is snapping yourself out of it as soon as you enter it.
Why would you even attempt snapping yourself out just as you enter the flow state? Isn't the point of the flow is to, ya know, _stay_ at the flow state?
the vinland vid boutta B fire i already know. Vinland and Blue lock are my favorite animes cause they have a philosophy to express rather than only a cool or "epic" story to tell. im a new subscriber and just as you said, don't forget that you can reach even farther than you know.
I needed to see this I was few months back trying to lose weight I was suppose to hit 175lbs before summer, but I reached halfway mark so fast that I started to take it easy and actually gained little bit weight and made it impossible to reach, because of the wasted time and gained weight.
Man your videos are great idk how i fit into this man i begun going gym in august 2021 after doing some home workouts and going a few times for 2 years and i went everyday 5 days a week for 8 months straight I prioritised it even more than my education at the time I just enjoyed it not really had a flow state and even now I am aiming for 100% in 3 of 4 exams I will have in the next month but I stay motivated and even when not I am disciplined enough to keep going but still dope theory from ego
I honestly feel that the best way to improve is to be patience’s with your routine and make it as a goal to achieve it. I see a lot of people what they don’t have is patience’s. Once you master being patience, than you will enjoy the long run for reaching out your goals.
New sub here. Thank you for making me realize new things. I already read and watched Blue Lock till its latest chapter and episode. But your videos made me rethink about the things I've heard/read in BL. Nice video, mate. THANK YOU!

I really enjoyed this video. Haven't seen much of your work ( this is like the 3rd video fromyour channel I see ) but it made me subscribe ! Keep up the good work
Your channel is gold, take your time and keep bringing those bangers. Many youtubers with rarer uploads but bringing only bangers are big af, dont let it distract you
Do a video about a confidence detox (very dangerous and and necessary aspect for flow state ) If you detox your confidence too much you will become less motivated but if did a right amount it will get you in to flow state too quickly and it will make a real confidence instead of a fake one
There's an interesting concept I've only seen handled well once in anime and I think it might make a solid video for you. It's specifically in durarara at the season 1 finale, when the izaya talks about the need to continuously evolve and the lack of satisfaction without it. As someone that has reached fairly lofty heights in some areas, I find myself thinking back to this scene a lot. There's almost nothing I enjoy more now that I'm good at it then I did when I was first starting and able to rapidly evolve. At this point, I think that sense of rapid growth means far more to me than any actual goal. It makes me want to get good at something just for the sake of feeling improvement, rather than a desire to use that attained skill and it's so compelling that it's hard to work at anything where I'm not rapidly improving.
I experienced flow during volleyball tryouts, I was going to have the second touch of the ball, my teammates said to pass it over to the other side, but all of asudden I had a bunch of energy, everything was in slow motion, my brain was working a lot faster, i knew where every player on both sides were at the same time, I saw a open space, quickly put in the calculations of who to set to, how fast, how long, the distance between the net to the ball, and the opponents reaction time for my set, so I set the ball and the person scored, I predicted the outcome before it even happened, it was the weirdest, craziest, most exiting thing I had to do playing volleyball
I apply this technique every single day, and it has really helped me keep going. Every day when i come home from school, I almost never want too keep on grinding, but once I get into it, I just keep going. This is all thanks to the goal i set myself. D1 in league of legends, here I come.
@@LessonsFromAnime Can you do a video on the subject of perfectionism? I think Mayuri's speech on perfection from Bleach would be really good to analyze. It is a lesson I still remember today, to not seek perfection but improvement.
you can also reach flow if the challenge is too great or impossible. it just depends if you have anxiety or not. flow is just absolute focus on the “hows” of your goal, not thinking of the “what ifs.”
How much time did editing took?? I am asking for myself cuz i am thinking to open a channel in my regional language. If possible Could u recommend me some videos
How much time did editing took?? I am asking for myself cuz i am thinking to open a channel in my regional language. If possible Could u recommend me some videos
So getting it flow state is about getting into a state of fun and excitement to the point where it doesn't get overwhelming and by putting a target to low or unachievable leds to boredom 🤔 so it be fair to say to build on interest and get rid of limiting resistance and continuing focus and alignment on why
bro let me the messenger of victory for you: 2 things: improve your voice clarity ( how good one can understand you ) after applying the first step higher your goal, you will absolutely shatter 30k at the end of this year if you keep improving go for 50k least, it is supposed to be scary, thats what shows you that your goals are good upload like 30+ high quality vids till the end of the year and ez. once you reach that goal and realize you shattered it you wish you would have gone for more
Yeah I definitely need to look into that first point, not too sure what I can do outside of buying a new mic, I think I need to try to change the way I speak first though
@@LessonsFromAnime ez bro, i think your mic is alright, try watching your videos and compare with other youtubers, what i am trying right now is talking exessively clear like the cringe clickbait youtubers nowadays, by overcompensating i get used to more clarity in my words
flow has different states on different things the flow you experienced could be totally different from others while the baseline to reach it remains the same how to reach it could change drastically and maintaining it
People think they'll have to set an intention by speaking you don't have to do that you have to know it not say it and when you know it you see it you say it you feel it and more
This is just my opinion about my understanding of a flow state. Doing easy tasks repeatedly will make you bored. Doing hard tasks abruptly will make you anxious. So set reachable goals, learn the basics, and practice them. If you fail, find the mistake, fix it, and improve it.
I love how the ego video and this video both build off of each other and have some of the same steps
Its actually cool that they put this into an anime. In my highschool PE class we studied this, the different ways your mental and emotional state can effect you. dude this was such a awesome video. It triggered so many chemical reaction's inside me. Keep up the good work man, you're gonna go really really far!
i needed this thank you
No worries, how did you manage to view this video though? I haven't actually released it yet haha
lol wtf
This was actually a really good video
Well done man
💪
Nah, I clicked on this video cause i found your channel like a week ago and loved all your takes. I already knew how flow worked cause I read the manga.
Surprised how good this video was.
I havent entered the zone in anything in months. I think my base level has gone way up in terms of just reflexes, better decision making, and mental endurance, but nothing has pushed me into that zone where everything works, I come up with crazy on the spot strategies, where afterwards my brain is just done and im spent. I miss that adrenaline rush of just going absolutely nuts and putting all my brainpower into something.
the information overload part really describes me at the moment
I actually didn't haha, I heard of flow but never saw the diagram
@@LessonsFromAnime ohh really, thought it's quite common, mb
Why would you even attempt snapping yourself out just as you enter the flow state? Isn't the point of the flow is to, ya know, _stay_ at the flow state?
the vinland vid boutta B fire i already know. Vinland and Blue lock are my favorite animes cause they have a philosophy to express rather than only a cool or "epic" story to tell. im a new subscriber and just as you said, don't forget that you can reach even farther than you know.
no bro this video is absolutly awesome, the honest and true talk of a wise man, i like this, keep going man, +1 for me
Favorite video here
I needed to see this I was few months back trying to lose weight I was suppose to hit 175lbs before summer, but I reached halfway mark so fast that I started to take it easy and actually gained little bit weight and made it impossible to reach, because of the wasted time and gained weight.
Thanks a lot, really appreciate your videos. Love from Bangladesh!
Hit 50K by the end of the year
I might do at this rate haha
I honestly feel that the best way to improve is to be patience’s with your routine and make it as a goal to achieve it. I see a lot of people what they don’t have is patience’s. Once you master being patience, than you will enjoy the long run for reaching out your goals.
Found your channel this morning and I'm about to binge watch all your videos. Goddamn you're motivational and practical.
Haha cheers man!
Nice work, high respect towards the creator
New sub here. Thank you for making me realize new things. I already read and watched Blue Lock till its latest chapter and episode. But your videos made me rethink about the things I've heard/read in BL. Nice video, mate. THANK YOU!
Love your video keep making such content
Will do bro!
subbed, best of luck with that goal bro
I wish i could subscribe you 30 thousand times sir. I just needed this right now. Such a masterpiece.🙌
Let's goo!! More self-improvement in Anime🔥🔥 Figuring out your flow zone is a game in itself, it took me so long to figure out the sweet spot with the gym for me
Pretty awesome content man!!
Appreciate it!
I love these🤩
Wait what? only 13 vidoes?... We need more!!! 😭
More on the way 👀
I spend my hole morning searching the fkng chapter ego explains the concept off flow state.
Thank you so much senpai.
Ps: I told you I'll become somebody like you in Brasil, I got 6k subs 🎉.
And I believe you was my first subscriber (let me believe haha) and support me whith that "go for it" 6 months ago. I love you.
Yo! This is such an amazing video man, your videos have helped my mentality a hell of a lot, I've mainly been watching the Blue Lock videos as I was catching up on the manga! (finally managed to do it after a long flight!)
I can't wait to see you hit that goal of 30k subs, keep up the good work
Won't be much longer at this rate haha
AMAZING VIDEO MY MAN WOW
I really enjoyed this video. Haven't seen much of your work ( this is like the 3rd video fromyour channel I see ) but it made me subscribe ! Keep up the good work
Ay cheers bro! I've got 6 Blue Lock videos for you to check out haha
Your channel is gold, take your time and keep bringing those bangers. Many youtubers with rarer uploads but bringing only bangers are big af, dont let it distract you
Another good vid
Do a video about a confidence detox (very dangerous and and necessary aspect for flow state )
If you detox your confidence too much you will become less motivated but if did a right amount it will get you in to flow state too quickly and it will make a real confidence instead of a fake one
Hope you get to 10k soon!
For most people it really would sound rediculous, 30k?! But I think if you keep going like this it is not only realistic, but you earned it man:)
I think it's doable too!
beautiful video, thank u a lot and keep up !
The fact you thought 50k was to high before, is crazy since your 100 subs away from 50k now!
fantastic video
This is very helpful! Thank you!!!
Great video bro
1 min in
Thankyou for this video.😃❤️
Welcome!
Making my mark here pre-30k!
I apply this technique every single day, and it has really helped me keep going. Every day when i come home from school, I almost never want too keep on grinding, but once I get into it, I just keep going. This is all thanks to the goal i set myself. D1 in league of legends, here I come.
Also, when will you do a video on how winnie the pooh's rumbly in tumbly is a metaphor for how we as humans are never satisfied, no matter what we do?
Aint no way you said D1 league
Noooooooooo 😭😭😭😭😭
@@LessonsFromAnime Can you do a video on the subject of perfectionism? I think Mayuri's speech on perfection from Bleach would be really good to analyze. It is a lesson I still remember today, to not seek perfection but improvement.
Great video 📹 👍
Just letting my congrats for hitting 30K subs my guy!
Brilliant. Thanks man. 🤯
Nice Vid
really great video as always. i dont understand why they left this out of the anime
Same with the wildcard stuff
Bro you're amazing keep going
fire vid. Good shit "Lessons from Anime"
It's a topic that gets expanded upon though, so I assume they left it out for time, they'll introduce it at the start of S2. Love these vids btw
you can also reach flow if the challenge is too great or impossible. it just depends if you have anxiety or not. flow is just absolute focus on the “hows” of your goal, not thinking of the “what ifs.”
Very different style to what I usually do, was a real pain to edit tbh lmao but hope you enjoyed!

Bro u channel is growing so fast. 😮🎉
How much time did editing took?? I am asking for myself cuz i am thinking to open a channel in my regional language.
If possible Could u recommend me some videos

@@mrwhite4874 it takes aaaaaages haha, and tbh I just kinda figured it out myself, but as you'll notice I don't do anything fancy with my editing
Subbing not only to help you hit your goal but because i love the videos. Thank you.
Addicting
It's not even December and you have 71k subs, congrats man! Really good, compact video and I hope to see more from you 😄
It's 41.4 k
this man is cooking
So getting it flow state is about getting into a state of fun and excitement to the point where it doesn't get overwhelming and by putting a target to low or unachievable leds to boredom 🤔 so it be fair to say to build on interest and get rid of limiting resistance and continuing focus and alignment on why
Me watching this while I should be at the gym rn
First video I'm seeing, instant sub,. would love to see you cover Solo leveling in the future if you end up seeing this comment
good luck on your goal bro! love your channel - Ill take one of those sub spots haha
bro let me the messenger of victory for you:
2 things:
improve your voice clarity ( how good one can understand you )
after applying the first step higher your goal, you will absolutely shatter 30k at the end of this year if you keep improving go for 50k least, it is supposed to be scary, thats what shows you that your goals are good
upload like 30+ high quality vids till the end of the year and ez.
once you reach that goal and realize you shattered it you wish you would have gone for more
Yeah I definitely need to look into that first point, not too sure what I can do outside of buying a new mic, I think I need to try to change the way I speak first though
@@LessonsFromAnime ez bro, i think your mic is alright, try watching your videos and compare with other youtubers, what i am trying right now is talking exessively clear like the cringe clickbait youtubers nowadays, by overcompensating i get used to more clarity in my words
@@ExperimentalKana yeah I agree the issue likely isn't the mic, will give it a go, thanks
@@LessonsFromAnime shout me out if it helps bro 😉
If you hit 10K by end of the weekend you HAVE to upload a UA-cam short of you dabbing
No 💀
Everyone atleast once in their lifetime has entered flow, atleast.
flow has different states on different things the flow you experienced could be totally different from others while the baseline to reach it remains the same how to reach it could change drastically and maintaining it
People think they'll have to set an intention by speaking you don't have to do that you have to know it not say it and when you know it you see it you say it you feel it and more
bro has almost 40K sub before 2024
He completely destroyed his goal
if i could, i would subscribe twice
Watching this when you're at 36. Congrats
This is just my opinion about my understanding of a flow state.
Doing easy tasks repeatedly will make you bored.
Doing hard tasks abruptly will make you anxious.
So set reachable goals, learn the basics, and practice them. If you fail, find the mistake, fix it, and improve it.
Get that 50k!
Will do bro!
1.1k more subs within the next 3 months, definitely got mine
If youre struggling to start something you could also be suffering from depression or adhd or something along those lines. Just food for thought..
