In 2018, after Wade Wilson uses Cable's time-travel device to prevent the death of his girlfriend Vanessa, he travels from his universe, Earth-10005, to Earth-616 on the "Sacred Timeline", hoping to join the Avengers and give his life added meaning. He is rejected by Happy Hogan and returns to his universe. Six years later, Wade has broken up with Vanessa, retired from being the masked mercenary Deadpool, and works as a used-car salesman with his friend and former X-Force member, Peter Wisdom.
During Wade's birthday party, the Time Variance Authority captures him and brings him to Paradox, who explains that they are an organization outside of time that monitors the Sacred Timeline and wider multiverse, and offers him an important role on Earth-616. Wade initially accepts, however Paradox then reveals that Wade's timeline is deteriorating as a result of the death of its stabilizing "anchor being", Logan, while protecting his daughter Laura. Paradox plans to use a "Time Ripper" device to accelerate this process, so Wade steals his TemPad and uses it to travel to Logan's grave, hoping to resurrect him and save their timeline. When this fails, Wade travels the multiverse searching for a replacement alternate universe "variant" of Logan.

One thing I have to call out is the extremely clever pacing of the cameos/reveals. One reason we don't even think of Johnny Storm is because we've already seen quick Hulk and Thor apperences and he's the first non-Xmen to come into play. And even then you can be forgiven for not thinking of anyone else, it's easy to dismiss that as a joke revolving around Chris Evans rather than the Fox series. But they wait long enough then drop ELECTRA on us, give us a good few moments to go 'wait, what?' before it clicks, follow it up with the most obvious but unexpected cameo of them all (Snipes as Blade, that was something I never saw coming), and then switch it up with a very meta reference that's never properly appeared in Tatum's Gambit. And finally give us all some time and fun with all of them before coming back with Laura/X-23. It's not obvious until you think about it, and the movie's too fun and frantic for it to hit you the first time, but the timing and ordering on all of that is damn well done.

I love how they re-purposed the "pruning" mechanism from _Loki_ as a metaphor for characters and series ending or getting cancelled without a proper resolution - or even without getting their first chance, in the case of Tatum's Gambit. These are characters that were discarded or forgotten about, or replaced with newer versions. And they deserve to be remembered, even if some (Let's face it: most) of their movies weren't all that good. Or any good at all. Or even halfway decent.
Even the bad movies deserve to be remembered and honoured, because without _them_ we would never have gotten any of the _good_ ones. They laid the foundations for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while Marvel was still selling off their IPs left and right, in hopes that _someone_ might make something worthwhile out of them. (Well… mostly in hopes that they would get paid lots of money.)
This movie is _so meta_ about how Logan's death was basically the death of Fox's Mutants-verse. It was so tragic and epic and poignant, that they couldn't just reverse it (even if Jackman had been willing to go on), because then the fans would have hunted them down and hurt them - but they also couldn't go _forwards_ from there, because nobody would have turned up to watch, if they knew in advance that _he_ wouldn't show up. Sure, that's tremendously unfair to all the other actors and creatives making the movies, but it's still _true!_
That's the brilliant metaphor of the "anchor being": its all those times that a TV or movie series fizzled out and died, because that _one_ key actor left, or they killed off that _one_ character everybody came to watch.
They pulled a great bait-and-switch with this movie, staring out with "Fuck you, Fox; we get to go play in _Disney's_ ball pit now!" but then it turns into a love letter and fond farewell to all those old Fox movies.
Many younger audiences know Chris Evans only as Captain America who does not swear but before Marvel Chris Evans played Johnny Storm aka Human Torch who swears like a sailor. It is also a joke in Deadpool and Wolverine that Chris Evans as Cap was proper, not swearing "virgin" while Chris Evans as Johnny swears his ass off and was lady man.

one really good joke you wont catch right away is Wolverine says Deadpool got Johnny killed but he never says Deadpool was lying, he only says Deadpool lied to him not to Cassandra
this then comes full circle when the movie ends and you get the after credit scene of Johnny saying all that stuff for real

Channing Tatum wax supposed to be gambit in his own movie he even announced it on stage a Comic Con back in 2014 a script was being made and then 2019 Disney purchased Fox & cancled a lot of movies including Gambit. It was also why Ryan Reynolds movie FreeGuy took so long to come out. In 2009 X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Gambit was played by actor Taylor Kitsch from Snakes on a Plane, John Carter, Battleship, Lone Survivor, and American Assassin.

In the beginning of Deadpool 2 he exploded himself in pieces, one of the body part was his head, Deadpool can survive if you cut his head with no problem, wolverine too, but wolverine doesn't grow part, you have to reattach his body parts manually, Deadpool grow new parts

The best part of the ‘I’m going to Disneyland’ 4th wall break was that he became a meet and greet character at Disneyland when the movie came out so he wasn’t lying 😂
So the thing about Gambit, they had planned a Gambit movie with Channing Tatum cast as Gambit but it never happened despite all the fans wanting it and Channing wanting to play the role. So all the jokes he made about ‘Maybe I was born here.’ Or ‘Hero I wanted to be.’ Etc was a joke at the fact that the movie just never happened.
And finally, the best part of Chris Evans cussing like that, he had it part of his contract to get to do all that cussing since he never got to cuss as Captain America 😂

Deadpool’s healing factor is stronger than Wolverines he could have survived losing his head as he has before he just feels pain still so it would still hurt and he would have to spend time to regenerate it again

Yes, Batman and Superman paved the way for Superhero movies in general, but the dumpster fire that was "Batman and Robin" killed the superhero movie genre. No studios wanted to touch a Superhero again after that. Then Blade came out and revitalized the genre. Yes, not many people knew he was a Marvel character, but with the success of Blade, the studio executives saw the potential with the characters they had just bought from Marvel studios and superhero movies were taken seriously again
The lines on his face weren't for CGI. It was make up for the scenes they shot. They were lines for the adamantium procedure.

@@YaBoyRockLee I guess you can say that.. Captain America's shield is made out of Vibranium-metal alloy. The metal alloy part is from an experimental steel and the mixture was accidently made. The person that made it was never able to duplicate the process. However, in the many attempts to replicate Cap's shield, they were never successful but they came pretty close.. and that was how Adamantium was made... Adamantium starts off in a hot liquid state..but once Adamantium hardens, it is virtually indestructible, even if it is superheated to extreme temperatures..the only way to alter adamantium after it cools down is to manipulate it on a molecular level. It's only been broken through extreme circumstances like Magic or when Thanos bitch slapped it with the Infinity Gauntlet
i believe it also has some sort of adamantium solution on the rim or coating it too as well. I may be wrong or that may be just in a offshoot continuity.

I came up with a great plan. And mahershala can still take over afterwards. This plan was done before but it would’ve made better sense in this plan. Blade is old and not really hunting anymore. He’s at a point where he’s gonna embrace his vampiric side and thinking about resting. But at the same time, he had a son with Karen(from the first movie) and knew but kept it under wraps. He’s been watching and training him to hunt, the whole time. A big problem in the vampire world happens and now Eric Sr (blade) has to hunt for one last time before he can rest. With Jr by his side for their last time hunting together. This is the best way to keep a blade in the mcu and still give Wesley his just due.

Not sure if anyone’s mentioned this but rewatching this, the whole anchor being thing feels like a nod to how Logan's death led to Fox's struggle to keep the X-Men universe relevant and now with him back it’s like he’s saving the X-Men IP, just as he saves the multiverse in the movie. Just thought that was interesting

So in the comics, Cassandra Nova is sort of Charles twin sister, she's actually a being from another dimension. They attempt to enter pregnant wombs to steal the body being formed so they can have physical bodies. Because of Charles psychic abilities, the one that tried to steal him was able to mimic his powers and create her own body, but she's way more powerful than Charles. She can manipulate matter and reality on top of being able to read and alter minds.
You asked during the flashback end credits about the lives on High’s face. No CGi. In Wolverine Origin when Logan was in the tub of water, lines were drawn on his face to show where the needles went into when they injected Logan with adamantine.
such a very entertaining movie time this was and full of laughs, gasps and more 😄 so I like to share that it seems interesting that Ryan Reynolds have some connections in the formation of “Deadpool Core” as he got his wife and kids to pitch in as Lady Deadpool, Kidpool and Babypool. Also got Matthew McConaughey to voice Deadpool The Kid aka Cowboy Deadpool.
Also there is an alternate version ending with Gambit surviving after the fight with all of Cassandra’s crew. With someone getting to take Gambit through a Dr Strange’s Portal

"White Boy Summer" is how you make a superhero movie. guys being guys, all "toxic masculinity" in all its glory. I thought this movie wont age well but re-watching it the jokes still lands. which means its a good popcorn movie.
Id love it if they put out a series of shorts, with B15 and Peter trying to go on dates, but some Deadpool/TVA mishap always happens. But they always help save the day by working great as a team, so in the end the dates aren't busts

Deadpool healing factor is better but Wolverine healing is more perfect. Since Deadpool awakened his powers while he had cancer , he regenerates both is normal and cancerous blood cells . He’s dying n healing at the same time kinda like a zombie which is why he can survive being beheaded .
While wolverine healing factor regenerates him to his perfect 100% healthy state even tho the metal in his blood is poisoning him . He just like sabertooth would but that’s hard to do with an Adamantium neck spine.
Sobering can live long cuz of healing but Deadpool is almost immortal

The shield is made of vibranium. The katana probably has a tang through the handle, but the handle itself is not adamantium, that was just exaggerated physics. Cassandra is also telekinetic, and apparently so good at it, she can use it to heal herself; it's not passive like regeneration, it takes conscious effort. That's Pyro; being able to suck away the Human Torch's fire was the clue, even if you don't recognise him now he's all grown up. He died as he lived: a whiny bitch. Hugh trained for two years to get those muscles back. The guy with the red hair was Shatterstar, briefly of X-Force, until he parachuted into a helicopter. I guess Deadpool saved him too with Cable's time thingamy. Not sure why.

Adamantium comes from outer space. Vibranium comes from Wakanda. (It might be different in the comics, but these aren't the comics.)
Now, we all know Charles Xavier has a twin. But not just Cassandra, believe it or not, Professor X also has a son, David Haller a.k.a Legion. If you all check out Legion tv series from FX, you will see more than just Marvel things.
I only knew a small handful of those variant Deadpools. The gray one with a monk hood was ZenPool. The floating zombie head one that people refer to as HeadPool is from Marvel Zombies. The power ranger looking one is Deadpool 2099 which is a Deadpool from a distant future, the same distant future that Spider-Man 2099 is from. You guys already knew LadyPool, DogPool, and kidpool. Those three and I think Headpool make up the main members of the Deadpool Corps in the comics. The Rocketeer looking Deadpool was Golden Age Deadpool. The samurai looking Deadpool is Ronin Deadpool. If the others are from a comic, then they are ones I haven't read or remember.
