Except for the fact that white people didn't even exist in the middle east 2000 years ago. So IF they was a person there named Jesus Christ, he would have been Arabic looking.
Another one bites the dust is a global hit and it just took 3 notes. This bass writing it's fucking insane. I just got my first bass and I think playing this song is my goal so I must practice a lot hahaha
Honestly, this music is not an unrealistic objective. It's very technical and fast but there is not so many subtilities. Plus the fact that practice this song slower could be a great exercise to improving your play since It similar to scale practice.
Theres only one way to describe how amazing this was....."AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW YEAH"
@Chadthedrummer1 I know, I coulden't learn this song, Proper tuning Etc. So, I did a vocal cover of Faith Made Of Shrapnel by Kataklysm, But.. I'm in my schools band, Two weeks after, I was asked to play a solo for the last band concert of the year. So, I played Phobophile as the solo :D
@TheWiseTruth90 thanks man, it did. it maybe the warwick, I have ghs strings. i set my amp to a lower level on the bass and set the treble to max and it was a big improvement.
@ThanatopicalRape lol the strings i have on this bass are DR Black beauties, they are about 2 years old and im kind of amazed they still sound good at all. i didnt think that with a standard gauge string set it would sound good being tuned to B standard but i was wrong.
@ThanatopicalRape DR Black Beauties. Awesome strings, handwound and handcoated. They are pretty pricey compared to other strings but they last a while.
@Cory1349 It's all about what you think you feels better. 5 Strings are amazing for Death Metal, but you can always tune a 4 string down to B Standard (so you may not need a 5 string.)
Wow dude, ive been watching your vIds for a while now, the first one i saw was Necrophagist's only ash reamins, and since then, youve really gained alot of respect in my mind, your one of the few bassists i really enjoy seeing work, youve covered alot of the songs i want to cover, and i think you deserve a good band behind you man, but anywho, you should do a cover of Dying Fetus's Homicidal Retribution. - Cloud
@Cory1349 there is a little bit more room in between the strings which is better for plucking and 4 strings are more traditional and universal and you usually dont use the bottom string very often in metal so it is kinda stupid to pay more for a 5 string
@NSGU HELL YEAH man hahaha - Portal kicks ass....something of an acquired taste though, as they are rather noisy, but fucking awesome nonetheless... I would recommend: Transcending A Mere Multiverse - From "Seepia" Atmosblisters - From "Seepia" Glumurphonel - From "Seepia" Abysmill - From "Outre" Omnipotent Crawling Chaos - From "Outre" ...And pretty much everything off of their new album "Swarth"
@Cory1349 like i said, it depends if you pick or pluck more, and you might not want to pay more for an extra string that you might only use in a handful of songs and worst case scenario is that in a five string song you could just go far down the neck on the g string but i guess if you are up to paying a bit more you can get the 5 string
Question......This bass or a spector? I'm left handed and am very limited to what I have to choose from, I personally like the tone one this better than in the covers you do for C.Corpse. Since you own both models, what would you go with first? I don't have the option to just go play bad ass lefty models at my local guitar center because they don't have shit.
What was you wrong about? Sounds to me like you nailed the piss out of it! Great choice on song too. Also, what kind of strings are those? They have great tone and I definately dig the Black String color. I recently just put D'Addario Light Gauge Strings on my Schecter - They started off sounding great and I loved how easy they were to play, but after only 2 months or so, they've already started to wear out and lose their tone. (This being why I asked) LOL Still...KEEP IT UP!!!!
Rockbass by Warwick is the bass he playing in this vid. Rockbass are cheeper versions of a Warwick bass guitar he's using the thumb version it looks, if you don't believe me you can easily see the brand name from 0:00 to 4:05. =\
@ThanatopicalRape One dude said they literally sound like Hell........dude wasn't fuckin' kidding. It's like a Brobdingnagian wall of the most densely-packed blackened dm I've heard in my life.
@The6Black6Metal6 i think a lot of warwicks have that sound. most of them are very complex with their capabilities. it could also be the strings and the fact that treble is set to high. i never owned a warwick so i can't say from my experience. hope this helps, man.
first thing to listen to after buying new headphones
Awesome spider fingers
10 years later I come back to the video that inspired me to pick up a bass. Rock on bro. I still randomly play that opening bass line all the time.
Same... I don't think I have gone a week without humming it at some point. Never leaves you.
@@Gymnopedie55 it’s really soothing to play
His fingers are made of brutal
Snowing pfp, nice man
@@vladmihalca4504 was just gonna say the same thing

@TheWiseTruth90 thanks man, it did. it maybe the warwick, I have ghs strings. i set my amp to a lower level on the bass and set the treble to max and it was a big improvement.
FAV CRYPTOPSY SONG! AWESOME COVER!!!

Nice cover bro. Good to see some new stuff. Keep up the good work.
Awesome job! keep it going, love your covers...
Cover the whole album. This album is so fucking sick no matter how many times I listen to it.

i saw cryptopsy live a month ago in rouyn-noranda, Qc.
they kicked our asses !
@minusjason I love the clanky tone actually, just my opinion. It's really cool
That tuning on regular strings sounds sick! Think i'll try it lol
Great dude! Your video will help me to play this, thanks for shared your knowledge. Kisses from Brazil!

@Juozaps It's a pickalo (I mispelled it maybe) bass The fretboard in width is really skinny

nice man .. keep it up .. ur gentle on it .which i like .. clean an ddirty at the same time
@ThanatopicalRape thank you, but i do not play in Portal. i am just a really big fan.
@Cory1349 there is a little bit more room in between the strings which is better for plucking and 4 strings are more traditional and universal and you usually dont use the bottom string very often in metal so it is kinda stupid to pay more for a 5 string
Awesome job
@wtmbass Yes some Nile is on the way along with a lot of other things.
@NSGU HELL YEAH man hahaha - Portal kicks ass....something of an acquired taste though, as they are rather noisy, but fucking awesome nonetheless...
I would recommend:
Transcending A Mere Multiverse - From "Seepia"
Atmosblisters - From "Seepia"
Glumurphonel - From "Seepia"
Abysmill - From "Outre"
Omnipotent Crawling Chaos - From "Outre"
...And pretty much everything off of their new album "Swarth"
He should have a little animation of a bunch of skeletons moshing.
I find it funny to see him playing a bass that small ! Great cover btw
what is your bass model?,it looks simple and extreme at the same(P.S. this was the best bass cover i've seen for this song)
@morganchavis just a standard 4 string set. im surprised it can handle it so well.
Warwick rockbass. I played one of those at the store the other day, it kicks ass.
Ha ha, my bad man. Keep them covers coming man.
This got me into Cryptopsy
Very good!
@WhySoBass Thank you for the sarcasm and your point.
Ace job, man.
you rock man! \m/ \m/

That is a brutal question. I would miss the one i didnt pick , i love both companies so much.
thanks for this.
it's on he None So Vile album
@ArmoniaLuminum English is not my first language.....so there can always be some misconceptions....i'm glad we somewat understood each other.
@TheZombieXecutioner I don't use them but I hear they are good. I use lo riders or the DDT strings
BADASS!!!!
brutal dude good job 5*****
holy fucking shit this is so amazing!!!!
i think you did it great !
Brutal.
OK thanks and I'll check'em out.

badass tone, and great strings dude, shit... this reminds me i need to fix up my bass right. lol.
old school metal awww yeah
you should do more crytopsy covers
man I wish i lived in your city man I"d so like to play in a band with a bassist like you
going from the 10 string to this 4 tringer must feel like a dream to play eh?
Rockbass by Warwick is the bass he playing in this vid. Rockbass are cheeper versions of a Warwick bass guitar he's using the thumb version it looks, if you don't believe me you can easily see the brand name from 0:00 to 4:05. =\
I wanna be like you man !
@blaisems
can you please tell us more about warwicks and importantly for what playing style they are best suited?
Good stuff
I laughed at first when I saw the bass in this video because compared to your fretless and the other 6 or 7 string one it looks so tiny
I liked your comment, mainly because you've got a picture of the best album of all time as your profile. Cheers! (;
ur pretty much at amazing status. keep it up
I checked out a few of your videos do you play in a band ? id be intrested in hearing your own original work
thanx man
just my own opinion here but this guy is the god of death metal bass
do "slit you guts"!!!!!!!! badass cover man you down with that shit
thicker gauge of strings...but beware..if you go too thick you wont be able to tune to standard again..you'll bow the neck due to too much tension
When phobopile playing bass
Oh yeah, i didn't even reminded of that, this people got managers and stuff. True, it would be cool if he had one.
@ThanatopicalRape
One dude said they literally sound like Hell........dude wasn't fuckin' kidding. It's like a Brobdingnagian wall of the most densely-packed blackened dm I've heard in my life.
That is a very punchy bass sound -- very solid tone for playing metal. Is that a Spector or a Warwick, and what amp are you playing through?
great technique dude...very good job...
i look a brootal bassist for record Lp
cheers man perfect cover Eric Langlois would be proud :)
@JacHeavyMetalBassist
it´s B E A D
IS VERY GOOD FOR THOSE WHO DONT HAVE
FIVE STRINGS BASS
@ggalexhutchings pretty sure hes involved in Decrescent and Festerfuck
@Theend3045 oh dude by the way he's in a band thats signed to sumerian
@The6Black6Metal6 i think a lot of warwicks have that sound. most of them are very complex with their capabilities. it could also be the strings and the fact that treble is set to high. i never owned a warwick so i can't say from my experience.
hope this helps, man.
@Goatchrist666 Tune your bass down, and turn up the treble button on your amp ^^
