I want to see someone to start off almost naked singing a pop song, then start dressing and switch to playing something classical.
Sam Brilliant!

No joke, I remember I saw one wgt(i forget which one) literally go on stage naked and dance the whole way.

As a classical vocalist:
-horrible vowels
-not enough articulation
-why do u feel the need to strip?
-too nasaly
I'm not a classical singer or that good at singing but I think I'm good at theory at least, and I noticed he had breathing issues on the high notes. Even the mid and low notes sound more contemporary than operatic because of his mouth shape. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
@@adecentdelinquent8986 ur right. Phonetics are very significant in producing a good sound. If you don't have the right vowel shape, you don't produce the right phoneme AND its harder for u to sing if you do not lift the palette. 👍🏻
exagerating vowels during singing is something very important that most singers of today don't appreciate
Not to mention he was singing with a high larynx, there was no twang at all and overall he was just a mediocre singer singing with vibrato making a mockery of a singing style that is already misrepresented and I think underappreciated
He was also flat on some notes…

I did some digging on the second act and found out that the show screwed him over. He's actually a very accomplished pianist and very good at playing, but the second part with the pop music is dubbed in. He's not actually playing that badly. Here's the kicker: he refused to sign their ridiculous contract that gives them full rights to his work, so they needed a reason to kick him off without people getting suspicious. I know its cliche at this point but please like this so twoset might see this! It'd be an InTerEsting thing for them to see 😅
dirty bastards... These show producers should be punished
Links? I'm actually curious
Ohhhhh that's horrible... poor guy
Wheres the sauce, I can't trust without the source
Tumaini Tiger doesn't change the fact that he stripped sacrilegiously. If he refused to sign the contract, why does he still strip? I doubt he willingly stripped as part of his performance
my sister actually had the second guy as her classical music lecturer, and she said that he was really harsh to everybody in her class. he even made one girl cry and was generally just incredibly discouraging. she also said he had a bit of an ego problem, and that when he was boasting to them about the fact that he was gonna be on BGT and told them his act, she just knew not to take anything he said to heart or very seriously at all. we then watched this and, as someone who plays piano, just fat yikes all around :/
Must’ve been nice seeing him get roasted then 😆
There’s another guy who said he’s a really accomplished pianist with a couple thousand likes.

Piano gang here, this is fake, you don’t hold down the pedal without it jamming up at one point, it’ll have so much that you can’t hear what’s actually being played.
Yess I was thinking the same thinggg
Also that piece isn’t supposed to be pedalled except the two chords at the top anyway and he isn’t playing any of the actual notes... I dunno if they just didn’t sync the video with the actual audio and he actually was playing it but ... I don’t think so ....
That's what I thought

Everyone is always asking for the opinions of professional musicians in these videos. I for one would like the opinion of talented strippers.

ankhi3 Pretty sure the strippers would have a bad opinion of it, too. Because them dancing and stripping is so awkward, and definitely not sexy lol
That is the best comment I've seen on here

"ti ODIO bene assai"
13:19 As a person who is currently learning the 3rd Movement of Moonlight Sonata, the whole beginning is actually just fast arpeggios. As you guys have said, there definitely no way he can mess up on the slower arpeggios

@@HelloKitty-sd9vs some raw talent is on there but not rave material. To be succinct, not amaaaAaaaAAzInG.
Yeah, can someone play Anna Nebtreko singing Verdi.
Um hi, I'm a mariachi singer. Not technically opera, but I use some techniques that opera singers use, and I do have to control my voice (like all GOOD singers) Not sure my opinion counts, but I did physically cringe at 6:14 and 6:42. Also, stripping is clearly a distraction from the fact that he did NOT practice 40 hours. Thank you.
Edit: I just watched a little further and saw the piano part. And uh, all I have to say is wow, fabulous. On a totally unrelated note, I'd like to go die silently at the fact that people who devote their lives to their music are yawned at, and made to seem boring. However, take off your shirt, and you're golden. Wonderful.
If only they knew Simon Cowell is the producer.
that explains everything
Actually, the audience aren’t hired actors.
Someone that once bought a ticket to the show once told me that all the reactions are fake. Before the actual performance starts, there would a director that tells people to laugh, cringe, cheer, boo, and etc. The editors just fill in these reactions so they bring the mood up.
I bet the second guy actually was a singer and auditioned with singing but the director just told him, “strip while singing so more pervs can watch our show and allow our show to have more diversity instead of having all 10 years old girls singing pop” (probably some money to buy his dignity too)
I guess it kinda worked?
Oh wow! That’s seriously iNtErEsTiNg, I never thought of that.
I got free tickets to see an audition phase about 12 years ago and wasn't told to do anything!
Soooo the director told an audience members to say "this is opera!"
So basically they've made the audience pay to be actors for them.

9:10 I'm an audio engineer, the stereo image is completely different. I'm on my macbook's speakers but the first one sounds like a backing track recorded with a stereo mic technique and has reverb and other effects, the second one sounds in mono and has a different timbre to my ears. You can simulate stereo but you can't create it, especially if you can hear the bass part of the piano in one side and the high part in another. Can't tell for sure but it really sounds like the mic is different. Either that or they heavily edited to make the first one sound way better than the second one on purpose
11:21 "actually, I can't actually play, but what I can do is take my pants off really quickly"
🤣 You guys are so hilarious, made my day this commend!
Fun fact - I went to an X factor audition recording and they actually make the audience do different applause and screaming at different points so they can fill them in. You’re also not allowed to speak during recording so anyone who is speaking is clearly planted. They also do some auditions without the audience or ask them to come back again to do things differently Because it’s better for tv. And the judges facial expressions won’t always respond to the person they’re showing.
Wow... very InTrEsTiNg
Yeah, we went to New Zealands got Talent and that was EXACTLY the same, such a con, don't watch any of those type of shows any more.

Piano gang here. one thing I noticed about the piano guy right away is that he's playing with the lid shut. A piano with a closed lid would never sound so loud and resonant, and I don't know any concert pianist who would leave it shut to perform. Also, his left hand around 7:22 doesn't seem to match what he's playing--it's not quite moving with the rhythm.
6:45 lmao I thought you guys added the breaking glass sound ahahah
Thank you
Ok so I actually know Emmanuel Vass, he's my piano teacher's friend and I have been to one of his concerts. I can reassure you that his act was HEAVILY edited to make it look a certain way. guys, I really dont wanna be nerdy about it, BUT: the first piece he sang was not opera at all, it was a song by Lucio Dalla from 1986. Then he went on to sing a soprano aria ( Je veux vivre) but started completely improvising notes by the end. *sigh*
Yes, I thought "but..does Caruso count as Opera?" :) But really, in the context of BGT... I suppose it makes no difference
pl ease continue to be nerdy about it!! love this kind of comment!
Ikr.. just cuz he’s good vocally doesn’t mean everything become opera.
He's improvising the ending part, and he's still somehow managing to be off-key. 😂😂
Thanks!!!!
Plus the “opera” guy is wearing a microphone, real operatically trained singers don’t sing with mics they just project
While this is true, if you're using a back track instead of an actual orchestra or are in an acoustic space not meant for operatic voices you'll probably have to wear a mic even if you're a trained opera singer, because the voice can't project well under those circumstances.
MB that is not quite right, most mics can't handle the projection of a trained opera voice. They would not use a headset kind of mic, they would use the same mic the flute player or the piano would use or a hand held mic that can be pulled away on the louder parts so as to not cause clipping. The fact that the mic is in his face and his tone and vibrato is crap shows he is not projecting well at all.
@@SabiLewSounds oh yeah, this guy specifically is most definetely not an opera singer. I was talking in more general terms.
Most classical opera singers are trained to be heard even in large halls without mics. But their voice can reach 500hz at most and not all part of the hall can be heard.
While it's obvious he is not a properly trained opera singer, he would need a mic because there was no other way to catch the sound for the recording. But definetly not that mic.
Have they ever considered that encouraging their contestants to strip is kind of creepy?
I play piano so this is pure sacrilige. 11:07. P.S. I started watching this channel about a week ago but its very good, and entertaining while encourages me to practice. I have been practicing a song called "Golden Dreams" that my piano teacher gave me.

The "opera" singer was a musical theater voice, very light, very little resonance. That's how he's able to switch to his falsetto so easily, because the real voice is undeveloped. And he's singing classical crossover, not opera, although his falsetto performance was a soprano aria from Romeo and Juliette by Gounod. He obviously uses that voice more, as it was stronger than his normal male voice, but did you hear his attempted high C at the end? Not good.... btw, I laughed at everything you said, especially the comment about the good singers not going on this show...that is SO true!
Thanks for breaking it down cuz I know nothing of opera singing!
Or classical cross over😂
It was quite pitchy in general (even the belted high notes at the end) but yeah, the chest voice like, really bad. Not only pitchy but terrible tone and resonance, vibrato sounded forced and yeah, definitely not a real opera singer 😂
Yeah i mean it wasn't really very good singing in general from a professional perspective. He starting singing in Italian with quite a heavy English accent, very poor. With shows like this it's ultimately impossible to tell how able these singers would be in a real opera because it's all amplified with microphones etc. The key difference between operatic singing and basically any other style of singing is that opera singers don't use microphones. This is also not something one can just do as learning to sing over an orchestra requires a lot of training and practice. It's also why opera singers sound the way that they do because the only way you can be heard over an orchestras is by singing in a very specific way. To sum up it's not really worth comparing this guy to an opera singer because he clearly isn't one. Thanks Elise, good comment.
