- Conspiracy theorists like to think they have all the answers and they're usually wrong. But sometimes there are questions they have that worth answering. This is a major one. Why can't you see stars in space? Many astronauts tell stories about how space looked black. Has NASA been lying?!

I may not be a second grader (61 years old) but the answer to the question "Why cant you see stars when in space" is nearly as simple. And I refuse to believe ANY astronaut would wonder why. 🙄
It's because, if the sun is not blocked by either the Earth or moon, the sunshine, including reflections of the sun, say off the earth, moon, space shuttle, or ANYTHING FAR outshines the stars. If you're on the dark side of the Earth 🌎 or moon or even the dark side of the shuttle, the view is completely different. Now you can see MUCH more of the universe than even at night on earth. Pimple simple 😂😅...

There is a bit more to it too... the eyes need time to adjust. So just ducking behind something doesn't mean you'll instantly see the universe, and yada yada yada ... Really not phenomenal at all. Bah

Basically, space light pollution. Just like day on earth, the sun is far brighter than the stars and makes them incredibly hard to see. The darker it is, the more you can see.

Just like how we can't see stars in day but we can on night ? Yeh exactly thats the sun who won't allow us to see the stars with its brightness set to max but i am pretty sure we can see stars if we cancel sun's sunlight by an opaque object :)

Because it was basicly day on the moon, just like you cant see stars during the day you cant see them when its day on the moon or in space
Not exactly they were on the bright side of the planet on that one picture and the bright side of the moon the moon doesnt have a day/night cycle

whenever there’s nothing blocking the sun, the sun will outshine everything else in the sky
if there is something blocking the sun, basically nighttime in space, other far out objects will be far more visible

Incorrect.
It's because of the sunlight reflecting off the moon. That's why telescopic satellites view stars when the moon is on the opposite side to the Earth.
Of course I'm watching this on UA-cam shorts, and where you pointed to click there's nothing there to click ☹️

If the Enterprise was in deep space or away from large satellites like our moon, stars would be visible.
It's reflective light that obscures the stars.
If the enterprise was orbit the moon on the far side, you'd see stars out of the windows facing away from the moon but none If facing the moon.

The astronauts' eyes were adapted to the sunlit landscape around them so that they could not see the relatively faint stars.
The reason you can see stars from earth and not in space is due to our atmosphere

The sunlight bounces of the moon and that reflected light obscures the light of distance stars. Move beyond the moon and space would be awash with stars.

It's not a hard concept to understand I live in Las Vegas while we can still see stars if you drive away from the city the stars become much brighter and much more spectacular That's because the light created by the city is not bleaching the sky.

BUT, on one trampoline only, when you take the 3 dimensional space grid and place a trampoline mat under all matter in space how does that pan out? And if gravity pulls sideways in space why not here on earth? Why aren't objects gravitatationally bound side to side? Because of the space-time fabric? If you can warp and bend space you should be able to fold the fabric, like fabric. Folding space-time should make space-travel achievable.

The sun is the brightest object in our solar system and the largest object in our region of space. If you put it next to our Earth, apart from roasting the planet, it would be far, far, far brighter than our World and our world would obviously for a very brief moment be far, far brighter than it is right now.

If you are referring to the filming of Armstrong 's first steps on the lunar surface then the TV camera was mounted on the Descent Stage of the Lunar Module and pointed it at the steps. This Westinghouse camera was stored for flight in the lunar module’s Modular Equipment Stowage Assembly (MESA), a compartment near the ladder that Armstrong climbed down to reach the Moon’s surface. To activate the camera, he pulled on a handle that in turn released the door to the MESA. The signal was broadcast to Earth where the recording took place. Shortly afterwards Armstrong moved this camera a short distance from the LM and mounted it on a tripod facing the LM. At the 16 second mark in the video the horizon behind the astronaut is completely flat. This is an effect from a fish eye lens. You can see this constant flux from concave to flat to convex all the time in NASA footage. It's so obvious that it's a fake curve that it's actually funny 😂
