I don’t remember who interviewed him. But the interviewer said many people thought he was a black artist. And he found it to be a tremendous compliment. He’s from Wales but he has soul.
I remember my mom playing this song all the time & it was constantly on the radio. Me, being a little kid didn't know all the lyrics. I certainly didn't understand the premise of this song. I just liked the "My, my my Delilah. Why, why, why Delilah?" part & would sing along as loud as I could. It wasn't until I was much older that I actually learned all the lyrics & realized what a crazy ass song this is... Wait, what? He shanked her...WTH?!?! OMG, all those times I belted out this song & never knew what I was singing - LOL! OK, now the next Tom Jones song has to be "Green green grass of home". Even though that was released before Delilah came out, I always thought of it as what transpired after that fateful event on her front porch. When you hear it, you'll understand why I think of it as "Delilah part 2, the aftermath".
Tom Jones is a legend for a reason, he has crossed every genre with no difficulty. If you would like to see a perfect example of his talent go to a special he did that was number 1 in ratings world wide, it is titled “ I was born to be me” on you tube . This is longer than most your reactions, but I think you will enjoy it. Thanks for having a great reaction site.
In the late 60s and early 70s, the three sexiest male singers were Elvis Presley, Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdinck (who copied Elvis' sideburns). they were all good friends - a number of photos of the 3 together.
You're so Flippin funny!!! This guy was my little sister's favorite when she was 7 years old. I would have been 11 or... In a house full of music lovers... He was her fav... LOL You did the best reaction! THANKS
Delilah was released by Tom Jones in 1968 - I'm soooo old, I remember seeing him sing it on TV when it was new! Now I feel older than dust . . . and it's still a good song. Songs dealing with feelings - even such negative ones as jealously - stand the test of time simply 'cuz human nature doesn't change.
I’ve seen him in concert many times at Mohegan Casino. The audiences are usually high rollers or people his own age. We were stage left at one concert and singing & dancing. He pointed the rest of the show towards us. ❤
I remember my sister’s friend had a life-size poster of Tom Jones on her wall! She was completely smitten by him! As a little girl about seven, I was very impressed!😂
BRO, Tom Jones used to come to Vegas to see ELVIS perform. Tom is a talent in his own right, and both enjoyed each others music. Last evening was the first time I visited your Channel. You have reacted to a lot of music I enjoy as well. I will SUBSCRIBE to your Channel. I am an ELVIS fan since I was a little kid. His music grows sweeter by the day to me. And I also want to introduce you to my favorite (living) singer. David Phelps is a Christian singer that (has) the best voice around, and is critically acclaimed. But David is also a humble man, attracting his many fans. Would you please consider reacting to Whitney Houston's past hit sung by David? "I Have Nothing" is sung in the same key as Whitney. If you do react to him, and like him enough to try more, David Phelps is also part of the Gaither Vocal Band, a quartet of four of the best male voices around. In memory of Veterans and those who gave their lives for our Freedom, David and his friends perform Live, "Let Freedom Ring". There are more than one versions they perform, but the very best one has the most views, and is sung to a packed crowd in a large beautiful auditorium. THANK YOU!
I know its not correct to love this song, but a favourite memory i have is being stood in a german bar with 200 men singing this at the top of our voices
Like me some Tom.. he's not Elvis.. but good. Found out even though I'm my mother's daughter... I have 9% of her Italian blood.. I got 90% from my Daddy.. Irish, Welsh, Scottish and English... and Tom is from Whales.. lmao
He has a great voice, but he's not Elvis. He studied Elvis, as you can tell by by elements in his voice and moves on stage. They were friends and he told Elvis that he practiced in front of a mirror to get the right stage moves and voice inflections. So many singers wanted to be the next Elvis. No one will ever measure up.
Tom Jones is 82 years old today and he still sounds that good! Amazing!
I don’t remember who interviewed him. But the interviewer said many people thought he was a black artist. And he found it to be a tremendous compliment. He’s from Wales but he has soul.
You didn't disappoint with your reaction when you realized what he did. ❤😂

Tommy you rock! Your delivery of a song is so emotional and passionate, you put that into every single song you sing!❤️🙏😎🎼🔥💋
He sure has a beautiful voice. Always enjoyed Tom’s music. Thanks for sharing.

A much older Tom Jones preformed this at Queen Elizabeths 50 year Jubilee. Great reaction.
My Dad says you should listen to Tom's cover of "Let It Be Me" to see how a love song can be really delivered.

I remember my sister’s friend had a life-size poster of Tom Jones on her wall! She was completely smitten by him! As a little girl about seven, I was very impressed!😂
My mom watched his tv show every week. I love Tom Jones. If I ever met him, the first thing I would say to him is, What's New Pussycat?!!
Every time I watch you, I am struck by how nice your singing voice is.

My mom always did the panty melt over Tom 😂

Will you please listen to Demon Hunter Master? I think it's the best song to get into them. It's on their album exile.

He did not want to be the next Elvis! In fact Elvis wished he could sing like him!
here is a good one for ya BLACKFOOT train train.....you will mot be disappointed.
The younger generation doing reaction should listen to the lyrics instead of clowning.
Thank you. Please listen to Tom Jones' "Kiss" with Art of Noise.
Thank you. Please listen to Fairport Convention's "Matty Groves", or Emmylou Harris' "Deeper Well".
