Tom is around 83 and sounds just as good now as he did in his heyday. There are clips of him on UA-cam as a judge on the Voice UK where he has sung. It's amazing.
In his autobiography, Over the Top and Back, Tom recalled meeting Melinda Rose Trenchard, known as Linda, when they were walking to school when they were just 12. They reportedly started dating at 14, and when she fell pregnant, the two married in March 1957, when they were just 16. They were married 59 years at the time her death 2016.
My mother was so crazy about TJ. We'd watch his TV show every Friday night with popcorn and sodas. His TV show was like a weekly event in our house back in the early 70s. 😊
There was a time when you couldn’t swing your hips like that on national TV a lot of times it was censored but eventually everybody came around and Tom knew how to get the ladies excited I was just a kid when he became famous and even as a kid I knew there was something special about him. Tom was married at the time and had a kid, but that never stopped him. He was well known as a ladies man and nobody seem to care that he was married. Tom had a lot of groupies. That’s how we used to dance back in the day. People don’t dance together like they used to. I still do it when I go out with my friends and I dance with my grandchildren as well. I have enlightened my girls over the years and my grandchildren on how much fun it was growing up in the 60s, 70s and 80s. It was great back in the day being surrounded by all this great music. I wish I could go back sometimes. Younger generations need to get out there sing, dance and have as much fun as possible as if no one were watching. Get your nose out from in front of the computer, cell phone, and social media and get your groove on. it is what still keeps me young at the age of 62✌🏻😎
I think everyone's mom did; mine sure did! Though I do remember peeking into the kitchen one night when the show was on, and my dad was dancing to the song with a wooden spoon as a microphone, so Tom had wide appeal.
I am 71 years old and I was introduce to The Tom Jones show by my grandma , she loved Tom Jones and we watched his show every week and let me tell you Grand loved the man .
I love seeing anyone exposed to Sir Tom Jones for the first time, he was married to the same woman, I believe his high school sweetheart for many many years, until she died! You are going to get my laptop pregnant, I about fell out of my chair! Thank you AB! FABULOUS!
So many entertaining performances through the decades. Many ladies of all ages loved him. There is a video of Jennifer Hudson (fellow voice coach who performed with him) "crushing on him". Even in his 80's he still has the swag😂 Feel a bit sorry for his wife but she seemed to tolerate his behavior as long as he came home to her - which he did, and he apparently loved her and grieved for her when she died. Thanks for your entertaining reaction AB!!
I'm 55, my Mom told me stories about women would throw their bras and underwear on stage during his concerts!! I'm not sure if Elvis was the first singer where women threw those on stage, but I know they did for Tom!!!
Tom Jones is what Carlton WANTED to be - that was the joke, never what Tom Jones was. TJ loved women, loved rock and roll, and was full of energy, rhythm, good natured sexual attraction, a sheer delight. And still is at almost 84. LOL
There is a reactor who goes back to the fifties, sixties, and seventies who refers to what she calls the “Panty Dropper Club.” Tom Jones is a premier starter member of the club. When the show is live but not on television there will be ladies throwing their underwear (top and bottom) and hotel room keys up on stage. As my wife used to say Tom is sex on a stick. And if the stories are true he’s a nice guy also.
Yeah Tom was known for his moves. Different to Elvis, actually.more suggestive and like Elvis there was a time when on TV he wasnt filmed from the waist down. Funny that he and Elvis were good friends too lol.
Tom Jones could still get in now it his 80's.😂 Tom and Elvis were friends. Can you imagine them sitting in a hotel suite in Vegas (they sometimes performed there at the same time) comparing how many women they kissed that night on stage? 😂😂
I'm so glad that you finally got around to this, cuz I knew you'd flip your wig, when you saw Tom, dancin'---to say nothing of him kissin' several women!!! LOL There's a video of Elvis havin' a Kiss-fest, too, while singing "Love Me Tender". I think you've reacted to the song, but you did the wrong video---I think "best live 1970", is in the title!!
Yet another reactor in love with the sound of his own voice. Remember the golden rule, less is more. I prefer reactors who play the whole video without interrupting, and give their reaction at the end. Far less irritating.
Tom was knocking back 250 women a year when he was on the road. He was a bad man, but his wife stayed. He did admit that during an argument about his cheating , his wife doubled up her fist and hit him in the face!!
Oh YES💜,Elvis,Dean & Tom. My Top 3,,,,,,talk about the S E X😘😘😘 OH HECK YEA,,,,I’m 65,,,,, been listening to & watching them all my life & will Always💜 LOVE YOUR REACTION🤣😂🤣😂👍🏼
Yes , Tom is a lady’s man and he’s very talented. However this song was originally done by Roy Head who during the last part of the song would go crazy on stage…. Dancing if you’d even call it that. Check him out.
And I don’t mean any disrespect to artists today, But this is all sound the same. When they have a concert. It’s not like tremendous effort and it’s gone without background help. So I like it real.
Your were not listening to his voice shame on you ! Were do you think Carlton got the dance move from .Tom Jones he was even on the Fresh Prince Check It Out
Isn’t it funny The new generations, including me really. Even though I am 59 years old, but they were dancing and being sexy and gyrating doing all that stuff before we thought that was possible. But what goes on now is nothing new. It’s copycats from certain people in the past. But it was less orchestrated and more free Spirit. I’m not impressed with the new entertainment much. Because they’re not entertaining. Sometimes their voices sound all the same to me. I don’t know what that is about that.
That’s how that time was he was not alone, hippy power, and love, it’s odd to your time , but people are hucking up on line in your time, different times in each generation.

I knew this would be a great reaction 😂😂😂
I laughed so hard I couldn’t breathe. Thanks AB😂❤
😅
Me too 😂
Tom, Tom the ladies man! Saw him in concert many times..his voice is so powerful!
When Tom Jones sings everyone in the room is instantly pregnant- including the band and the film crew. 🤣
😆🤣
Already laughing before watching cause i know what you’re in for 🤣🤣🤣
This is from his TV show ! My Mom and I used to watch every week !
LOL!!! But, YOUR FACE, AB!! 😂😂😂Priceless!! Great reaction!!🎉🎉🎉
My mother was so crazy about TJ. We'd watch his TV show every Friday night with popcorn and sodas. His TV show was like a weekly event in our house back in the early 70s. 😊
Rumor is Tom is packing his own legendary jump rope for them to play with if you catch my drift and the woman know it
That ain't no rumor, there are actual photos of it, Tom in a speedo, Tom packing it in his blue jeans!
So Tom Jones & Tommy Lee saw 🪚 with Ron Jeremy in the big lumber yard? 🪵😉

Your shock and awe reaction is priceless!!!! Tommy boy was holding back anything on that performance!

Ahhhh, Tom Jones! My Mom had the hots for him back in the 60s and 70s. He had a show that was on once a week. Never missed one. 😂

You should check out Tom singing 'What's new pussycat'. So good.

Tom has always been incredible ❤
You played that just right for comedic value! 🤣🤣🤣👊🏻😎
I love seeing anyone exposed to Sir Tom Jones for the first time, he was married to the same woman, I believe his high school sweetheart for many many years, until she died!

Every Thursday night 9 PM in the late 60s,he put on a great show.
So many entertaining performances through the decades. Many ladies of all ages loved him. There is a video of Jennifer Hudson (fellow voice coach who performed with him) "crushing on him". Tom Jones exemplified the phrase... dance like no one's watching.
Look at his expression lol
My Grand dads favorite. It is easy to see why he admired him

Tom and Elvis were friends. Can you imagine them sitting in a hotel suite in Vegas (they sometimes performed there at the same time) comparing how many women they kissed that night on stage? 😂😂
React to more of his songs. You’ll see another side. But he always has a swag about him.
OMG you guys are so funny, the kisses were not unsual at that time! People did not have pest or anything else that is around these days! 😂
I'm so glad that you finally got around to this, cuz I knew you'd flip your wig, when you saw Tom, dancin'---to say nothing of him kissin' several women!!! LOL

Way to work a room.
Sorry but you really don’t know how funny was growing up during the 60s and 70s
Fact! Women threw their pantys on stage.
That would not happen in this generation people would be scared to catch herpes or COVID besides singers stay miles away from the crowds nowadays

You try to Mimik Mr. Video. I don’t like that!
