What a beautiful and talented man Taylor was. God Bless him, his family, band mates, friends. May your beautiful soul Taylor never be forgotten ♥ what a beautiful song.
Thank you for this, Richard Marx. All of these tributes from so many artists truly speaks to how widely respected and adored he was not only as a musician, but also as a person.
Good on you Richard , Taylor played drums on one of your new tracks. Will definitely get the album. Good of you to give this tribute to him . Godspeed Taylor
It's sad that it takes something like this terrible tragedy to connect with 'old' artists of my teenage years via UA-cam. But wow, yes, Richard Marx was amazing when I was a young one and seeing this now, I'll be looking out for his album this summer. I'm sure Taylor is smiling his great smile from Drummer Heaven 🙂
Oh my gosh!! I'm the same age as Taylor , such a HUGE MUSIC FAN, 🎶 always heard Richard Marx, never knew how really beautiful he sang.....wow jus wow! Fantastic Richard, how touching really brought me to tears , what a beautiful song! 🎵 🎶 🎵 thank you Kim-n-Carolina ❤️
it's amazing how many tributes artists around the world can do for Taylor. It's impressive to see how much he was loved and admired all over the world, and it was well and truly deserved. The days go by but the tears can't stop..
So many people from so many genres, paying tribute to what a great person Taylor was. Literally no one has a bad word to say about him, and that make his passing hurt even more.
Beautiful heartfelt words. Beautiful song for anyone who struggles with demons. Thank you Richard Marx. Brought tears to my eyes. Whoever put the video montage did a great job too!
Thank you for the video! Taylor is missed greatly and we will have to do our best to keep his music, his lovely personality, his laughter, and his love of life in our hearts and celebrate it as often as we can. Taylor’s loss is devastatingly tragic for his family, friends, band mates, and fans all around the world. Taylor was taken from this world far too soon! He had so much more to give and we would have taken it for sure! We love you Taylor! We will never forget you! Your star will shine bright for all to see! 🙏🏻💔🕯
I am so sad, heartbroken! TAYLOR May You Rest In Peace🕊! I can't process this loss. I have been emotional, shedding tears! Thank You So Much For Your Talent And Great Music You Created! FOO FIGHTERS is my favorite Rock 🎸🥁 band starting in the mid 90's! My Deepest Condolences To Your Family, The Band, Friends! Your Music And Spirit Lives And Will Live In Me As Well As In Every FOO FiGHTERS's Fan And Beyond!!!
Couldn’t have said this better myself💛Been a huge Foo Fighters & Taylor Hawkins fan since the mid 90s too, even when he played drums for Alanis Morissette. Now that I’m a middle-aged woman, I know that 50 is young. When you’re young, you think 50 is old, but it’s really not. He’s gone far too soon. I’ve shed a few tears myself. He was an exceptional drummer and a little ray of sunshine, radiating positive energy wherever he went. He was also a fellow surfer & mountain bike enthusiast like myself, with such a lust for life. After his close-call in 2001, I can remember listening to, hearing or watching him talk about it in interviews over the years - how that experience changed his life and how things like surfing in the ocean and mountain biking in the hills (and obviously drumming and making music with his bandmates) was an outlet for him, and something to really focus his mind and appreciate the beauty of life, without using drugs to fill a void or feel better. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen such an outpouring of grief from all walks of life across the globe. He will be missed by millions & remembered fondly in the hearts & minds of us all. I’m so desperately saddened for his wife and children, plus Dave and his other band mates, who will live with this pain and his very noticeable absence from their lives, forever. I can’t even begin to imagine how they’re feeling right now. I hope that when they see so many tributes and so many kind words and comments about how much he was loved and what a positive impact he had on so many peoples’ lives, it may bring them some comfort. He certainly had a positive impact on my life. After experiencing a deep personal loss myself, for which I’m still grieving years later, from a humanist perspective I think that nobody truly “dies” when the essence of that human being, everything that made them so unique, valued and loved, is kept alive daily in the hearts and memories of others. Taylor will never be forgotten. 💔 RIP Taylor Hawkins
@@Thea7972 thank you, Thea. A very lovely tribute to Taylor. Yes, there is an amazing outpouring of love for him. He touched many people's lives on different levels, I guess. I can't say I am a big fan of FF and now realise that maybe I have been missing something all this time. However, I really love Dave Grohl's and Taylor's personalities, their love of all kinds of music (me too), their sensibility, their honesty about the struggles in their lives, their humour and down to earth-ness. They just seemed like a couple of "ordinary" guys who were talented and made it big-time. It's going to take time to work with this loss, it is so sudden and so tragic. Taylor's on his journey onward, maybe our paths will cross again in different forms. Take care, thanks again Thea. 🙏💗
@@Thea7972 Thank You So Much Thea for your warm-hearted words on Taylor Hawkins's mark and legacy he left on this Life, on our planet! I concord with you on "nobody truly "dies" when the essence of the human being, everything that made them so unique, valued and loved, is kept alive daily in the hearts and memories of others. Taylor will never be forgotten." Indeed when we don't forget a human being, and animal who left this Life, we keep them alive in our hearts and memories, as it's the message in the animated movie "Coco". I feel the pain you are still experiencing from your deep personal loss, I pray God gives you the strength and wisdom to continue, as we all are here with a purpose and temporarily until that moment when we'll have to depart, comes! Thank You So Much Thea! Thank You So Much And Love♥To All Foo Fighters Fans, Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins!!! Rest In Paradise🕊Taylor💔! God Bless You All! Peace🕊
No matter what anyone says about the causes of Taylor's passing he was HUMAN. He has been center stage for over two decades traveling the world, making music and living it and loving it. It came with a price the price being away from his wife, his children and family. It's hard for me to be away from home for just a few days I couldn't imagine for weeks, or months on end. But it's wat they do, they do it for you and I and he was EXTRAORDINARY at the drum set and singing. This has hit us Foo fighters FANS hard. EVERYTIME I hear a Foo Fighters song now I LISTEN to it differently. I listen to Taylor playing the drums and it's as if your right there watching him play. His passion for the drums and music was In his SOUL. One question he was asked during an interview was "Taylor what is the best thing you've ever done" and his answer was NOTHING I expected. Taylor's answer was "Getting my wife pregnant" He loved her and their children so much and my heart hurts for them. I think we all know what Taylor would want for the future of The Foo Fighters no question about it. But how do you go on without your ride or die, your other half, your musical soul mate? This is now the second time around for Dave and I'm just not sure if he can mentally do it. Praying for The Foo Fighters family and to The Hawkins family esp those children. Prayers for your broken heart and may you find peace in your heart. Yesterday is history tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that's why it's called the present. We WILL MISS YOU Taylor and everything you brought to the stage EVERYTIME you played. You Will NEVER be forgotten 🙏💔🥺
The pic of Taylor holding who I think it’s his daughter… damn 💔 Your dad was and will always be loved all over the world darling, you can forever be proud of him. 🇪🇨
Just found this. Check out Taylors video for “Middle Child”. All 3 of his kids are in it. His daughter asked him to write a song for her, so he did. And now it’s just heartbreaking.
Thank you so much for honoring Taylor with this beautiful song, Richard. I like Dave Grohl but I have always loved Taylor the best.I am grieving the loss of this wonderful guy who was an amazing musician, but he was much more like a brother and a friend. He had such a beautiful heart. I have a hard time talking about him in the past tense...it's just impossible to accept that his joyful sweet spirit has been taken away, and the pain grows deeper every day. I have always loved your music, but this song is a masterpiece. Thank you so much for sharing it. #TayIWillAlwaysLoveYouBest #IWillNeverStopSayingYourName 💔
What a BEAUTIFUL tribute by Richard Marx- for a guy he barely knew. I've followed the FFs/Taylor for almost 20 years....and the thing that struck me most, from all the interviews, etc. was: this man was AFRAID. He had severe "performance anxiety", and in the early years, it was even worse in the studio. I don't know if it was Grohl's shadow, but... I think all the drugs were his way of coping w/ his role in the Foos, with his anxiety of live shows, new albums, etc. Lessons are only learned if used- and I feel like 20+ years ago- when Taylor almost died/OD'ed, THAT lesson....wasn't. It's beyond sad; the WASTE; the PAIN to family, friends, bandmates. DAVE. #RIP
I agree with everything you said but I don't think it was being in Dave's shadow. He clearly struggled with crippling anxiety and Dave was his #1 supporter. Also, there has been no confirmation it was a drug overdose at least not an illicit ones. He's lived clean for quite a while.
Heaven knows I've had my 😈...............but we all have some demons in one way or another.......Stay in the fight........RIP Taylor ......Beautiful song Mr Marx
He was much more than the greatest drummer in the wold he was an amazing person who had some Demons that had kept coming back & for many of us who have suffered trauma when they came back & we did not want to deal with them we turn to what we believe makes them go away , but when we sober up they are still there but we have only one way of dealing with them…GOD BLESS YOU TAYLOR YOUR PAIN IS GONE BUT NOT FOR THE PEOPLE THAT LOVED YOU FOR JUST BEING YOU , WE ARE SURROUNDED BY YOUR MEMORIES &THAT WILL NEVER GO AWAY….🙏❤️🕯🌹✌️😢
