the loss of taylor is a tragity, however it doesn't have the darkness as was with Kurt...Alanis's epic amount empathy, oh boy! there is an immense humanitarian base character in common as with dave too...we ALL are sympathetic for/to dave, considering.. This is literally the best cover I have ever heard of this song, and I have heard probably 20 different versions/covers. Rough around the edges my ass this was awesome! Such a great tribute to one of my favorite drummers and rock personalities in general. Music won’t be the same without Taylor and he will be missed. Well done, bravo.

Authentic is right. This guy could have easily gotten by riding his father's coattails and just being a jerk and being lazy. Instead, he stepped up and decided to carry on his father's legacy, just in his own way. While I am personally not a fan of MWVH's music- and I am *NOT* saying that it's bad AT ALL, it's just not my personal thing- I absolutely respect these guys to their very core. This videos proves that they only care about the music, being there for the moment, for the crowd, for one another, and for spreading joy. They're doing all the right things and I hope they'll always be known for just that.

@Jeff Breckner probably as they are now yeah, but Kurt really liked some of the songs Dave played for him. Alone + Easy Target impressed Kurt so much that he wanted him to start writing for Nirvana.
I love seeing all these tributes to Taylor. Most of these bad ass drummers grew up listening to Taylor and playing these songs in their garages.

You guys can't forget that even though this is Mammoth WVH's first tour, Wolfy has been touring professionally for over half his life now. He can basically do anything he wants
To most people this song sounds simple, it is actually very difficult to pull off the ascetic. WVH apologies on "the rough edges", show how truly humble he is as an artist. I've had other discussions with musicians buddies of mine about him riding Eddie's coat tails, I showed them this cover, and we no longer have them discussions, in fact, they are very impressed. WVH is a stand alone artist. Good for him.
Eddie raised a great person. He loved wvh and it shows. Rip Taylor, gave me tears listening.
This song has always been extremely emotional for me. The drums and the overall feeling are very moving, and it stirs actual emotions in my head that I can't explain. But, as lame and trite as I know this sounds, it often brings me to tears. It's just very heavy for me, That being said, I never wanted to hear it covered by anyone else, because I was worried that they'd ruin it. Then I saw this. This cover is, in my opinion, as perfect and just mind blowing as any cover of a once in a lifetime song can be. It was a beautiful dedication to Taylor, and these guys played it with such finesse and so much great respect to the original that it hit me the same as if I heard it for the first time. Knowing the reason behind it had me in tears.
This is what music is all about. The life, the love, the good times and the bad.
So many haters out there for WVH and I can't understand them at all. Wolf is an AMAZING artist with a talent that will only get better.

Awesome tribute to Taylor, so thankful I got to see him play live twice. Once in 97 when he was new in the Foo's and they were touring Colour and the Shape. They played this little venue called The Garage because it was literally a garage, with a bar. I got to stand next to Taylor, Pat and Dave. Still the best show I've ever been to.
