my gaming OC- factory 1660 gives 98fps GTA 5 on ultra.. my friend has ventor 1660 ti but not OC .. gives 95fps.. so if you think of buying ventor or OC 1660 which are 50 euros apart get the 1660... and u say well i can overclock the ventor one .. u can but wont be the same.. factory overclock is different cuz they give u better cooling system and try to oveclok it safely ... either way just dont blow up ur card :D

Over 10 years later and the can it play Crysis benchmark is as relevant as ever. Btw for people asking about the cores he may have disabled two of the cores since most games on the market don't benefit more then four cores. Why do this? To reduce power draw and thermals can be one reason. The real reason why some avid gamers seek to do this is that by disabling more cores then can rapidly boost over clock performance in the remaining cores. This means if most of the games you play take advantage of four processors you can disable the extra cores beyond four to see better performance in overclocking them.

This card is probably the best on Budget to buy in 2019 save money and wait until next year for more game announcement this is perfect for RDRR2 PC , unless you have money to burn then you can invest in Ray tracing but not many ray tracing games out there except Cyber Punk which is in April 2020, my personal opinion spending around 400 to 600 on a card in 2019 is the best way to go.

In some games the temperature hit 83c that's very high I'm having the same problem with my 1660 Ti from MSI, even when lowering the settings to the lowest I still get 76c or 77c on many games I think the card is poorly designed and people should skip it and get the 2060 supper.
I see also high cpu temp which means he dont have good airflow. Adding case fans would help. I have inno3d 1070 gpu also high temp cause not good cooler of this brand but my i5 8400 stock cooler temp is like - 15 than his. I dont know how good this temp is for lifetime.

@@theBATmaify GPUs are designed to run on max speed. You dont buy a RTX2080Ti to run it at 720p but at 4k. Same goes with every videocard. As long as the temperature is acceptable it will not degrade with time. Running at 87*C for a long time will cause issues even though its in the Thermal limits of the card. But yea like Khoa said it doesn't work like that lol. I've been running a heavily overclocked GTX 970 for the past 4 Years and i tested older games i ran when it was brand new and it runs exactly the same or in some cases better.

because both of those games are not very demanding at all. My 1070 ti gets a constant 150 fps on siege and when I used to play fortnite it was like 250. 1660 ti is slightly less fps I'm pretty sure.

Nuno Santos usually it’s like that in every game, but watch dogs 2 is so poorly optimized that it stutters and freezes if you don’t play it on a ssd. There’s many videos on yt when you can see it. You can’t play it on HDD, I wonder how they managed to make the game playable on ps4

It runs well but don't push your graphics card too much because it will run games worse as time flies, just put some on medium and some on high
why spend all that money and not use your GPU to its fullest?
If you want your gpu to last longer don't max it out. It's just like if you run you don't go full speed to last longer.
@@theBATmaify GPUs are designed to run on max speed. You dont buy a RTX2080Ti to run it at 720p but at 4k. Same goes with every videocard. As long as the temperature is acceptable it will not degrade with time. Running at 87*C for a long time will cause issues even though its in the Thermal limits of the card. But yea like Khoa said it doesn't work like that lol. I've been running a heavily overclocked GTX 970 for the past 4 Years and i tested older games i ran when it was brand new and it runs exactly the same or in some cases better.
I’ve been thinking about upgrading to this, currently have gtx 1050 which is getting old..

It would be a significant upgrade, although you can easily find used gtx1070s for around $200.
Go for AMD, better for budget. Amd rx 5700 or if you want to cheap out rx 580/590.

@@davidvilla493 yeah, still ok but 85-90c is too much, if you have extreme temps like this you may consider extending your gpu life by downloading msi afterburner And turn up fan speeds :)

I dont play fortnite, but it is one of the most played games. Why didn't you include it. You also missed siege, which I do play.
because both of those games are not very demanding at all. My 1070 ti gets a constant 150 fps on siege and when I used to play fortnite it was like 250. 1660 ti is slightly less fps I'm pretty sure.
Games like csgo aren't demanding, but siege definately is.

Nuno Santos usually it’s like that in every game, but watch dogs 2 is so poorly optimized that it stutters and freezes if you don’t play it on a ssd. There’s many videos on yt when you can see it. You can’t play it on HDD, I wonder how they managed to make the game playable on ps4
