Want to make sure not to make myself sick from mold, so please let me know if that is a concern or is dehydrated leaves can last like spices do, a very long time. What’s the shelf life?

  • @derekfrost8991

    I put them in sauerkraut because they're high in fibre which protects the heart, and you're kind of missing out just using them in tea. I'm not sure all the benefits you mention are water-soluble either. To get all that in your body you need to brew or ferment.. :)

    • @MelissaKNorris
      @MelissaKNorris  5 років тому +1

      I tried all sorts of teas with my daughter to increase milk supply (didn't have the issue with my son) and honestly, none of them seemed to help me personally, but I had a lot of underlying hormone and gut health issues I didn't know about at that time which I'm sure played a larger part. But red raspberry leaf isn't usually listed as a top herb for milk supply and I haven't researched it enough to know how much comes through the breast milk and if it would be appropriate for the infant. I would definitely check with a natural path or certified herbalist on that one.

    • @christineherbster609
      @christineherbster609 5 років тому

      Thanks so much for the reply! My daughters is 14 months old and feeding less often, so I’ve had a decrease in milk supply. I haven’t seen much difference when I take fenugreek. So I will try to find out from an herbalist 😊

    • @MelissaKNorris
      @MelissaKNorris  5 років тому

      Hi Rebecca, usually it's the Echinacea angustifolia, echinacea pallida, and echinacea purpurea, or the purple coneflowers for medicinal properties. Inside the Pioneering Today Academy we have a full natural medicine and herbal series, it's not open for enrollment currently but you might want to get on the notify list for when we do here --> melissaknorris.com/pioneering-today-academy-notify-me/
      The great thing about harvest echinacea is you can use the flower petals, leaves, and roots (roots depend on age of the plant before harvesting).
