I was an extra in the bar on this episode filmed at the Raritan River club in New Brunswick nj or Edison just after I graduated from Rutgers. I also had a vehicle used on the route 1 bridge background for a later scene where Heard jumped to his characters death from the bridge
Both actors were approachable and hung out casually with the entire crew, very down to earth . James Gandolfini was somewhat unknown at this beginning couple of years of the Sopranos.
He drove himself home in a small white pickup truck. As he passed me on the turnpike he gave a wave. Think he was aimed for Staten Island…. Just
My own stupid brush with fame that becomes a cherished memory. Always privilege to be there in the room with such talent…. Rip to both of them.

Two great actors, gone too soon. John Heard had a reputation for being difficult to work with, but he worked with NY Stage and Film, a theatre incubator company that helps develop the next generation of stage professionals-not just actors and directors, but stage managers, designers, and techies. I worked with him on a stage reading of John Patrick Shanley’s Cellini, as an apprentice director under Shanley. I got lunches for the group, and John Shanley wasn’t impressed when I gave him his sandwich and salt-and-vinegar chips. John Heard laughed and said, “it’s your fault for telling the Canadian kid you wanted ‘regular’ chips!”
    RIP, gentlemen.

Well, when your the boss, sometimes your built up frustrations get released on others who didn’t have anything to do with it. 99% of the population has absolutely no idea what it means to build and run a business, let alone a criminal one. It’s harder than any other job there is. It may not be physically hard for some businesses, but mentally and emotionally its one of the toughest and scariest things in the world to run a business. Its a non stop 24/7, 365 days a year headache that requires constant attention and intervention, that is followed by having to maintain countless and a always growing number of relationships with endless amounts of people. Just imagine going into work, and never leaving. Thats what owning/managing a small business is. And thats why your boss is a douche.

Tony’s loyalty almost got him burnt a few times. That’s why he had to be ruthless. He knew at the end of the day he had to do whatever to save himself in a lifestyle where they were supposed to be looking out for each other. The entire show was him being burnt by people he loved or broke bread with. The psychology is all over this series.

It’s a bitter and selfish person who is mad about the good fortune of others just because they didn’t get it. Also, it’s only $10k or $20k if you make less than $125k. And it was blocked by the courts, so it isn’t even happening.
Student loan debt relief would help the economy and cost almost nothing. Those debts are owed to the federal government, no taxpayer money is being used to “pay off” any student loans, they’re just wiped from the books.
