Love your backroads videos, we learned a lot, they helped us to plan our vacations and discover the beautiful God's country, too many places, too little time! ❤
I used to live in Jones Cove. I enjoyed seeing the video of familiar places. The Bush/tree with the hanging purple flowers are called Wysteria bushes. The most beautiful, fragrant blooms.
Dawn and Will my Wife and I love you two and the fun videos you are posting. We got a little chuckle, in this video you mentioned about the gravel roads, when we were young all the roads were gravel. We are from Ohio, but a lot of my family lived in Pikeville Tennessee. Have fun and stay safe 😀
Oh my gosh you two I love ❤️❤️this, these are my favourite kind of ride along with ya I really love the country roads and seeing the old homesteads barns and beautiful old Churches.it take me back many years ago when life seem so simple and people seem to be so kind and thoughtful to one another .I hope you will be doing more like this so what few more years God may bless me with and me not being able to travel to God country which I also call that part of the USA.your road trips like this sure warms my old heart and eyes to see.thank ya so very much and God bless and keep y'all.love you
I love the country and mountain drives. Thanks for taking time to show us around TN and beautiful scenery. Small churches serve a big purpose.. God is great.. Looking forward to more~ Tracilyn
Reminds me of the excursions I used to be on through New Hampshire and Maine many years ago. With the old houses, barns, deteriorating structures, and metal roofs. Also the farms, livestock, and rivers along the roadside. (Oh, and approaching halfway across a bridge is not the time to start questioning its integrity. 😊)
I lust love your back road blogs....they give us a better sense of the area......so much more than just the Parkway! The countryside is what makes these counties so lovely. You mentioned directions/maps.......or at least some landmarks would be extremely helpful to find places . We plan on being up there in Dec, safely distancing so definitely being outdoors or exploring the backroads are in the plan. Thank you and love your blogs.
First let me say that I love every video that y'all make! And in this one I may have found a bit of my own family history!! I was so excited to see the road sign that said McMahan Way. Some of my grandfather's from Ireland had actually settled in that area but we couldn't find much information. Alot of them married Native Americans and some last names were changed. By the time my ancestors made it to AL, the name McMahan was shortened to Mahan. I have been searching for missing links and stories for years! I hoping maybe I have found a new little trail to follow!! Both my Irish and Native American heritage are so very important to me! So this sparked so much joy for me 💕
My first time seeing your videos, gotta say I was at ease through it all... Mucho thanks. I look forward to seeing more of them... You and Dawn make us feel like we are right there with you. Again many thanks.
Nice drive beautiful scenery those white ball flowers was a snow ball bush i have one in my yard that was planted by my great-grandfather. The tree is a wisteria. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great relaxing ride through the beautiful countryside. So many old barns and homesites, makes mind drift back to much simpler times when people had to work so hard to survive. My grandparents grew up like that and they appreciated and took care of everything they had.
Hi y'all...that was an amazing video....all the scenery, barns, old homes, flowers, farmland and animals....thank you and stay safe and be blessed with good health.
You and your wife make my heart smile. Im happy i happened upon your page. I can't wait to get back to Gatlinburg. Soon God willing. You guys be safe and keep up the good work.
It just doesn't get any better than the backroads to me🤗...Beautiful green pastures🖼 dotted with cows 🐂🐃🐄 horses🐎🐴 bathing and basking in the sun🌞many old barns and home🏠 places of years past ...mountains🌲 ⛰ and rolling hills🌲 🌲rising up to meet blue🌄 skies ...wildflower🌾🌻🌷🍀patches swaying in the wind and all God's creatures call it home🐺🦊🦝🐴🦌🐗🐄🐑🦙🐿🐻🐦🦆🐝🐞🦋🐛simply beautiful...thanks for sharing it means so much especially at this time😊🦋🦋...🐛
The pretty tree looks like Wisteria. I love all the nature shots. We can't leave our house except for groceries right now so this was a much appreciated change of view for me. Thanks!
From Santa Barbara, we enjoy your videos of the most beautiful country in the world! Keep up the good work, and we can't wait to get back there to visit! Thank you
Yo Will and Dawn my Princess and I spent our honeymoon in Gatlinburg and just loved it. We cant wait for the day you guys tell us everything is back open. I will be watching your vlogs and your stories about the smokey Mtns. Keep up the good work and be safe out there. I live near Chatham Ontario about 1 hour south of Port Huron Michigan on the Canadian side, hopefully when all this Covid is over we can get back there. Cyas.....Miser
We stayed on the Cosby end of Jones Cove Rd. when we came up back in November. Where Jones Cove Rd. comes out is only a couple of miles from Carver's Apple Barn and Restaurant. You should try the restaurant some time if you haven't already. Especially the chicken and dumplings.
Such great views for those of us who cant be there. Thanks for posting it. West Tennessee could have some wonderful views as well were it not for the abundance of trash littering all the roadways.
Hey Will & Dawn...what a cool video you filmed today! By the looks of the beautiful Tennessee Landscape, one would never know that there was any indication of the Mr. McNasty’s out there...Eh?! By the way, I believe the red flowered plant you were wondering about is a “Trumpet plant”, but who knows, I could be wrong. Have a great day and just remember this Everyone: On the positive side of life, this will all be over and just you see...GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT! 😊
🐰 This ride with you guys was fun like always. 🐰 The white pom pom bush was a white hydrangea bush it is a beautiful plant. 🐰 We have a lot of those plants in our area here in Louisiana. 🐰 So thank you so much for the ride. 🐰 Stay safe and God bless you both.🐰 Happy Easter to you and your family. 🐰 🐰 Love Mrs. Dell 🐰
Will and Dawn: We just love these videos, the idea about the maps is a good idea. Will you did much better with your meetings with the bovines. Keep up the good work and stay safe and healthy!
Years ago I would take pictures of all kinds of this. One I wanted to do is take pictures of small homes that people lives in. But I never did but wish I had done it.
The Pompom tree I think it is called the Snow ball tree as that is what my Aunt Lena age 93 told me. Love your drives as I use to drive alot but now a days I mostly just stay home. We have bigger mountain's but the people from out in west tell us around here in Elgin, Albert County, New Brunswick, that our mountains are only hills.
Enjoying all the videos you guys are doing and it makes me feel like I am in the Jeep with you both. It’s truly God’s country my mom always thinks of spring when everything comes back to alive because that’s what Jesus did it’s so amazing and happy Easter to you both keep the videos coming love you both stay safe you both. ♥️ hugs 🤗 from the internet from my phone.
My Granny had one of the bushes with the white ball of flowers in her yard when I was growing up. She called it a snowball bush. Depending on how you trimmed it it could grow into a small tree or stay a bush. I live in North Carolina, so it might be called something else in a different location.
Awesome drive...
Beautiful Churches, country homes & scenic views!
*Love your channel!!* ⚘
I really love the countryside videos with the barns and cows! Thank you!

The pompon flower is a snow ball bush.
The pompom is actually a hydrangea. They can be purple, pink or even blue depending on the soil. We call them snowball as well.
Really nice scenery. Some of those old barns reminded me of something Bob Ross would paint. Nice video!
when I saw little we lived in a country home with a tin roof loved it when it rained
