One really noticeable difference for me, since I have had OG Maranas, Michelin Maranas, and the Joslins is that the Joslin has a slightly wider/spacious toe box compared to the marana. Maybe it's because the toe cap isn't screened on? Every now and then I can feel my pinky toe jutting against the toe cap on the marana but not the Joslin! Also, the tongue is slightly more padded than the marana. I think Joslin made the perfect skate shoe
Would you recommend Etnies Joslin over Michelin Maranas? I feel like having the toe cap under the leather is like having a bulletproof vest only attached to your back. I hope I'm wrong beacuse I want to try a new style of shoes
@@hawky4397 Yeah, I think so. The shoe seems to feel more secure for longer as you skate it. The Marana is secure but once it's really broken in it can be tough to keep it tight on your foot without tying the laces super tight, as there's also no tongue straps, which the Joslin has. The padding and height of the collar hold your foot in nicely.
@@Ferolii I've had certain Maranas last longer than my Joslin's but I think I get more out of Joslin's before I have to put work in to make them last. The stitching next to the laces on the side of the shoe should be super glued or shoe gooed early because it can blow out otherwise and feel almost unskateable because it gets so loose. The marana for flip tricks and flat ground only is probably more durable then Joslins. You get a proper toe cap AND suede. On the Joslin you get suede and then a rubber toe cap underneath but it's not exactly the same material as the outer one on the Marana. Still durable though.
@@kmrskates Wow ty very much bro you rly helped me. I think i'll keep getting maranas cause i just want durability now, im skating hard now and dont wanna buy shoes every 2-3 months so i get broke :') Cheers bro!

What about durability? Do you think Joslin's last longer? I mostly go on flatground tricks
