Fool to cry. Beast of burden. Brown sugar. Far away eyes. Waiting on a friend. 19th nervous breakdown. Same age as BP but my mum is a HUGE Stones fan so I grew up with the stones.
sympathy is amazing in concert when the audience chimes in at the beginning and it delays them from actually singing and then you leave the concert and everyone keeps singing echoing back and forth.
🙌💯 Yes!! 🎉🎉 Came here to say this. BP may have heard a cover (Cowboy Junkies, maybe?) but the original version is my absolute favorite RS song. @Black Pegasus The Stones have SO many hits - and I love most of them. However, many deeper cuts are underrated. You basically can’t go wrong with ANYTHING off these albums: - Exile on Main Street - Beggars Banquet - Sticky Fingers - Let It Bleed My favorite tracks (not in order) are: - Wild Horses - Gimme Shelter - Torn and Frayed - Sweet Virginia - Dead Flowers - Moonlight Mile - Salt of the Earth - Jigsaw Puzzle - Country Honk (but listen to Honky-Tonk Woman first, to get the joke) - The Girl With the Faraway Eyes (from the Some Girls album, not any of those listed above) The rabbit hole is deep…but I think you’ll enjoy it 👍💐
THE ROLLING STONES ARE THE LONGEST RUNNING BAND IN HISTORY. THEY BEEN SINGING SINCE THE 1960'S AND BEEN SINGING FOR OVER 65 YEARS AND STILL GOING. THEY JUST HAD A TOUR. MICK JAGGER IS 80 YEARS OLD TODAY. THAT SONG MOVES LIKE JAGGER IS ABOUT HIM, BECAUSE OF HIS DANCING ON STAGE. THEY HAVE OVER 60 ALBUMS AND HAVE MANY DIFFERENT TYPRES OF MUSIC.
Yep ,, the Stones just hit different. Please do Sympathy for the Devil and You Can’t Always Get What You Want, 2 masterpieces. Thank you for another great reaction
I've been hooked on the Rolling Stones since about 1964 when "Satisfaction" came out. I was 12 then. All their songs are great and all their albums are big hits. Too many songs to list. I am now 72 and still a fan and still go crazy over their music. They are still touring in 2024. They just can't retire. They love music and entertaining too much!
Holy smokes, I think I was about 11 or 12 when this song came out and it was on constant play!!! Lord we had good music back in the day I feel sorry for today’s people
Yep, music went downhill when 2000 hit. We didn't know how good we had it until then. Good music was everywhere, then 2000 came, and now finding good music feels like hunting for gold. You need to dig a bit and discard a lot of useless rocks to find that single glimmer of gold every now and then. I miss the 80's and 90's.
Angie is my favorite Rolling Stones song, and one of my favorite songs of all time. Mick Jagger is such a showman and he puts so much emotion into this song about the end of a relationship. Sometimes caring for someone just isn't enough and you just have to say goodbye. This song always makes me emotional. 😢
Huge song in 73 when I graduated from high school. Gimme Shelter is my favorite RS song but this one would be second even though they aren't similar at all.
This song was thier lead single on thier "Goats Head Soup" record (1973) which is an amazing record (Must listen would be "Winter"). Thanks for reacting.
Love this but my favourite is Like A Rainbow 🌈 but it’s quite hard to have a favourite when there’s all their dance hits.. Daddy your a fool to cry.. Great British band that my Dad would love to get on the dance floor and do Jaggers dance.. Brilliant ❤❤❤
@@michaeltaylor8835. Mick also had an affair with David , Angie caught them in bed together. According to Keith ‘this song was written about his Daughter Angela.
Rolling Stones has a HUGE number of Chart topping hits to choose from. Check out, "Wild Horses", "Paint it Black", "Honky Tonk Woman", "Get off of my Cloud", "Gimme Shelter", "As Tears Go By".. an so much more. This is one of the longest surviving bands in the world. I look forward to seeing more Rolling Stones and also would like to put a plug in for "The Who" from the same era, and a couple songs I think will hit you good are: "Behind Blue Eyes" and "Love, Reign O’er Me". Two amazing songs! Make sure to watch the Studio versions of all these songs, much better than the live ones. Cheers.
Rolling Stones are a British Rock band Mick Jagger lead singer with the big lips. Ron Wood guitarist. Started in early 60s. Aerosmith is an AMERICAN rock band fronted by Steven Tyler, or as his birth name is Tallarico. He is of Italian descent. His father was a classically trained pianist and he learned music by playing under his grand piano when he was a child. His family managed one of those summer camp places like on Dirty Dancing, and they had music concerts in the barn areas the kids came too. Tyler played in one band and He met Joe Perry at one of these concerts when they were young teens. They formed the band Aerosmith in 1970 after going to Woodstock in 1969, breaking into a booth and stealing a flag with wings similar to the one that became their emblem. with their drummer Joey Kramer and Tom Hamilton bass. They moved to Boston and lived in an apartment, stayed up all night trying to write songs watching The Three Stooges. Tyler wrote some of the most poetic lyrics at the age of 17, when he wrote Dream On. They wrote a bunch of songs, played a bunch of hole in the wall clubs then got famous. But started doing too many drugs and heroin and became huge in the 1970s before drugs and infighting broke them up in 1979. Joe Perry went off on his own but tanked and the crowds wanted him back in Aerosmith. They narrowly dodged fate when their management rented an old airplane to travel on. Fortunately they had someone inspect it, they were told it was a piece of junk and refused to fly on it just a week before Lynyrd Skynyrd crashed in it 10/20/1977. They were failing in their record sales during the disco era in the early 1980s, then were blessed by the collaboration with Run DMC on the remake of Aerosmith’s Walk this Way in 1988. A new generation of fans discovered them, Tyler discovered he had a daughter he didn’t know about that another musician (Todd Rundgren) was raising as his daughter, and the rest is history. They are almost 80 and still rocking. Steven Tyler is a poet and awesome singer and Joe Perry is a great guitarist. They lived through the drugs although it’s still a battle for Tyler and are now rocker granddads.
❤ The Stones are a big rabbit hole. They have so many songs that it would take you a while to just listen to them for yourself. Love watching your reactions. You're a intelligent man who can relate to the lyrics better than anyone else on u tube.
My farvorite " Before They Make Me Run (Remastered) · The Rolling Stones" reminds me of my youth. You should give it a listen, u won't be disappointed !
My first daughter was born in 1980. My mother-in-law was a very religious woman. I wanted to name my daughter Rachel Nicole but my mother-in-law (who I loved dearly) mentioned to me that there was a Rachel in the Bible who was an evil woman and she didn't push but suggested Angela. All of a sudden the song "Angie" by the Stones came into my head and it was (and still is) an emotional favorite of mine. I immediately agreed and she became Angela Nicole. My daughter to this day will acknowledge the song wherever and whenever it's played. And I still can't help but get teary-eyed hearing it.
Angie, a Rolling Stones classic was the leading single for their album Goat's Head Soup. This album had a number of special guest appearances. Just on keyboards you can listen to Billy Preston, Ian Stewart, and on Angie the great Nicky Hopkins.
The Stones discography is huge. They have some absolute masterpieces their music stands the test of time. They are currently touring (again) in the US to sold out stadiums.
Their concerts are phenomenal!! Have enjoyed their music for decades. I'm 71 & still a huge fan. Mick Jagger is a great performer even compared to the performers of today, he's wild & free which makes their concerts unforgettable. Thank-you for your journey through this era bc the music revolution started around the late 50's -70's . Please continue to explore yesteryear bc there's still diamonds that you haven't heard. Your journey is far from over my young man. Have peace & joy, enjoy the blessed gift of life with your new lil' one by the Lord . You're a good person with a beautiful heart. I 💜💜 you 🤷
I believe this was about a few of the top name rock stars that were playing rotating wives at the time. Mick, Eric and Goerge. This is just from memory from way back when... Rock & Roll = Rolling Stones, one in the same.
One of my favorite Rolling Stones songs. One of my best friends at the time this song came out was named Angie. R.I.P Angie - I hope you're having fun Scuba Wading in heaven 😪 Yes - indeed Mick Jagger. Baby steps, Grasshopper. You're getting there. And by all means - "Sympathy For the Devil" will blow you away!
Love the rolling stones. But never could afford to go to their concert. There a lot of songs by the Rolling Stone you need to listen to, check out Satisfaction. I grew up in the 60's-70's, till now. I love country and rock and roll... yes that is Mick.
I can't even imagine not having heard this classic song over the past 40+ years. One of my favorite Rolling Stones songs, easily top 10, probably top 5! 👍
Don’t sell yourself short. I didn’t grow up listening to hip hop so couldn’t do any better put in front of a rap artist. It’s a wonderful adventure you’re on and we’re here for it. 🌸🌸🌸
*Sympathy for the Devil* is one of their all-time greats, top 5 all-time Rolling Stones song, easy. I would recommend the studio version (1968, from the Beggars Banquet album) first. Nicky Hopkins on piano. Rocky Dzidzornu on congas and cowbell. Michael Cooper, Marianne Faithfull and Anita Pallenberg on backing vocals. Then do one of the *early* live versions, like the one you hovered the mouse over at the end of this video. It's worth hearing twice, and a whole lot more. Pull up the lyrics, it'll be a history lesson, too 👍😎
I have a favourite Stones song and it’s just one that reminds me of where I was when I first heard it as someone I know used to play it on the jukebox in the pub- Almost hear you sigh is the song
I highly recommend "Sympathy For The Devil", and yes, The Stones are the original artists for that song. They have a deep catalog well worth your time to diver into. Thanks for a great reaction! ✌💙✌
They have 50 great songs. There are not many groups that have to decide which 20 songs to sing in a concert. The stones have a song for every mood. I have a lot of recommendations but will let you choose. Most start with Sympathy for the Devil or Gimme Shelter. Their first hit in 1964 was Satisfaction. Also Jumpin Jack Flash, Under My Thumb, She's a Rainbow. Like I said there are about 50.
This song, KISS doing Beth and Hot Chocolate doing the song Emma are three of the biggest surprises from the music of my youth. Just the story and the sadness from groups that you would never guess could pull off a song like this. Joan Rivers used to claim that Mick and Steve were actually the same person before she delivered the zinger, “There can’t be two singers out there with lips big enough to french kiss a moose to death.”
I'm 66 and grew up with this music -- and I agree with you, Mick Jagger and Steve Tyler _did_ share some visual similarities. I'm guessing Tyler may have idolized and/or therefore patterned himself a little after Mick Jagger, early on.
It was written for Angela Bowie, David's wife. I saw them 3x & never get tired of them. You'd like the song "Sweet Virginia" from Exile on Main St. albumn & the WHOLE Sticky Fingers albumn. As a musician, I can assure you they play their own instruments & absolutely NO ONE has moved like Jagger before or since. Steve Tyler looks a bit like Mick, but MJ is peerless ! (Listen to Sweet Virginia, esp. if you like blues & harmonica).
This is a breakup song, but he still cares for her and is trying to let her down easy. The Rolling Stones have a LOT of great songs. You mentioned Sympathy for the Devil. That's an excellent one to do next!
Brother ! I went to a concert last night. The band was "The Record Company." AMAZING!! You might want want to give them a listen. Rock with a blues sound. Freaking great. God Bless.
One thing I love about the rolling stones beside the music is they have a sense of humor Paint it black is a good one. Sympathy for the devil. You can't always get what you want

"HELTER SKELTER"

A lot of people call Steven Tyler the American Mick Jagger because of not only their looks, but the way they strut and dance on stage.
Fire signs just can't help themselves, especially Leos.
Aerosmith came after the Stones, and they were called Stones clones for many years. Both had a strong blues influence early on.
The Walmart jaggar

Joan Rivers used to claim that Mick and Steve were actually the same person before she delivered the zinger, “There can’t be two singers out there with lips big enough to french kiss a moose to death.”
I'm 66 and grew up with this music -- and I agree with you, Mick Jagger and Steve Tyler _did_ share some visual similarities. I'm guessing Tyler may have idolized and/or therefore patterned himself a little after Mick Jagger, early on.
I have to say I love your quirky little smile right at the very end every time!
You picked the right video to this is my favorite song 💯❤️ Angie
It was written for Angela Bowie, David's wife. I saw them 3x & never get
tired of them. You'd like the song "Sweet Virginia" from Exile on Main St.
albumn & the WHOLE Sticky Fingers albumn. As a musician, I can assure
you they play their own instruments & absolutely NO ONE has moved
like Jagger before or since. Steve Tyler looks a bit like Mick, but MJ is
peerless ! (Listen to Sweet Virginia, esp. if you like blues & harmonica).
This is my favorite Rolling Stones song. Thank you.
They started out doing a lot of rhythm and blues. He did a cover of Otis Redding, "That's How Strong My Love Is" that I really liked as a teen.
Fabulous! Would love to hear some "country" Rolling Stones. Dead Flowers.
" Sympathy for the Devil " is the greatest Stones Song.
This is a breakup song, but he still cares for her and is trying to let her down easy.
The Rolling Stones have a LOT of great songs. You mentioned Sympathy for the Devil. That's an excellent one to do next!
This and Wild Horses were two of my favorites, been to 4/5 concerts and never played either.
Brother ! I went to a concert last night. The band was "The Record Company." AMAZING!! You might want want to give them a listen. Rock with a blues sound. Freaking great.
God Bless.
Angie is a great song. Love it.
Time is on my side. That's a great one from the past.
Yep, that and little red rooster are my favs

Sympathy for the Devil is another one.
I saw them live when I was 12 in '64. Incredible. Still remember every detail.
Definitely, "Sympathy for the Devil" is a must listen to.
One thing I love about the rolling stones beside the music is they have a sense of humor
Paint it black is a good one. Sympathy for the devil. You can't always get what you want
