David Cronenberg’s theatrical debut was Shivers in 1975. The Fly was 1986. Before Shivers Cronenberg directed several short films and few tv projects. Most of them were put out on BD by Arrow Video. Between Shivers and the Fly he directed several films. Some of which are his most iconic work such as Rabid, The Brood, The Dead Zone, Scanners and Videodrome.
My parents took me to watch Gremlins as a kid when it came out. That was a mistake. I was scared shitless lol! When I was outside and heard a cat make those noises I would freeze in fear. I’ve never been afraid of anything more in my life than those puppets!

Tremors is one of my favorite films of all time, but it was released in 1990. The movie Dune was released in 1984 based on the novel which was published in 1965. So it would be after the sandworms of Dune, not before them.

The Alien 1979 Xenomorph blew all of these monsters away. I did really like some of these movies though.
